Can this thing store Scrypt coins?

There's no difference between SHA256/scrypt coins when it comes to private keys format, so technically this is not an issue. We have the infrastructure in TREZOR that is able to handle different coins, but in the beginning we'll support just a few. More might come later with the firmware upgrade.

Awesome, I'm planning to store a few hundred LTC and and few thousand DOGE's in their when I get enough money to buy one. Thanks for the fast reply! Cheesy

original owner can reload the seed to another device and send his coins out of compromised seed.

I apologize in advance for probable stupidity of my question, but if owner can reload the seed to another device, it means the seed (or it's copy) must be stored outside of the device. And since the seed can be used [with another device] to send coins out, how is it different from having private key itself stored outside of the device?

I don't think the device can take a new seed. You must sweep it using software.

Second, its like a paper wallet.

I thought to have cold storage wallets that can be loaded on for everyday spending, and to create said wallet seeds with the Trezor. I wasn't talking about new addresses from the same wallet

Is it possible to reset /wipe the device?

Yes, it is. This is especially useful if you want to pass your TREZOR device on to someone else. You can do so by wiping the device in the TREZOR Settings. By doing so, all sensitive user data will be erased. After that you can continue with a new Setup of the device (a completely new security key is generated and the old one is definitively lost) or you can restore it to previous setting with your paper backup.

does this mean we can use multiple wallet/seeds in just the one device? I mean as to keep more than one wallet backed up to seed for cold storage then wipe the device and load it with another for spending?

I guess that is possible, yes Smiley

but why would you do that? It is a deterministic wallet, so if you are worried about your privacy, you can  just create new adresses if needed Smiley

Is anyone going to be showing it off at the Miami conference this weekend?

The seed will only display on device. And I'm going to assume you can't load it on a new one. You'll use software to quickly sweep it to a new device.

The pin is typed that way:

Client displays:
OOO
OOO
OOO

trezor display (changes every time):
954
128
367

So no chance for keyloggers.

Will seed recovery work the same way? I noticed you have good resolution on the OLED, probably enough for 26 characters on 3 rows. Seems like it would be better than using hardware keyboard, as the seed is more sensitive than the PIN

what's the implementation status of trezor support in other wallets? I'm guessing multibit is still going to be implementing support?

Yes, they are working on it.

Don't get me wrong: it's great you guys have been making a web-based wallet, but in the long run, this is not the perfect solution due to privacy concerns, right?

Right. myTREZOR wallet is statically served HTML+JS, but it connects to transaction server, so basically the same privacy concerns as when using electrum-client + electrum-server.
