Dead drug dealer and a junkie can not sell or do drugs.

So if there are 100,000 drug dealers and 2 million junkies in Philippines, you are going to kill all of them? Even if you do that, it will be of no use. Every year, new users get addicted to various soft and hard drugs. These 2 million will be replaced in a short time span.
Yeah that tactics is neutralize the drug lords ,protector and suppliers of them. And in my opinion if Duterte finished his term the drug dealers and drug lords they do it again their business.

Let us be positive about this. The government are also putting mentally to the next generation that the drugs must stop at all cost, so in the future if Duterte finished his term, the war on drug will still  continue.

PH killing drug users, USA legalizing drugs. Few years ago I would thought it would be other way around.
Yeah they have their own method in leading the country and they have their own tactics in drugs problem.Overall they are crossing their different paths.

Can the president of the Philippines can do it. Well I like what his doing in his campaign. It is very amazing program and very work program in the country. Many were discipline now because of him.
And where he will take the money? I think that his experiments are very bad for the Filipinos. Now they had a falling out with the Americans and help them no one will.
But Philippines have a developing ties with Russia and China that will invest over 40 billion dollars in Philippines.Because of some bias report that President Obama read about EJK in Philippines so Obama criticized the Philippines and our President willing to cut ties between the Philippines and USA.What is allies for if you are not supporting each other and believing only on bias report on him.
personally Philippines is a wealthy country so for sure Americans will not leave it regarding to alliance pres duterte already have many of them look on a fair reports in each country he visited he build strong connections so for sure we will be more stronger in coming days he just wanted to eliminate drugs because it causes problem then after that he will start rebuilding the Philippine economy glad to have him as our president.

I admire Duterte's war against drug. But let's get real, he might reduce the drug deals, labs and everything related into it but still Philippines will not be drug free.

Drug addiction can't be wiped out with the threat of violence. Even in countries such as Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, where drug usage can get you a death sentence, you will find large number of people who take drugs. Addiction to hard drugs can be fought only with awareness and medical treatment. And legalization of soft drugs will help vulnerable individuals to stay away from hard drugs.

Free wifi is not really the answer for the Telcos overcharging in bills. We need investor that can compete with the current monopoly o  telco. Foreign investor are good but they are not allowed 100% of the stocks.

I don't know much about the taxes in Philippines, but I believe that one of the reasons for the high cost of internet connection may be government taxes. Duterte should first reduce the taxes

Expect to have more pinoys actually. He recently asked TelCo companies to set up free wifi zones to public places in the country. This will give the rest of the pinoys to have access on the internet for free and might just clam here aiming to accumulate more btc.  Grin

Free WiFi is OK. But to browse the internet, you need a smartphone or a laptop. Is he having any plans to distribute laptops for free? He can import used and discarded laptops from the US.

I think free wifi in the country is a really good way for a president, especially for his campaign. And if the free wifi exist because of president, the citizens who don't have a smartphone or laptop is not his bussines. He just give a free wifi to the country.

He is now in economy. He doing it for the betterment of the country because he knows that Philippines will be rise soon. Philippines will take a lead in Asia when the time comes. And it is good to see that in the future. I hope I will be the one feel that development.

lmao. you should hope that all Filipinos will feel the development of the country as far as I know all Filipino are hoping for it to happen and most of them believing that president Duterte will give his best effort to do what he promised but of course he can do it with our support and cooperation, we need to be disciplined if we really want a change for our country it is not only the President's job but all citizens of the Philippines.

Of course it won't and it will only serve to marginalise people and militarise the police.

Exactly. It will work like all the other prohibitions made by any government in the world - in short, it won't. It's amazing how can people still don't get anything from history lessons. Harsh measures from a government only call for a harsh response from the criminals. A country  with a population over 100 million will never be drug free.

how would you marginalize between hard and soft drugs,if you impose a ban on something people will find a way to make money out of the situation and that is how the illegal market flourishes throughout the world and the amount of punishment wont deter people from doing these kind of trades

Soft drugs are those who don't have any adverse effect on the human health. Examples are weed and peyote. They are different from hard drugs such as Heroin and Krokodil. If soft drugs are available, then people will refrain from using hard drugs.

Rodrigo DUterte is a very effective leader. He is a man of his word and really have a good philosophy and humor that makes him to be trustworthy for most Filipino. His strategy on eliminating drug is very effective and well planned with due process.

In this strategy, there are certainly more advantages than disadvantages. But this kind of business you want to control, and even have a state monopoly. Otherwise, the problem can not win.
