Google Analytics was introduced to Devtome June 26, 2013. It has been incorporated into the website to track content, visitors, popular pages, unique visitors, depth of visit, and reports. Having Google Analytics tracking popular content, keywords, and traffic sources, allows for Devtome to be monetized and become not only self supporting, but profitable. Once Devtome becomes profitable, proceeds will be converted to devcoins, and distributed to writers in proportion to their unique page views.

Not bad, hopefully we can make it to the top 100 000 Alexa soon Smiley

FYI
Next Step: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-tftc_nLYI
http://www.openplm.org/trac

We are aproaching the next goal for our developers - the collaboration Platform -  I hope this helps partialy to realize in what direction the project develop itself.
Even we gonna run our own PLM system for the devda.ch projects it its hightly recomended that developers build there own small developing circles by using the presented tools/software for that purpose.

Openplm is the next Step to automatisation - a 2d platform that should allow to create and "realize" reallife objects present in the 3d simulator. To realize means a output on a kind of printer 3d or 2d, independent of the material used for its production.
Meanwhile is our 3d simulator up and running stable but there is still a lot work to do and ongoing. Next target is a stable and secure inworld economy.

This chart will probably shed some light.  You can ask for just about any time period it seems.  I came to the Bitcoin scene in March while it was "blowing up" so I remember it well.  There are some peaks in the DVC/BTC exchange during that time.  I wouldn't know how to interpret that though Wink

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/period-charts.php?period=1-year&resolution=day&pair=dvc-btc&market=vircurex

Question for some of the guys who have been here a long time.

Back in Feb, March and April - before Bitcoin blew up and right when it blew up - how did Devcoin behave on the various CryptoCoin exchanges?

By the time I got here in May or so, Devcoin was at $.00041 USD, which I thought was dirt cheap and quickly bought a couple million coins and then added more Devcoins like 6 weeks later at $.00021.

I'm curious because I firmly believe Bitcoin will shatter $1,000 in under 12 months after getting its ETF license and I'm also certain that it will take a lot of crypto coins up with it and especially these old school original survivor coins, like Devcoin.  And I expect a few CryptoCoins to really increase in price by a massive amount - think DELL 1991-2000.

Now, I can predict (with fair accuracy) Bitcoin's price action before and after they get their ETF license (presuming they get it) based on my long experience with stock speculation but it's much harder to predict how Bitcoin's ETF will affect other alt coins like Devcoin.

So knowing what signs Devcoin's price action was showing leading up to and after Bitcoin blew up to $266 may help me figure out what to look for in Devcoin - as Devcoin is in my top 2 alt coins to accumulate for what I firmly believe will be a massive, media-hyped, global crypto-coin frenzy.

Thanks in advance.

Still approaching the 1 BTC = 2 millions dvc threshold on vircurex.....sob... Embarrassed

Meanwhile, the earnings on BitVisitor have been way better than normal, so there's another easy way to earn some Bitcoin while you're waiting for a better price for your DVC (you wouldn't dream of selling your babies for only 51 sat!  Right?).  Those 80-100 uBTC per website do add up and lately there have been a lot of high paying advertisers.

If you input your address going through my affiliate link you'll make me super happy Wink

Edit: CoinAd has been pretty decent too Smiley

I don't understand this - how can you earn bitcoins?  I don't know if this is off topic or not so maybe PM if it is.

And thanks for the rebuke.  You're absolutely right - writing a little at a time is the best way to go. I'm just used to sitting down and writing for 8 hours straight and a few times I literally went over 24 hours without stopping.  But that's a good way to burn out so I will try doing it the way you're suggesting.

This is a bit off topic so pm me if this doesn't make sense, but try it first.  Here's the step by step process to earn on BitVisitor:

Step 1:  Go to the website.

Step 2:  Enter your BTC address, hit enter.

Step 3:  Enter the code by copying the letters from the image (similar to a Captcha), hit enter.

Step 4:  Look at the website it brings you to.  Stay on that site for five minutes.  There is a counter and when it counts down a bright green NEXT button appears.  Click on that (that's when your earnings are credited).  You'll be automatically taken to the next page where you have to enter a code, repeat step 3, then step 4.

Rinse and repeat until you've visited all the available sites or you get tired of it, whichever comes first.  Payouts happen shortly after you've earned 100 uBTC.

When I first started going on BitVisitor several months ago, earnings per site visited averaged 8 to 16 uBTC.  Now I visit some sites for over 100 uBTC.  There are a lot more sites to visit too, so earnings actually do become significant, and they do add up.  Aside from the earnings, it's a good way to keep up on some of the new developments/businesses in the Bitcoin world because a lot of people advertise on BitVisitor.

