Great choice of posters by DarkStar_ and good to see nc50lc wearing a ChipMixer signature. They were really helpful and contributing a lot to the technical section. Also I was watching them rise up from 50 merits to 500 now.

While we're on this topic: For those interested in joining the campaign, would you rather have more frequent openings of single slots, or slightly less frequent openings but with multiple spots open?
You should just PM people you want in the campaign. Not that its a hassle to apply, but you'd probably save yourself a lot of time that way.

I would agree. I think you'll get roughly the same amount of applicants whether your have one slot or several and it's probably a lot harder to pick one than a handful so save yourself sometime and hassle and just do them in batches.

Thanks for applying everyone. It was extremely difficult deciding on the final 3-4 people which is why it took so long. If you weren't accepted, it doesn't mean that you're posts were bad. There were just so many good applicants and I had to narrow it down.

I don't like waiting lists either because there's always going to be some variation of people who I think should be accepted into the campaign and I don't want to pass on someone "better" because someone slightly worse but still acceptable was earlier on the list.
I've considered it, but I've decided not to for numerous reasons. The biggest one is that I don't know everyone, especially in Local sections/sections I don't frequent, and I don't want to primarily PM people who I actively talk with/see around.
Sending PMs that way might cause reports if someone don't like you, and you might be temporary banned (as I know of). I am not sure there are ones will report if receive your PMs to join ChipMixer campaign, but it is life and there are always some odds for that.Anyway, would you mind giving me a few words on my post quality, please.
Can I have chances in the campaign next rounds?
And if you can share ones are in your final list before taking out the last 3 above, it will make sense, give them higher hope for next rounds.
Things change for each round, from each applicant' issues and from other applicants in the same round, but it is a proud and motivation to know being in your final list.
A waiting list might be something to consider.

I prefer this one (assumed that I'll still interested, still eligible, and this campaign is still running). It's not good to have this kind of contest too often. IMO Mr. Olympia contest should be special.

The former option prevents spam of the Services thread, because the latter would have more overlap (i.e. users repeatedly apply in each slot opening vs. in one mass opening). However, by opening up frequently, you are able to judge people's post quality as they develop and the circumstances between members can change.It's a balance between favoring recruitment variety vs. favoring sanctity of the thread. I think the choice is obvious.

The campaign is very competitive, I know before applying, but I can not deny my feelings with the result.

I don't think there are too much difference with your two options. The competitive level is the same. Over time, I guess there are less chances to see open slots because when time goes, higher and higher quality participants in the campaign, that in turn decrease the odds of removed ones.
