i have installed plugin and connected Trezor wallet to computer but don't start.
i see only
"Get started

Connect your TREZOR device to the computer."

Try different usb cable/usb port. The usb cables they send in the box are shit, but these are standard micro-usb so you may have one more at home.

This is the land of wolves now & you're not a wolf
Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, but I am confused on the whole pin thing.

For instance..  Here is what I did to start...

1) installed plug in
2) followed all instructions to set up
3) completed set up

Then I...

1) sent a small amount of BTC to the trezor web wallet (account 1)
2) sent a small amount of BTC out of the web wallet (just to make sure it works)

I was able to complete the above steps without any problems, but when I went to send the BTC, all I had to do was enter the pin that popped up on the screen of the trezor.

My question is...  wouldn't anyone be able to do this and send the BTC out of the wallet if I lost my trezor?

it wasnt your pin that popped up on the screen of the trezor. that was a unique 1 time use number pad to be used for entering your pin on the computer with out the risk of having it key logged.

But that was all i had to enter to confirm the outgoing transaction. So if someone came accross my trezor, they could just punch in the 1 time code that pops up, and send out the coins?

Are you saying that you just went from top left to bottom right on the little number pad that popped up on your computer screen with the ? marks and it allowed you to sign a transaction? It's astronomically unlikely that it would happen to order the numbers in the same order as your pin. Especually since the implication here is that you had a 9 digit pin. Maybe i can help you by explaining how its supposed to work.

When you set up your trezor it will ask you to enter a pin. Write down a pin that you want to use on a piece of paper. On the trezor will be numbers in a random order. it might look like this.

2 1 9
8 5 3
7 4 6

On your screen you will see this

? ? ?
? ? ?
? ? ?

say your pin was 659

You will press on the computer screen on the number pad with the question marks: bottom right, center, top right.

Now when you go to enter your pin later it will be a new set of random numbers on the trezor. lets say it looks like this

6 4 5
3 1 2
9 7 8

So this time on the computer screen on the number pad with the question marks you will enter: top left, top right, bottom left inorder to input the same pin as before.

I hope that cleared up all of the confusion.

Does that mean that i accidentally set my key to 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9?

It does.

You can change your pin from the home page. Its a button on the right side of the screen when you have the name of the device highlighted on the left side of the screen. (i just LOVE playing with this thing, thanks for giving me an excuse to plug it in again Cheesy)

Ok, i get it now...thanks again Smiley i appreciate it.

Yes that definitely clears up the confusion, thanks. But when i sent out the coins, all i did was enter in all nine digits that popped up on the keypad (as they appeared on the trezor). I did it in numerical order, and it worked. Does that mean that i accidentally set my key to 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9?

To spend coins you have to enter your PIN on a one time keyboard. There is no one time code. It is always your PIN, it just has different forms depending on keyboard layout. Thief who does not know your pin cannot spend your btc.

So if we were to lose/break the trezor, where would I go to enter the seed to recover the coins?

you go here if you already have a new trezor:

or you can use some other "trezor-compatible" wallet. today its wallet32 but more are on the way.

Which other wallet clients are you working on getting support for?   I don't really use any android devices Sad

also, when I first hooked up the trezor, nothing popped up to install the bridge (like the instructions said it would).

Is the "bridge"  the same thing as the plug in that you download from mytrezor.com?

For now yes, the real bridge isn't released yet

Thanks Bitpop...I thought something was going incorrectly for me.   So we don't need to backup any private keys or anything?   Just store the 24 word seed somewhere safe?

I wish there were more options as to where we can restore our coins if the trezor breaks or stops working..

Will there ever be a point where I won't have to download software for the mytrezor site to recognize it? My school doesn't allow installing third party apps on OSX

Probably not, it is the short answer.

Also can stick, slush or someone answer my open ticket, it has been quite a while now.

Just hooked up/set up my trezor.   I haven't sent any coins to it yet though.   I got stuck at the pin entering stage....seriously took me a minute to figure even that part out...(I am so bad at computer stuff)...

So if we were to lose/break the trezor, where would I go to enter the seed to recover the coins?
