Musk does not engage in direct advertising and does not call for buying coins.

YET Smiley McAfee was not shilling to buy coins at the beginning too. When you compare both of them ... question is ... is it better when someone use his power to earn on pumps (MCAfee) or you do it just to laugh from people that are not smart enough to avoid FOMO into projects like cumrocket.

And how would you call tweeting about DOGE all the time. Promising to "take doge to the moon", Lying that he is talking with DOGE devs about improvements (DEVS denied)

The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, again stirred up the cryptocurrency market on Friday, leaving a seemingly harmless message about his new dog.

He said that he chose a nickname for his Shiba Inu puppy. His name will be Floki. In early May, Elon Musk first announced that he intends to take a Shiba Inu puppy. Then the cost of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency increased by 68% in an hour.

After Friday's announcement by Musk, the Shiba Inu exchange rate increased by 26%, but later corrected. However, another thing is more interesting: 9 minutes after the appearance of Musk's post on Twitter, the Floki token was created on the decentralized Uniswap crypto exchange. Within an hour, its price increased by 795%, to $0.000000001100. As a result, the growth was about 3500%.

Do you think this is another attempt to influence the crypto market? Will the project be eco-friendly, because in the case of chia, everything was not so positive? There are already green projects on the market, for example, Crypton , for mining which only needs Internet access and a PC.

Is all the excitement around the project really a hype? Like chiahype and etc.?

I don't think that is an attempt to influence the crypto market. I think it was just somebody that saw the tweet of Elon Musk and once he saw the name of his dog then he immediately created that Floki token. That whole meme-coin thing gets really out of hand now. I thought the hype would die out but so far it sticks around.
I really like cryptos but stuff like this almost makes me want to beg for a huge bear market now with a 90% drop or more, even though it means i am personally in a huge loss. People are really just aping in in no matter what sh't token with absolutely no use-case. I am pretty sure all those meme-coins are also a big factor for the current negative market sentiment, because no one can take a market like that seriously.

I am sure Elon Musk knew what would be going to happen, but who cares about that Floki token. A few tried to get in as fast as possible and take profit as fast as possible. The thing is that it has become such a mania that indeed substantial money is flowing into these meme coins as soon as Elon Musk is involved. Not because he pumps it himself, but because a herd movement emerges every single time now, everyone looking for the quick and easy buck at the cost of someone else who is late to the party.

I don't exactly blame Elon Musk for this. The thing is that there are some very smart people who know how the sentiment of new traders work and they know exactly how to manipulate these sentiments. This is why the Shiba Inu coin was invented in the very first place. Also, not only the price of Shiba Inu rocketed up but at the same time, the market capitalization of this coin went so high that it came into the top 50 cryptocurrencies, which is really something huge. But all this is just a hoax, a modern-day scam in which the culprit are the people themselves. I don't blame the token creators for this at all and neither do I blame Elon for this, people themselves are responsible for this.

I don't think Elon musk actually created this Floki token, there are several scammers out there who are always looking for opportunities like this to scam people off their hard earned money and I suspect this is one of those attempts, Elon musk gave this puppets an opportunity which they seized to make themselves richer, if Elon really was a sensible person, he shouldnt have made he's interest in creating a coin public before actually doing it, because due to how influential he is, scammers will sure go before him to create a clone of his project for the purpose of sucking peoples wealth, I just pray peeps don't later come back crying about how they lost their life savings in this floki sh..t.

People started to create projects without any purpose for very long time so this is another token influenced by Elon Musk helped to achieve such huge growth rate in just 8 or 9 minutes or so but what is the goal of such project? They create and hype then sell their tokens for profits and leave the holders, isn't it?

Elon Musk is one of crypto sensation that could influence any particular crypto once he intentionally or unintentionally tweet something about crypto subjects. Well, he might be the creator of shitcoin hype now. He can hype the token from his single post. Very interesting influence and popularity followed by millions of crypto people. I hope one day I can ride with the hyper.
If you like Elon Musk because he is able to create hype in the crypto space, then you can always follow his tweets through his social media accounts, because usually those who are late to follow Elon Musk's tweets will not find maximum profits because shitcoin hype will not always last in the long term.
Everyone knew when Elon Musk tweeted that the coin would create hype,
and you could say it has been proven as happened with dogecoin and doge baby,
what you say is true indeed the coin meme hype won't last long

Elon just tweeted so some people like what others said just taking advantage since Elon is so popular with crypto developers are creating coins and putting hype on it, by saying Elon tweeted this, and the people fall for it, Elon has nothing to do with pump, he just say what he likes, because remember Elon is not connected with those sprouting new coins in the market, so to avoid losing tons of money make research and don't just look on person tweet.

It seems I have developed a special kind of phobia that when I see a post about Elon Musk I get frightened with the thought of the crash about to accompany such news about Elon Musk. I wonder what I should call this kind of phobia? lol. But seriously though, most of the time I read anything about Elon Musk, it leaves a bitter taste in my throat since every time it mostly revolves about crap tweets and such. He may be doing these things to manipulate the market or just to troll. Either way, no one can really tell for sure. As for this special case, I think this is just an independent act by some clever guy to take advantage of Elon Musk's influence right now which I think is quite a good idea. Good for the guy who  made money with this and a crispy mehh for the people dumb enough to take Elon Musk's words seriously enough to make them invest in such a coin that is bound to be abandoned sooner or later. Oh well..

