I think we were all expecting the same outcome with Aurora Gaming; we thought Team Zero was going to come back in that series against Aurora if you're watching that time. Well, Team Liquid and Team Spirit are really strong teams, not gonna lie but Team Zero is quite different from them. That's why it wasn't surprising that Aurora Gaming managed to go against Team Zero. The odds were reasonable, giving us a hint that the game would be unpredictable. Anyway, right now, I'm watching Nouns vs. Team Spirit, and it looks like Team Spirit is going to the lower bracket.

Falcons against beastcoast is one sided.
That's what we thought, but Team Falcons shot themselves in the foot with the flex draft in the first map by putting Windranger in the support role and went with Troll as their carry.

They almost recovered in that one team fight in the late game, but the draft gap started to show when they were kiting the Troll and had to commit heavily on the Kunkka.

Yeah, no doubt about that.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words.  Wink

Mate, you should be the first one to cast bets here so I can copy yours.  Tongue

I can totally ensure you that when it comes to dota2 betting, ralle is pretty much one of the best around here  Smiley
Yeah, no doubt about that.

The odds might not be that high but its better than losing obviously
My betting style is just like random. Sometimes I'd look at those odds that are good and if I think that the underdog can do such twists, I'd bet on them. Well, that's how I gamble and not really sometimes but at most times with the excitement.

So what we will get for tomorrow? @ralle14

Falcons and Team Spirit -1.5? I think both these two will win for sure and secure the top bracket
Falcons against beastcoast is one sided. And Team Spirit against nouns is the same. But then, there could be some come backs and good luck to the remaining seeder match later on.

The third map of their series was a banger, but the loss stings a bit when Team Zero overextended during that gg push in the late game.

Those two favorites to sweep the series is a solid play @1.89, beastcoast already went 0-6 in the groups and isn't the same squad that can put pressure on good teams.

Nouns have a bit of a threat after they took a map off Team Falcons and Team Zero, but I still think it's too much of a task against Team Spirit.

This freaking bet made me mad lol. I should have gone for over 2.5 maps on Team Zero - Aurora

and as we proceed, I've got some bets on it. Hopefully this time, I'll get more wins. I want to add more bets but the odds for me doesn't make sense for those almost sure win teams.
I got Team Liquid too, I think they're well priced at 1.40~ and i've added Xtreme Gaming to sweep Talon Esports, considering they lost 2-0 to G2.IG makes me think they'll sweep Talon too.
Congrats to us, Team Liquid won 2-1 against BetBoom. And if you're able to add XG against Talon, you're also right there with a 2-0. Mate, you should be the first one to cast bets here so I can copy yours.  Tongue

BOL on your two tickets for today, I might live bet on Team Zero if my parlay lands. I'm not confident enough to back the underdogs except for Aurora, but even then I still assume they're going to lose if they keep playing at the same rate as they did during the groups.
This is going to be a long seeding decider phase, the third match for today is with C9 and 1w Team, first map goes to C9. To be honest, I just pushed this bet with Team Zero against Aurora as the other odds that I am looking at for match winners doesn't give me that courage to bet on. I don't want to bet on the other bets except match winner as of the moment.

Im assuming that they will hence I bet on Team Zero

No stupid risky bet for the day, just straight winners bet for these two games. I was about to add Falcons -1.5 but the odds was horrible. The bookies kept on giving horrible odds for Falcons despite how bad they were in the initial group stage. I kinda missed the old days when we could rake decent odds around 1.7-1.9 back then with Falcons

I've got 1-2 yesterday, much better.  Tongue

I checked the hero statistics on the first day of the groupstage and I was surprised that Sniper was the most picked hero with only 30% win rate. For sure, on day two of the groupstage his pick rate will decrease now that this is the outcome of picking Sniper.
Sniper is on the meta, that's why it's always been picked but on this TI, you can't really know if the meta will work for some heroes as these teams have got a bunch of analysts on their backs to counter pick or have some good plays against any meta hero.

It’s been about half a year since I last played Dota 2, so I was also surprised that Windranger is now POS1 and it’s effective because her win rate is high.
Quite surprising if you've been gone away for a while and, you missed another meta and that's the tinker support.  Grin

We're now at the Seeding Decider.

Here's the final standing of Group Stage Phase One final standings and the Phase 2 playoffs seeing deciders.

Xtreme Gaming vs Talon and Team Spirit vs Nouns games seem easy matches for these undefeated teams but who knows, they could win so bettors can make some money with small bets only.

I will start to deposit some funds and will be ready to bet once the playoffs start, I can't wait for the playoffs bracket.

I think GG to win and C9 +1.5 for tomorrow would be a decent bet.

Well that was dumb from GG to but atleast I got my bet on C9+1.5. I guess there is no point for G to go all out as they have secured the top 2 already

Actually I just noticed that this group stage was meaningless because the group stage is just for seeding decider so none will get eliminated. I feel that some teams are still keeping their strat in this round. Next round would be alot more interesting as the teams are going to go all out to secure the top bracket.

Everyone, here are the Day 1 standings for the group stage - phase one for TI13.
I'm not surprised with Xtreme Gaming having 2 wins immediately, I am really hoping for Ame to get the aegis of immortal this time.
I will start betting in the playoffs which will start on September 6.

How about you guys? Which team are you supporting?
Many are cheering for Ame to win this TI, he's the uncrowned king as they say. I've got 0-2 yesterday.

