Maybe guys you haven't noticed it yet, I've just seen that the ESL One Birmingham open Qualifiers are happening right now. While the main event is far from the date now, they're setting these qualifiers.
I haven't watched any of the recent open qualifiers, but i'll check on it once the closed qualifiers start next week.
It's going to be a long tournament although the first phase is done, the open qualifiers #1. Now, we're heading to open qualifiers #2.

We've got some team announcements earlier today.

The L1ga team with Ramzes probably didn't work out that's why Kiyotaka moved back, and Nigma Galaxy now has a better lineup. If it works, they could maybe take over PSG.Quest in the second spot and give Team Falcons a competition.
As we're just talking about the first removal from Nigma.Galaxy, there goes the two new additions for another qualifier. They're not going to do good if they keep on changing roster and I think that they're aware of that when they will be just with these players for a very short period of time.

Good to see kiyotaka back on 9Pandas. And for Raven, I think that there will be a lot of opportunities that will be open for him but isn't he playing other roles in the pubs lately?

Imperial went 2:0 when it looked they were going to lose the first map of the match going 2-7 then when I checked the score 15 minutes later, they were up 9-7.
Dominance was theirs in this group stage qualifiers.

The Blast Premier matches have already started for these Spring Groups 2024 with an early start time.
G2 along with Nexa & Niko had just destroyed Ninjas in Pyjamas 13-2 on the last maps for these bo3 matches.

Next up for the start of day 1 in Blast:
Navi vs Complexity
Vitality vs OG
Astralis vs Falcons

Usually if it's with captaining, what I have noticed with pro players. They like to be captained but as for another captain to secondary captain, there's the beef starts for one having ego of not being commanded.
With Kuroky that's probably the last thing to happen when he seems to be the guy that would easily de-escalate those heated situations.
While I admire about him with his attitude based on the interviews from his teammates and former teammates, he's got one good getting along with other people.

The main event will happen obviously in Birmingham at the Resorts World Arena on April 22-28. Still a few more months before we get to see another major.

Now, I don't think Daxak had a great run with Quest at all because this team is focused on pushing hard from first minutes , not playing for farm and late game and I think they made a right call by giving up on Daxak who I'm sure will find a team to coach soon.
It took them a while to officially announce his departure and one or two of the players could also leave because that's what he mentioned in his telegram post(reddit thread).

Who is agreeing with me that Kuroky needs to retire? Just look, after rebuilding the roster of Nigma Galaxy and falling short to the qualifiers for the Dreamleague in Mena region. Ghost and RMN have departed ways with the team. I know that it's just like a part time contract for the two but Kuroky needs to give that spot of his to someone else who's better and has more quick and active reflexes.
As much as I agree, he probably won't step down since he has the power to do what he wants for the team, but I hope they've already found a decent replacement for the next qualifiers.
He owns the team so basically, he'll just do whatever he want. He's like the Dendi but support version, I have nothing against them but it's acceptable that they've got their own prime and for Kuro, he's past that.

Better no matter how the cores are yet he's still there as their lackluster, that's like a 4v5 matches at most times.

They don't have to find a support player with good reflexes when those are better for the core roles. IMO, they need a support player who can influence the team as a whole and maybe become the secondary captain for the team to help Kuroky fix their long-time problems.

But no one's gonna grow with that attitude and last long on these teams.

It seems that PSG.Quest do have an update on their roster and the following message was posted :

"Today, we bid farewell to @DaxakDota2. Your wisdom in DOTA2 will be missed. Wishing you all the best on your future journey!"

No one is talking about the Dota 2/Valve's massive ban wave for the smurf accounts including the pro players. This is honestly a satisfying move by Valve with their VAC system.

I don't enjoy the game when there are 2-3 players that seem not to be in the low rank and then it's obvious that they're boosting a player with their party.

So, read all the details about this news and many pro players was included with their smurfs on this massive ban.

Previously pro players were immune to bans and i think this is a great move to show a change in attitude towards no exeptions for smurfing n toxicity
Yeah, they were immune to it because Valve considers them and given them some chance. But this time, it's just best for them to get that VAC and purged all of their smurf accounts.

It's actually destroying the play of other players that are trying to grind on the pubs while them, they are easily going up to the ranks with the smurf that they have.

They're pro and they should understand that.

We're going to keep on seeing this news even if the team gets new players to fill the remaining spots if Kuroky is still part of it. He can move to coaching honestly. He's not the same as Puppey and ceb and he should check what n0tail did after failing with tournaments.

Big vs Nexus for a chance at Major and I must admit Nexus is from my country and more than this they own the biggest net caffe in Romania so no wonder why they finally managed to get a great team and enter strong into esports scene. That's why , I'm not gonna fade them here and I will bet on Nexus to win.

For you guys who have been watching DOTA2 & League game play today,
I just noticed the IEM Chengdu Closed qualifiers in China are just starting and they have a match between MiBR vs 9z.
The match can be viewed here live from their official CounterStrike youtube channel:

Not really a fan of cs2 recently but its going to be a while before I get something good on dota2 so yeah this will do I guess. Anyway this new season with new rules from Valve totally sucks because there is alot of gap in between these huge dota2 tournaments. iirc last year, those gap were literally filled with online tournaments so there wasnt any long breaks like this season

Its going to be around 2 more weeks before we get to BetBoom Dacha tournament
Not an issue one bit as everybody can love what they want and if CS2 isn't your bag then like DOTA2 when their tournaments arise.

Placed a rather large acca yesterday on those PGL Spring 2024 matches and didn't realize they were bo1 until it was too late.
Team Spirit broke it as all the others were winners.
I also feel MR12 map format is way too short after that loss now. Will be waiting for the next round of bo3 the next time I place a wager on source 2.

The DPC schedule was nice back then since it was spread out throughout the month. The substitute we have now is DreamLeague and the qualifiers, which isn't as long, but we'll take every top-tier match we can get.

At least for me, the gap opens up more time to keep up with the other competitive scenes like League and Valorant.  Wink

I'm currently watching DotA 2 DreamLeague Season 22 Southeast Asia Closed Qualifier. It's a surprise that Team Darleng made it to the CQ Finals. I honestly didn't expect this, considering the team Darleng players origins are being kicked. Also, they don't have a boot camp compared to most of their opponents. I was expecting Blacklist International to win this CQ.

Game 5 now for Finals CQ. Hoping for Team Darleng to win this series. This match will be totally upset if they win this series. GL all.
I've watched the match, the last 2 maps were too terrible for Team Darleng. It was a total disaster on them when they're just 1 win away and able to 2-1 the entire series. Map 4 was a choke on them and they were outdrafted and the same goes for the map 5. I thought that they're going to win with the map 5 but it's totally far and can't be considered a close game.

The game was one sided and Aurora really deserved the win and the slot for the main event of this season's Dream League. So from 2-1, it became a sweep of 2-3 done by Aurora. It's still experience that paid off for the Aurora and they know how to control their map and made a lot of good calls for back ups protecting their core.

Whilst for the Team Darleng, they've made a lot of bad decisions and with those few small bad decisions, Aurora managed to capitalized them and used it against them. Well, it was still a good run for Team Darleng when this Kuku stack team have made it far and I guess that we're going to see another team that's going to be taken by their sponsor.
