Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong. Gambling should be done to entertain yourself only, and always remember that gambling is not a sound financial investment. I have witnessed the horrors of people who blow their kids college funds and life savings on gambling at a Casino. Don't be one of these people. Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.
Play for fun, play with caution and play with what you cannot afford to loss. These are some of the advice that have been echoed here over and over. However, some persons don't see gambling as something that should be fun filled, they see it as a source of income and they make costly mistakes.

A gambler should have a weekly or monthly budget and when he must have exhausted it he should stop playing. He should call it quit when he's on a losing streak and never chase after his losses, doing so will only cause him more losses, thus leaving him sad, angry and depressed.

Most often, people start to get involved in gambling for the sake of money, in our society, a lot is connected with money, and most of the time a person thinks about how to make money. Playing for fun means allocating a few tens of dollars for gambling and playing sometimes, this will save you from any stress or losses, but most often it doesn’t work like that.

Players try to find a strategy that will bring them money, they test it, lose money, then try again, there is little fun in it. The one who understands that he can’t make money here leaves, the one who earns something tries again. And someone, after losing on gambling, tries to win back, this is how things are in reality.

Have a daily or weekly gambling budget and learn which games you like and how to play them so that you can actually have much more fun playing them than just winging any game.
Topic has been discussed at length.

Addicted gamblers are never playing for fun, they are playing for the rush that comes when you take risk and the suspense of winning big or losing it all. Also the reason why "Max Bet" exists in so many casinos. Anyway, it is difficult for them to actually practice a bankroll management or set up a weekly/monthly quota for betting.

They will try to chases losses and make more, the only way to stop the vicious cycle is to shut yourself off from these sites and accept the losses while trying to earn and make it up.

The main problem is that those addicted gamblers have already lost all discipline and all structure in their lives. Their gambling addiction has their dopamine going awry into overdrive and that itself is the problem. Those addicts need to take a very long or even permanent break from gambling. Or at least until their brain chemical regulation is back in normal values.

The only reason why they feel the need to bet the maximum is because they have already conditioned themselves to feel like that. That is what happens when a inexperienced person throws him/herself into the world of gambling without a plan or a strategy to cut risks and losses.

There are many tragic stories that occur as a result of considering gambling as a medium that can free themselves from financial problems, most of them forget that being too involved in gambling can make them buried in a huge mountain. When you misunderstand the true meaning of gambling, that's when you will often have problems in life. Everyone really likes this activity for various reasons depending on each individual, but you need to remember, gambling is only a place to have fun, not a place to seek wealth.
Of course, I never gamble to seek wealth, occasionally I gamble but within reasonable limits if I manage to make a small profit I don't continue the game, I will stop and withdraw the profit. but profits don't come every day, I do it at least when I receive a salary and only use 10% of 100% of my salary to gamble if I lose I will stop and not continue to chase my losses because if I continue to chase losses It is not impossible that I will lose my entire salary to gambling, which will of course harm me even more.
Not seeking wealth in gambling is a very good thing to be able to avoid addiction to gambling because if you have experienced addiction to gambling, this will be very bad for us so that we run out of money gambling and cannot fulfill our income. I am very interested in your gambling strategy, you can control yourself in gambling so that you don't take more money than you have determined. You are right if we have experienced defeat in gambling and we are chasing defeat to be able to win, of course this will make our income run out not left.

Man, I don't know about you but I feel like frugal and gambler shouldn't be a thing, you won't be having fun if you're thinking of the money that you're spending in regards to gambling because you're not thinking about the games you will be playing, you will be thinking of money and how you will be able to get back that money that you spent on gambling. You're better off not gambling at all if you consider yourself a "frugal gambler".

Most gamblers can do this and it is not a challenge for them to do it, however those which could benefit from the advice that you are giving do not really care, they are so convinced they can obtain profits with gambling that just a few words here and there are not going to convince them to change their ways, which is a shame as they will have to learn the hard way, and even then there are many people that never change their way of thinking, even when they lose everything.
Some may have realized this and can easily do anything to save or regulate the financial limits used for gambling but most still tend to be more careless where they risk all the money they have for unclear results from gambling.
We know that gambling can make someone change their life when they succeed in getting very big win but in gambling there is always uncertainty or clarity about when we will win so risking all the money we have will only make things more difficult for us in our daily.

