There's no harm in trying.. I mean use a VPN if you value your privacy, and since you are aware of the possible risk then you have to manage the risk. Like for example, if I like to preserve my privacy like I don't want my real IP address to be public, my option is to only use a VPN everytime I gamble, and since I'm aware of the risk, I will make sure that I will not store money in my gambling account and withdraw my winnings when the limit that I set is already meet.
So if one day they will freeze our accounts, it's not that a big of a loss since we were able to manage it. And also, you can easily let go of it while learning that the risk is real. So it's up to you if you still gamble using a VPN or not, try different sites for different experience.
Freezing an account is a problem as nobody wants to loose that money especially if it is a big amount. Who would let it go so easily and just see it as a learning experience? So if they block your account that has 1000$ you would just accept it and learn from it? The first step is asking the casino if they allow a VPN (I always ask livechat), if that is the case, than it already feels better to use one.
Sometimes even if the agent from the livechat could deliver a wrong information, agent are not their forever, they are just employees that could live if they find a better opportunity. However, the TOS is their, it's specific, what's written is the rules that are guiding us gamblers, so if it's written in the TOS, they cannot deny it anymore, unless there's a words saying, that they could change the rules anytime even without informing the gamblers.
Well, if we must be honest with ourselves, I think every term and conditions I've ever come across does have that line like "we have the right to edit or change anything in this terms of service/condition at any given time without prior notice to anyone", though it's actually not specifically as I have put it, but I personally do come across such lines when reading terms and conditions belonging to not just gambling casinos, but other platforms as well.
But then, the thing is, it is still the customer right to know when ever the terms and conditions of the casino he or she is playing on changes, this is very important since terms and conditions isn't just some shity time waster document, but actually a legal binding, it's what legally binds the casino to their customers individually and generally, so, as such, it is the customer's right to know when ever a thing changes in a casino's terms and conditions.
And talking about customer representatives, you are right, they are humans hired to do a job, and they can leave that job at any time.
For me, I don't think it's wise depending solely on what a customer care says all the time, it is more professional to rely on what is written in the terms and conditions, than rely on what a customer care says, some of them actually don't even know the terms of conditions of the company they are working for.
