I don't recall when was the last time someone left voluntarily
Probably (or, provably) no one.
I remember Lauda left this campaign a while ago and moved to FortuneJack, but I can't find back the post.

Not just Lauda. Search through the spreadsheet for the word "left" and you'll see quite a few of us left voluntarily for our own reasons like the pressure of the day job.

Next question: $6 per post, based on which exchange or website? Bitstamp? Bitcoinaverage? Gemini? At what point in time? 24 weighted volume average? The highest green candle of the day? The lowest red candle of the day?

1 BTC = 1 BTC, but now we will be paid in $, sent via BTC. Our $1200 per month will end up either $900 per month or $1500 per month depending on how you value it all.

At least, for tax reporting purposes, you can say this particular bitcoin you got this week is worth $6.

Effective this week, campaign payments have decreased to $6 USD/post. All other rules remain the same.
End of an era! It was very nice while it lasted. 191 weeks without pay reduction straight through 2 bull runs must be a record on Bitcointalk.
I'm slightly disappointed it's now pegged to USD though. I was hoping we'd reach rediculously high amounts per post again if when Bitcoin goes up 10 fold again Tongue

You guys are still making up to $1200 a month  Tongue

It's kinda eerie how TheQuin mentioned how all this speculation about price reduction will end up in an actual reduction, and barely three days have passed when this comes along. At least now we can name this phenomenon the Fleet Street Effect  Cool

I think some of the smears against ChipMixer and it's signature campaign were influenced by the large payments CM signature participants were receiving, both abstractly and when compared to what other campaigns pay. I think the reduction in pay should help alleviate those smears while still attracting participants who make very good posts.

Yeah, feels a bit like getting paid with monopoly money now after getting real cash for so long Wink

Not complaining though, Halab's not wrong about the bright side ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Are you sure Lauda was a participant of this Campaign?
Yes Smiley
The address can't be found anymore though, so it looks like all related posts have been deleted.

Are you sure Lauda was a participant of this Campaign? IIRC they never were, but DarkStar_ would know better I suppose.
Yes, from week 33 to 36.

keep in mind that most of the time except for a few months (maybe a year at most) the rate was below $6, i.e. BTC was below $8000.
When I applied to this campaign rate was ~$5 and for few months it was, I don't know, around $2.5 (IIRC late 2018. or early 2019.).

It's still a really good rate. And maybe this makes it a little more likely people will drop out and spots will open.

I planned on posting something clever and funny but now I'm not being paid enough to think of something Tongue

Seriously tho, I mean we all saw it coming Smiley Honestly I was already impressed when ChipMixer stayed true to their BTC rate when the 2017 bull market hit. For reference, BTC was at around USD 3000,- when this campaign started, so CM rode it out until the fiat equivalent increased more than tenfold. *not_bad.jpg

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.

NooooOoooOOOoOOoooOOOoO !!
I sensed an unpleasant disturbance in the Force these two last days Smiley
At least, there's not a minimum number of posts to do, otherwise I'd be in trouble Smiley
And for the disappointed, look on the bright side now : If the BTC goes up you get rich, if the BTC goes down you accumulate more.

Perks of being from third world country, the pay rate is still very good comparing the socio-economic conditions here.

Highest pay on this forum. Longest running campaign on this forum. No min requirements. Great guy running the campaign.

If you leave this campaign due to a drop in payment then idk, maybe the forum wasn't for you to begin with..

After posting for a few weeks in this forum I discovered this Services board, where I could see a lot of signature campaigns.
I was amazed that something like that existed.

I was already posting here, I was already deep involved with bitcoin for months since I discovered it. I was posting here and in Reddit, and I was amazed by the idea that I could really earn a few satoshis just by posting. Helping people around, sharing my knowledge, and learning. I have earned a lot just by asking questions! This is really amazing.

After a few months I saw this campaign. The payrate was about 200 per week. I though that was HUGE! This is a lot of money where I live.

A few days ago jackg said that those sig campaigns are like early mining. And I liked that idea. Since I have joined this forum, I was able to "mine" a lot from those signature campaigns, and it is really amazing that theymos allows us to do so.

And I 100% agree with Hhampuz. If you are crying and want to leave the campaign because you need to earn 30 USD to post here.. well, there are so many amazing users, which huge amount of knowledge posting here for free. Because this forum is an amazing place.

Farewell, Leo
I guess that paying more than one bitcoin every week for a signature campaign seemed a little off-the-budget. Still, though, $300 per week is a great income. Anyone leaving the campaign for such reason wouldn't make sense. I still cannot believe that for a certain time, ChipMixer participants were earning $25-30 per post. This is what most of the full members earn in the end of the week.

I remember counting the total bitcoins this campaign has given. It was around BTC178 and some satoshis. I wonder how many they've made... :roll_greedy_eyes:

There's actually no logic to leaving when there is that rule in place. It's not like you're going to be booted.

Just simply no reason.

Psst, Hhampuz, what was the payment that you said about that one signature campaign yesterday? Tongue

But seriously, it sucks that we now have less sats to stack every week, but it's still a privilege to be part of this campaign even with those rates and I'm sure we are all very grateful for that. Smiley