A person way of thinking is sometimes quite stupid when they expect something big in matter of uncertainty therefore it is highly recommended to gamble within control and have limits whether financial limits or limits on the number of bets.

experienced gamblers or bettors definitely understand how gambling works and they come to look for fun and try their luck with the amount they can afford to lose, but on the other hand, for gamblers who have not been betting for a long time, they will have bad thoughts about gambling, considering gambling as a money multiplier.

this is the ridiculous thing they do, the mistake of thinking that a place to gamble is a place to have fun but it turns into a place to make money and most of the gamblers I know have thoughts like that. until one day in the area where I live there was a young man telling his friend about needing money to pay for school and another friend giving him bad advice "deposit your money and double it in slot games" indirectly this is like the doctrine or indeed the mindset of gamblers today completely misunderstood how gambling works.

maybe this is one of the big impacts of the current development of online gambling and gambling advertisements from influencers which makes gamblers have the wrong understanding because sometimes influencers when they are broadcasting live playing slots only see big wins and make gamblers think badly. I dont blame influencers but its just that the gambler mindset is wrong.

You can only advice them but you can't force them to do it because it is a personal choice and the fun in gambling comes when you win and no third world gambler went to the gambling hall or site for fun. They are not interested in having fun gambling but they are there to earn money. As you said, people have wasted their school fees, feeding money marriage money and their contribution money yet you are saying gambling is for fun. Hey! Guy that should be an Illusion. That saying can't motivate me. When I have lost big and you want to tell me that it is for fun.

This your thread just like a repetition of other thread we have discussed this matter time without number. And it is only an addicted gambler can set a gambling budget for himself and if the person is not an addict them there is no need to do such. And it is not easy to set gambling budget just to gamble.

I am not going to be one of those people who are going to complain about the fact that this topic has been discussed at length here, because each new thread like this advocate for responsible gambling and people's memory are short... so these threads serve as a reminder.

Gambling is a form of entertainment and you should never spend more on any entertainment, than what you can afford. Stick to a budget and if it is not fun anymore.... stop doing it.

I like to gamble, because it is a fun activity and I enjoy it even more... if there are a social angle to it. (Chat option or speaking to people in a brick n mortar casino)  Grin Grin Grin

Therefore, it's just right to gamble with a desire of having fun. So you can enjoy the games and you'll not be pressured to win because your reason for playing is to entertain yourself. If only many gamblers can have this mindset, then we can prevent seeing them becoming addicted due to lack of self-control.
Yes, it is important to be able to control yourself with the right mindset because that way we can control all the feelings that harm ourselves when gambling. All beginners should understand this so they don't get trapped in addiction because once you become an addict it is quite difficult to recover from that addiction. and I once saw an addict find it difficult to recover completely and he always said that he regretted gambling with an unhealthy mindset.

The mindset of gambling while having fun is a much healthier mindset compared to unhealthy mindsets such as gambling to make money and making gambling a permanent source of income and in the end it doesn't produce anything. because gambling should be able to entertain yourself

Play for fun. If you are not playing for fun, you are doing it wrong.

I'm going to disagree with this. Maybe it's advisable for gamblers who aren't serious about their journey. But what about people who believe they can make money through gambling? That might sound funny, right? It only sounds funny if you don't believe that once you have skills in gambling, you'll be able to use them. If you don't believe that there are people who make a living from gambling, such as sports bettors, poker players, and probably others, then you'll be close-minded about the positive side, specifically the profit potential.

Remember that casinos make money not because every gambler is losing money, but because the majority are losing, so the profit belongs to the few successful gamblers.

