The Trezor is the best: The easiest way to get top security. The key to this is the simplicity of a device made for a single purpose, and the screen and input buttons. Go for it.

119$ is seriously too much for me Cheesy

My whole wallet has around 2BTC, if I withdraw all my investments it would be around 10
Paying half a bitcoin to guard only 2 is a bit too much Cheesy

Maybe in the future, I'd like to start with something cheaper

Yes, the PIN only protects the hardware on the device from being used without entering the PIN first. If you stop using the password and forget the PIN you can recover the coins from the seed. Then after removing the password protection send the coins back to the Trezor.

This is not true. You can remove the password option without moving the coins. When you put the password option on again, you can get your bitcoins back by using your old passwords.

There is no checksum in seed, any combination of words (of bip39 list) is just fine as long as they are truly random and not chosen by a human brain.

I think my brain is random enough.

Why not just print out the possible words, number them and select 24 of them by coin-flipping or using dice?

I am really worried, I did a trezor recovery this morning from the seed but this is still going on!

It appears as if your transaction was never broadcast to the bitcoin network. Install the new version of Electrum. It will work with your Trezor and works well. Just create a new hardware wallet and it will get the master public key from your Trezor and you will be good to go.

If there is some problem with the mytrezor.com website it is possible that the transaction maybe broadcast later so I would avoid double spending the coins for at least 12 hours to see if the transactions go through.

This is getting really weird, I cannot send any BTC from my trezor. I can receive but not send. I do get a txid like this,
