did you just release new firmware?

also, what's the correct way to eject Trezor from Mycelium android?  after verifying that Trezor works with Mycelium, now it no longer works with pc.  won't load after passphrase input.

it would be nice if Mycelium allowed use of a watching only Trezor wallet.

Encompass, the multi-coin Electrum fork, now supports BTC, LTC and DASH.  One interface, one wallet file, one click to swap between coins.  Encompass/Trezor also supports BTC and LTC (DASH support is awaiting official release of Trezor firmware 1.3.3 by SatoshiLabs).

Try it: https://github.com/mazaclub/encompass

does Mycelium give the option to input Trezor 24 word seeds for recovery?  the default Mycelium seed is 12 words.

And passphrase too?

Yes, it does. I already tested it and it worked.

I think my Trezor kicked the bucket. What would be the most secure and efficient way to use my recovery seed to restore the private keys?

A brand new Trezor!   Cool

..or a software wallet like:
https://github.com/bitcoin-solutions/multibit-hd - once they are done with private beta
https://mycelium.com/bitcoinwallet

But why would you downgrade to a software wallet?

PS:  There should be at least one year warranty on your Trezor (2 years in Europe).

You've tried with a different USB cable?  The factory supplied USB cable is renowned to fail on arrival or after a few weeks.

I will probably go the MultiBit route, thanks!
It works better with another cable, but it's still temperamental. I suppose I'll shoot an email to slush or his support team.

FYI the latest android mycelium wallet 2.3 supports Trezor via OTG cable. Exactly the same HD accounts myTrezor and Electrum+Trezor plugin. http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/30uavt/mycelium_wallet_android_23_is_out_trezor_support/

In love with my trezor.

I took the liberty to create a profile for Trezor on my bitcoin business directory - http://coinjungle.net/profile/trezor-open-source-bitcoin-hardware-wallet
I hope there is no no problem  Grin. Also you can create an account and claim the listing at any time and have the option to edit the profile or delete it.

Keep the good work

Hi guys, we just realized there's new site pretending to be trezor eshop. Stay away from it as it is 100% scam. The official site is buytrezor.com. Full announcement: http://satoshilabs.com/news/2015-03-25-scam-alert-website-pretending-to-be-trezor-eshop-official-eshop-is-buytrezor-com/

Hw1 and ledger are similar.

Ledger have better casing and a two factor card.

I would chose ledger because it's more resistant, but it's same smartcard chip as HW1.

I have two HW1, a BWallet and a Trezor. My favorite is Trezor because I can use it with Electrum 2.0 and the BWallet website is slow and buggy. HW1 is a very decent hardware solution for the price but Green Address, what one normally uses with HW1, is very sluggish but it works okay (no way to change fees, must accept what Green Address decided to charge). If you rent 30 GH/s of power from MRR for three days and mine on Slush you can get a Trezor for only $79.00 (bought two this way). If you buy a Trezor click link in my sig please. Trezor is what I use as my daily wallet.

I have used the hw.1 with electrum dev version before. I guess this means btchip sport didn't make it into the release after all? (Sorry for ot)

Want privacy? Use Monero!
Hey guys, I'm thinking about buying some hardware wallets

I'm wondering which should I buy?

Trezor seems the best, however it costs 119$ (which is too expensive for me), I'm thinking about the ledger wallet or HW.1, I'v also heard about bwallet (it's on the bitcoin.it/wiki/hardware_wallet), seems the same as Trezor and only costs 28$, but I fail to find any information about it

Ledger seems as my most probable choice so far

How safe is HW.1?

What do you guys think would be the best?  Smiley

The Trezor is the best: The easiest way to get top security. The key to this is the simplicity of a device made for a single purpose, and the screen and input buttons. Go for it.

119$ is seriously too much for me Cheesy
My whole wallet has around 2BTC, if I withdraw all my investments it would be around 10
Paying half a bitcoin to guard only 2 is a bit too much Cheesy

Maybe in the future, I'd like to start with something cheaper Smiley

that means you have not enough bitcoins Wink buy some, they are cheap Smiley

anyway, I always recommand a Trezor if the total balance that need to be secured is at least 10 times the price of the device. Otherwise it's indeed not worth it.

For that amount of bitcoin I don't think a Trezor would be worth it. You might want to just keep the majority of your funds on a BIP38 paper wallet, and then keep a small portion in a hotwallet (something like Electrum would be perfect for that) for small spending whenever you feel the need. If you reach 5 BTC or so, I think a Trezor would be more justifiable.
