You could look up the maximum amount of coins in the sourcecode. I believe you mix circulating supply with max supply. But I'm too lazy to get that down now, they're working on it anyway.

Now, with this Circulating Supply, Embercoin has no future
What does that mean, please explain.
see the first post. there it is indicated that max supply is 850,000,000 coins. Then look here - https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/embercoin/ Here Circulating Supply is 92,190,000,000, almost 110 times the maximum possible. Accordingly, the value of the coin fell more than 100 times after the bug.

so that this coin comes to life it is necessary to roll everything back at the time of the bug, repair and start again. Many will leave, because lose their coins, but Embercoin will have at least a future. Now, with this Circulating Supply, Embercoin has no future

It wont die, there are much worse things around, traded on exchanges, and still gaining value even without being pumped. Real zombie coins. One example is PAC. Look that up and then look at Ember again Smiley

In stock markets shares can be split (similar to POS) and reverse split, the latter is what would probably make sense. Thus not burning coins, but combining them. Make 1 out of each 10 or so. But I don't think such mechanisms exist to date. Therefore it is irrelevant until some clever guy may come up with such idea. I would foresee the opposite, a split, looking at Bitcoin, it's value and the limited supply. For Ember, not really Smiley

the only way this coin could be saved is if they were to burn atleast half of all the coins, then it might jump the price up to 1 sat. emb has a total supply of 92,192,822,724 coins and a market cap of just 350,994. doge has a bit more coins at 111,811,313,632 but has a market cap of 135,042,350 and is only at 17 sat. if you were to keep the total supply the same you would have to increase the market cap from 1/3rd of a million up to 6.7 million just to reach 1 sat which at the rate that btc is going will never happen. on top of that there are no more btc/emb markets out there and nova is closing so the only exchange that has emb is cryptopia through doge and ltc. a lot will need to be done to resurrect this coin

Is there a burn coming up?

It's like just 1sats right now, how much can we expect the price to be if a burn happens?

dev we need you here lol
No feedback from dev or at least the community manager. Look like this is it, abandoned the ship.

No, Kisumin. It's not an abandoned coin. If you could enter into DISCORD group you will be more informed. There, the developer is very active and he does not seem to want to leave this project.

Get the 1.1.5 wallet and let it run for a day or 2. It will sync. If not, and you used an older wallet, you better delete the AppData\Roaming\Ember folder under your user account, but save the wallet.dat file (!). That includes your private key and all coins you own.

Thanks. This worked.

Wish I had known this when 1.1.4 came out. The devs in Discord said that all I had to do was copy the exe. Maybe I could have gotten a stake and dumped this while it was still worth something.

I'm pissed now.