Today, I've got three bets and since I wasn't lucky with the draw bets then I'd take the match winners for these bets of mine. Crossing my fingers to at least get a win or two today.

BTW, it seems that the prize allocation is decreasing every season, unlike The International in the past with its very large prizes.  Undecided

T11 was the start of such change. Also, Valve atill keeps a huge part of the battle pass proceeds hence, the low numbers year on year paired with the lackluster sales due to the rewards not being that worth it anymore. The last good battle pass IMO was TI8, with the succeeding ones just getting lamer and lamer.

Eventually, if sales on BP keeps pushing new lows, Valve will only settle on a fixed amount on prize pool. Hopefully this will not happen, but the direction that Dota is heading in terms of exposure is not that good.

Honestly speaking, Tundra has slim chance to win though. If I had to pick my top three to win TI then it would be GG, Team Falcons and Team Spirit. Honorable mentions would be Betboom and Team Liquid on the 4th place.
True, there are too many tier one teams who could easily push them to elimination.

My top teams to win TI are also the same and i'll include Xtreme Gaming with the fourth place group, even though they took out Team Spirit in the Snow Ruyi tournament I still think they'll disappoint once they meet the other top teams.

As expected from our choice. Team Spirit, Team Liquid and XG managed to secure 2 wins today meanwhile Team Falcons got 2 draws. Kinda surprising actually that XG managed to win against GG

I was watching most of the games today and not a single bet was made lol. I think GG to win and C9 +1.5 for tomorrow would be a decent bet. GG needs to win if they want to face 3rd and 4th place while C9 should be able to get atleast 1 map against Tundra if they could win 2-0 against G2.IG

It's mainly because the battle pass now barely has good rewards unlike the previous ones, and Valve probably got encouraged to make the change after the big decrease in TI11.
It seems that what @passwordnow said is true; perhaps the hype around Dota 2 has diminished and the interest in this game is also declining. This may also affect the allocation of TI prizes, which are decreasing as well.
But I am still hopeful that someday many will come back and will play the game and support it with this cause if they want to see TIs with higher prize pools again. And by doing that, Valve need to step up, I remember like winter events and other game types did really brought back a lot of players.

I have already some bets. But as for the TI winner, I don't have that yet. I don't know if I'll bet on that but as the tournament goes, I'll have some bets on the side for sure even on these best of 2 series'. Here's my bet that I've done yesterday, still thinking if I'll add for the day 1 or this might be it.
Your betting choices are very good. The 2 matches you selected have a great chance of ending in a draw, even though GG and TL are favored, but 1win and Aurora should not be underestimated; they can always deliver surprises.
That's what I did and sadly, both of them lost. I thought that there will be some draws on the matches I've picked but no, 2-0 for both games and the other games that I didn't chose that I was interested in were the ones that got a draw but it's okay, I'll do better tomorrow.

There are 15 matches, but I only chose a few of the first matches. TBH, I'm a bit unsure about this choice. I need at least 2 bets to learn the playing style of all the teams in this TI.
I can't bet with all of the matches but I want to. I am still testing to see if there will be some good choices tomorrow. We have an idea on the teams that are good enough but we can't belittle the other teams as well.

There was a CS2 competition recently finished which was BetBoom Dacha Belgrade. I got really excited to see EF reaching the finale but they lost hard vs Spirit like 3-0.  Sad

Now we have ESL Pro League Season 20 started already. I hope we can do better things. As an EF fan, it feels different to have a draw against another Turkish team Sangal Esports in the upper bracket.

The odds are like 1.48 for EF win and 2.50 for Sangal win. A single bet doesn't look worth for only 1.48 but I'm confident we will be victorious.  Cool

Back here to see the predictions for Dota 2 TI13. In TI12, TS was the winner, and in TI11, Tundra managed to defeat Team Secret. So, can both teams achieve success again this season?
@passwordnow, do you already have predictions for the TI match?

I have already some bets. But as for the TI winner, I don't have that yet. I don't know if I'll bet on that but as the tournament goes, I'll have some bets on the side for sure even on these best of 2 series'. Yeah, that's expected. I'm comparing it with the hype of what's happening in the market. We've got some peaks and drops and so the trend has come down for TI. But aside from the prize pool, the participants here are for their glory and that honor and title if ever they win the TI's aegis.

Yeah, there's one and that's 9class. It should be his first The International but because of the visa issue, he's got replaced by saksa who's also a former Tundra. For saksa, this is a blessing in disguise but of course this is bad for 9Class. Is it because 9class is a russian although he's got russian teammates but pure and ramzes have their international flights and tournaments already long time ago.

-snip

I was not aware of this

Honestly speaking, Tundra has slim chance to win though. If I had to pick my top three to win TI then it would be GG, Team Falcons and Team Spirit. Honorable mentions would be Betboom and Team Liquid on the 4th place. Rather than watching Topson win his 3rd TI, I'd rather watch team Spirit lift another trophy though. Most of the players in Team Spirit has stayed together since their first TI so yeah its kinda sentimental compared to Topson
I couldn't agree more with that. With what I've noticed with Team Spirit, they really are becoming different every important tournaments like this. As for GG and Team Falcons, I think that they're on the same level right now. Last year was supposedly GG's year but they fell on TI. This year, it's Team Falcon's year and let's see if they'd fall the same but may the best team win. I'll just enjoy these matches and no one is going to drop and type that gg too easy for every match.
