I got a strange thing going on. Chrome asks me if the plugin is allowed to run, I let it run and the website tells me it's not installed. Bit weird.

I installed the plugin, but on both Firefox and Chrome it doesn't seem to work. I just get "Trezor Browser Plugin is not installed yet" on mytrezor.com.

I looked under the add-ons manager for Firefox and Bitcoin Trezor Plugin appears.

In Chrome, I don't see it under extensions.

It actually looks like the installation times out, but I'm not sure. I've tried restarting it with both Firefox and Chrome closed, and also uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting. No dice. It makes my default browser bring up the mytrezor.com page, but it still says "Trezor Browser Plugin is not installed yet".

Using Windows 7 with Chrome 33.0.1750.145 and Firefox 27.0.1.

Seriously: I know a lot of big investors who are standing on the sidelines waiting for a trezor to buy their first bitcoins...

Staff handling bitcoins must be a major worry for any Bitcoin company, particular the investors.  We all cant be security experts.  Hardware wallets like this at the upper end of the market, and low-cost devices like hardwarewallet.com is just what we need.  Cant wait until we get some real competition.

when Trezor starts selling at their webshop, I predict we see the start of a new rally.
We will call it "The Trezor Bubble" as it were Wink

We've decided to send some devices on Monday to few preorderists - well known community members - for developer preview. I believe they'll provide us valuable feedback as they'll be first real users of TREZOR.
did they get send out? I would have expected a review by now.
also, are there news concerning the trezor classic delay?

Would be awesome, but if everyone get metal, those who bought at 3 btc will be pissed off  Grin

Not if we just got 3 trezors instead  Grin

I think we have an agreement. Wink

joke aside: I'm really looking forwared to my trezor and will give the others I bought at half price to friends. What better gift to give than safety for peoples coins?

RUM AND CARROTS: A PIRATE LIFE FOR ME
I handled the metal version at the Amsterdam conference for a while (non working/software). Felt nice in the hand and didnt want to give it back!

Considering they seem to not be ready with the plastic cases, wish they would just satisfy the early plastic orders with metal ones instead.  Sad

+1 for second part. I think i ordered on first day. Wish i ordered a metal one...

I agree. I bought two after ordering nearly immediately. With all the delays, having commited at pre-$1000 BTC levels, it would be nice to see a little token of appreciation for early adopters in the form of a Metal upgrade.

Installation, once finished, tries to open https://mytrezor.com, but SSL on the site doesn't work yet. So that "timeout" is expected and will be fixed soon, once I'll deploy myTREZOR application to the domain.

Thanks for all reports, it seems that works well :-).
Good to hear and glad that I could help. Wink

Hello guys

my apologies to all who are waiting for updates. Those who follow our githubs can see the progress on the project, but I understand that lack of direct communication may worry some of you.

Current state of software: We're finalizing all parts of software.

1) Trezor really works. We're finalizing screens, dialogs and doing final code polishing.

2) Yesterday we finalized all unit tests (https://github.com/trezor/python-trezor/tree/master/tests) and firmware currently passes most of them; it's matter of days to pass 100% of them.

3) myTREZOR (https://github.com/trezor/webwallet) is also almost done and we're giving it just final UX touches. Fine-tuning of the browser plugin for all platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) was extremely painful because USB stack is bag of s...t, but we successfully passed all implementation problems.

4) Firmware is currently being reviewed by security experts, one of them being Nethemba. We plan to wait to results and fix reported problems before we'll ship.

Current state of hardware:

1) We have all Metallics ready to ship.

2) Production of cases for Classic is becoming a little painful for me. It turns out that once our producer solves one issue then he has to face another one. I am optimistic and believe that these are the labor pains and once overcome that everything will run smoothly, but it needs its time. Although I appreciate very much the input of our producer who went through the entire casing development and gave us a lot of useful expertise, we're now actively looking for a new production facility that could guarantee a seamless production of plastic cases.

What's next?

We've decided to send some devices on Monday to few preorderists - well known community members - for developer preview. I believe they'll provide us valuable feedback as they'll be first real users of TREZOR.

slush

Thanks for the update.
I can't wait to start reading the first reviews, if they are positive you'll have another customer  Smiley