Edit:  For more tips on simple ways to earn Bitcoin, you can visit my new website Creative Currencies and subscribe to the email list.  Oddly enough, the essay I mentioned that I was halfway through writing was a review of BitVisitor.  I have other similar reviews of earning sites on my blog and published on the Devtome and hope to put up more.

I'll go ahead and step in to answer this.

Normally this round should have ended at block 101,300 (and it was planned to be calculated out on Monday). Due to something that came up, however, it has been extended slightly (not by a block count, though) to today. This wasn't the intention originally and there is no official time for when it will be calculated out today.

Hope that helps!

Just as an FYI, when this kind of thing comes up, it would be good to communicate it sooner rather than later.  For example, I have an essay half written, but I saw the count hit 101,300, so I figured I'd missed the end of the round, I have a super busy week, and now there's about another month to get it done for the next round.  However, if I'd known that there was an extension, I probably would have pushed to get it finished and published, maybe stayed up a bit later last night, etc.  Now, I could possibly write it but I have other things to do.

This is not intended to be a complaint at all.  I'm doing just fine for round 26, just wanted to mention it as something to consider.  No matter what is going on with when the round ends, especially if it changes, it would be really awesome to just have someone in the know post it here.  Then we all have complete information with which to prioritize how we will spend our day (will it be in writing just one more 1000 words to earn an extra share?  or will it be in doing something else?).

Vlad, I have a really full and busy life so I totally understand that it's hard to make time to write, and it's hard to make time to write consistently.  Those constraints definitely interfered with it for me this round, as in I didn't write as much as I'd hoped I would.  Still, it's fairly predictable that it takes about 10 minutes for one block to be opened, so a 4,000 block round will take a month.  Surely, with a little bit of planning ahead, you can set aside some time to write and publish a few thousand words in the next month.  All it takes is a little bit of time on a regular basis--even if it's only 15 minutes a day.  Just sit down and write.  Maybe you only get 250 words written, but then do that four times and you have one share.  I have had times where I started to write something, then got interrupted (4 children at home including a new baby will do that! + I have a part time job I absolutely love), and couldn't come back to it for another day or so.  But still, even having started an essay (even if it was only 100 words) made it easier for me to get back into it at the next opportunity.  And at the end of the round, maybe I didn't get as many shares as I'd have hoped for, but as least I do get some shares because I at least wrote something even if it wasn't as much as I'd have liked.

I mention this as a way to encourage you to just start.  Twice now I've seen a post from you lamenting the fact that you were too busy to write this round and lamenting the fact that the close of the round took you by surprise.  Maybe you don't have enough time to write as much as you'd like to write.  However, I'm sure you have some time to write a little bit and then a little bit more, and at least by the end of next round (when it starts getting paid out), you'll have something coming in, even if it's a small amount, but at least it will be something.

The bottom line is that the way to keep those generated earnings coming in isn't so much to write a lot in huge blocks of time, but to write consistently.  If you have two hours a day to devote to this, that's great, but most of us don't, so we need to set smaller goals like fifteen minutes several times a week, or in my case, squeeze it in when I can sometimes in five minute segments.  But as long as you keep at it and don't give up, you should be getting something.

This writing for the Devtome is such an incredible opportunity that it would be totally frustrating to not take advantage of it.  Just remember:  while a lot is awesome, a little bit is still way better than nothing.  So start with setting a goal, carving out a time and then sticking with it to get a little; then build on that Smiley  And whatever you do, don't give up!  Celebrate the small successes.

I'm looking forward to you posting here that hey, you got five shares this round and you're so happy about that.  Then next time it will be 10.  Go for it!

That's pretty good.  Do you remember round 26 ending at 101,300 as well?  Maybe I have a few days left to write but I don't think so, I think I missed the whole round.  It felt awesome to wake up everyday and see something extra in my account.

At first I wanted to get paid all at once but this daily paycheck thing is awesome.  It keeps you in check when it comes to buying anything while making everyday a payday.  Very nice concept.  Thanks for the info.

Is the current round, (round 25?) over at 101,300 which means it's now too late to submit anything?  That's the number I remember but I'm not sure if it's correct.  Been way too busy this month so I'm hoping I'm not too late.  TIA.

101,300 is what I remember.  Why not submit some essays now and then you'll get credited in round 27?

Oh, and the current round is 26.

Man, that's what I thought.  I didn't have time to write a single essay this round.  Now I have to wait almost 2 months for a payout - it was nice getting something everyday - even a small amount.   That Arizona trip for my brother came out of nowhere - that's what I get for waiting until the last second.

I do hope to write for round 27 - with my luck round 26 will have a big payout, lol.

At least I have some devcoins set aside in case the price does rebound.