Absolutely the right idea. Few people understand that casinos and other types of gambling are needed only for fun. And every player is greatly mistaken when he begins to think that this can be earned. Our human brain is very fond of extrapolating, and as soon as a player wins a large sum of money, he begins to think that now it will always be like this, and you can even plan spending for the coming months, because "then I'll be lucky too." And every player is selfish, and this is very detrimental. And if such a player wins, then he thinks "this is the expected outcome for my great skills," and if he loses, then it's a huge blow for him: "I'm nothing, and I have to recoup right now."

It's hard to say what's right or wrong in this context. Making money from gambling might not work for some, but it doesn't mean it's the same for everyone. I agree that many people end up losing, but whether it's a good idea or not might depend on individual circumstances.
I wonder why this topic is so repeated around here in the gambling subforum.
I mean, I do not mind because someone would need a little bit of a reminder to stay on track about their gambling habits and who they are not supposed to see a money making opportunity on casinos. However, Sometimes it is sincerely tiring to read the same several times in the same week.
Discussing topics like this can seem somewhat pointless, and I believe it's a matter of personal choice. There shouldn't be any pressure to conform to a particular viewpoint.

That's how it should be. Gambling is not a source to earn money so relying on the profit you can possibly get when you gamble is not really right. Because you're not even certain if you can double your money when you use it to play.

Therefore, it's just right to gamble with a desire of having fun. So you can enjoy the games and you'll not be pressured to win because your reason for playing is to entertain yourself. If only many gamblers can have this mindset, then we can prevent seeing them becoming addicted due to lack of self-control.

We must protect ourselves to avoid negative financial impacts due to gambling, so never assume that gambling can be used as part of an investment that produces regular profits, many cases have caused large losses due to the greed factor of gambling and misunderstanding that gambling can make a profit. We have to raise the awareness of every gambler to explain the true meaning of gambling just for fun and we also remind them to minimize gambling losses by having to set a low budget for gambling needs, so tips for frugal gambling are very simple as explained above but some gamblers are out of the circle safe for the purpose of making a profit from gambling, but their greedy gambling will lead to greater losses.

I agree with your post but knowing a gambler’s mindset, it will be more fun if you are also winning your game. That’s the reality in gambling. It will be more entertaining if we are also making some profits out of our losses. However, if one will certainly stick to your post, which I think that’s how gambling should be, yes you may play for fun and entertainment with your favorite games, but it’s still inevitable for most of the gamblers to bet on a bigger amount and expect for a higher rewards most especially if you also know how to play the game well. Thus, you are  satisfying yourself with your games while your wallet is filled with profits as well.
However, I agree with what you have said, and it is true that there will be more fun if the gambler always wins and wins and wins, but how is that possible? It is not even a lucky charm can not make the user win all the time. So, as they say, gambling is for fun. We should never or not allow our happiness to lead us into danger, because while we are happy about winning, anytime we are losing we will still have the mindset that we will win (WWW) next time, and it can make a gambler, to become an addicted gambler. Like losing everything, we have to gamble, so we should set a limit for our gambling life and never exceed the limit.

Moreover, sometimes when we are gambling for fun, and we are not winning, we still end up increasing our stake and when it has gotten to such an extent, we should click the logout button if we are gambling online. Even if we are gambling online, we should still do the same.

I was watching Dana white talk about gambling and I share same reasons with him. Dana white is the head of UFC and definitely he is a successful business man so his approach should not be far from right.

Gambling is fun but If I am not to think wrongly of what Dana white was saying, he meant the present gamblers are taking it as too much of a fun game. Personally I love to gamble on clear head (no alcohol), have fun but still be reasonable enough to make the right decision, have my win target and loss target when either of this is reached I call it a day .

It's hard to teach people how to be frugal, let alone teach themselves that thing. It's like asking a candle to light itself without giving it any light source at all. I know that there are people who are really getting the fun in gambling and are not degenerates, but there are still a lot of people that are looking into gambling as the next big opportunity to improve their income. It's hard to sway their mindset if that's what they continue to believe, although it's never too late for them to change their ways if they really want to. They have to have some kind of support though, because initiating something isn't as easy as it sounds, especially if it contradicts whatever you've been doing for the longest of time.
