BTW I LOVE the USD/Day estimate on rpc.pooljunkie.nl.  It's inspirational.

Switched to rpc.pooljunkie.nl until it's clear that my hashes aren't going to waste @ cryptotycoons.

I'm not 100% able to speak to this, but our pool doesn't have the issues you speak of. The chunky pool may very well have an issue, no?

Also, the last part is a bit of a cry wolf, IMO. Tone it down and try to actually help us progress the coin in the right direction.

I'm using Cryptotycoons and the last 20 or so blocks are showing 0 shares and "unknown" as the finder.

So it's not just chunky.

I don't know exaclty what to make out of chunky pools email nor what could cause this behaviour if true...

Cryptotycoons on the other hand seems to have a problem with the cronjobs(at least i saw the same behaviour(not counting shares and unkonw block finders) when cronjobs had problems or were not running at all) so i think everything will be fine as soon as their cronjobs are running again cause all your shares are stored in the database... (remember this is just an observation i'm not in charge of cryptotycoons nor do i have an account there...)

cheers

Thanks for the good info sir.

Ummm just received this email:

"If you're receiving this email, it's because you have signed up for the RonPaulCoin instance of Chunky Pools.

There is an issue with the RPC coin daemon which is causing the network to not accept our blocks. You should stop mining on the RPC port ASAP.

Again, this is an issue with the RPC coin daemon software. DOGE and EAC ports are working 100%.

-----------------------
More technical explanation:

We found a block according to stratum, and sent it to the coin daemon, and it was accepted by the coin daemon and broadcast:

2014-01-07 05:12:01,111 INFO template_registry # We found a block candidate! 000000000c0f4529aed8af40a8108de263efc51d46ba72da2e6934516416ffc2

This solution hash shows upstream_result = 'Y' which means that our whole stack believes we should have a block.

MariaDB [ron]> select * from shares where solution = '000000000c0f4529aed8af40a8108de263efc51d46ba72da2e6934516416ffc2';

However, our block was never added to the blockchain.

I looked through quite a few pools, and there is a number of them with abnormal (>1500%) shares submitted, and a couple without blocks found in days.

RPC is fucked."

What is wrong with this coin?

stratum reports:

NOTHING in MPOS.

Perhaps it's not good that one pool has 80% of the hash rate.

If you're mining on https://pool.chunky.ms/rpc/ -- you should go elsewhere until this problem is sorted out.

Is it possible for OP DEV to consider allowing faster mining of the coin to increase the coin supply quicker?

I know this is controversial, but the supply is limited as it is.....

The only thing we need faster is the retarget time  Cool

I agree with this, otherwise when the difficulty increases and 2/3s the hashrate leave. The rest of the miners are screwed for days

In theory: yes... but they would have to create a mandatory update and hard fork...
BUT i don't think it would be wise to do... even if not touching the max coin supply, it would just allow for the coin to be mined completly faster and a slow increasing supply of the coin will help gaining value.... if the coines are just mined faster, the price will stay lower until all coins are mined...

cheers

solo mining give me error: no servers can be used, exiting

any solution?  Huh

The odds of getting a block solo atm is about as good as getting one in BTC.

Best bet is join a pool.