Was it just a coincidence that in just 9 minutes developers created a token and listed it. and provided the liquidity so that people could buy and sell?... WOW

I think Elon Musk is trying to make a new coin to be manipulated by him because we see Elon Musk often doing that in Bitcoin and Dogecoin, only now Elon Musk has difficulty manipulating the price of Dogecoin and Bitcoin so he prefers to make his own coin.

Even if he makes his own shitcoin, then very few people will fall into his trap, because I think the majority of the people knows that Elon is a manipulator and eventually they will lose their money. So I think Elon Musk's game is almost over.
there are many people that want to make easy profit and even if they know that elon is a manipulator they will still bite into it but there would be some that call it quits because they are not lucky to be on time .
this is not a co incidence because elon tweeted it first but im not sure if the coin is owned by elon or it created by someone and he only gets a commision for promoting it .

This all Hyped project, i don't follow his tweet anymore many might trapped in on the process. have you really take a look at DOGECOIN to see the reaction now. many novice got trapped buying dogecoin @ $0.7 thinking it will get $1 but that didn't work after his tweet. he does that for his self interest to pull out his resources from the project. even if you will get involve in his tweet be sensitive enough to know when about dumping.

we will see did elon musk will make shit coin or good quality project different with every shilled that he done. as we know elon musk shilling shit project to manipulate meme coin , start from doge coin shiba inu and baby doge for lastest. with his techprenuer as background it should not be difficult for elon musk make project that bring great solution like he did in Tesla.

Elon Musk currently has a bad reputation in the crypto world, with everything he did by manipulating the prices of Bitcoin and Dogecoin. So I'm sure
Elon Musk will just make shitcoins, with the sole purpose of making money. I don't believe Elon Musk will make such a quality project. What did for
Tesla do differently, because the crypto world for Elon Musk is only a place to make profit. So I'm not interested in investing in a project that Elon Musk
will create.

I also believe that Elon Musk has nothing to do with the creation of the Floki token, i believe instead it was created by someone who tries to exploit the wave of popularity and in particular that joking tweet of Musk, what i cannot understand is why Elon Musk is sponsoring / advertising these two altcoins (doge and shiba) to the far-fetched
we can only speculate with all the meme coins that Elon has tweeted...

Elon never divulged what exactly his purpose in tweeting dogecoin or Shiba was to the crowd so we can only speculate on that. but never buy a new meme coin in his tweet because it must be made by a fraudster who is always smart to find loopholes to steal people's money or he himself made the coin and then tweeted it to deceive people, who knows!

...I wonder if Elon will end like McAfee one day...

I don't think Musk won't make the same mistakes that John McAfee made. Musk does not engage in direct advertising and does not call for buying coins, unlike the late McAfee. But a community has formed around him, which is engaged in monetizing every word mentioned in his tweet.

I think this is not an attempt "to influence the crypto market", but some tricky person just created this token to sell it during hype. Elon Musk zero relationship to this Floki token.

This is a great example of how greedy people can be and how easily they can be tricked and controlled. This is so simple. Take what ever Elon says, create a token with same name and voila, you are locked and loaded for scam sale.
You are totally right and took the words right out of my mouth  Grin Since people are so now attached to whatever Elon musk tweets and this happened, then the result is what you see executed by the quick smart ones and it is really disappointing that people actually go for it even though I understand that we are all trying to make some profits but isn't this obvious that this is just another shitcoin?

Uhmm no or it could be just people are thinking that Elon invested in that coin already since he just mentioned the name. There are many overreactive person these days you know. Don't be surprised about celebrity making his/er followers just go and throw all their money thinking that it will go up just because Musk mentioned it.

I wonder if Elon will end like McAfee one day...

I doubt that. Elon is not on drugs. At least he is not promoting shady project for money, because he has enough Smiley
Elon Musk is simply different. He does things for society, and I dont remember McAfee doing the same.

Anyway, if this Floki token was really created by Elon, he would have used some kind of promotion of it, or have created a webpage for it as a minimum. But we see only a token, that perhaps, was created in a rush and there is nothing behind that.

McAfee developed antivirus software, doesn't sound too bad to me. We don't need to talk about the rest though...

We will first need to see how Tesla plays out in the long run. By now essentially everyone knows how Elon Musk treats the people who are working for him. The reports about working conditions are devastating. He does say that he is going to develop an environmental friendly electric car, but for that car you need certain ingredients. The question remains whether people in Africa and elsewhere will have to suffer for that in order to make the life in the Western world even better. It is a two edged sword so far.

Musk didn't "accidentally" create a new cryptocurrency. He knows what he is doing and probably sits in front of his screen enjoying how he became so powerful that he can move multi billion dollar markets with a single tweet.
