No comment, Boom is a strong team but they are just lack of ways to close the game because they always become lousy during late game especially FBZ and there carry Jacky. This 2 players do important move and they are the reason why they keep winning and losing at the same time due to poor decision making. Boom is strong early to mid game because there mid and supports are really good to baby sit there cores but they always fail on setups and closing the game in late game since they always have a very bad late game strategy as always. They should practice more often on playing late game and train FBZ to have a better decision making on crucial clash.
BOOM Esports is currently 1-3 and they still have one match left against RNG. Guys, have you seen the bracket B as of the moment? Although the day hasn't ended yet but looking at the standing of the teams there.

They're all 1-1.

Well, this is just for now but later will be changed as the games are still on going.

And for the first day, if there are some fans out there that are underestimating other teams, look at Hokori.

ESL Challenger is going on at full speed.

So far MOUZ and ENCE have made solid starts by 2 wins. We are just waiting for the second teams of the groups to be determined by the matches today. There is already a match going on between Eternal Fire and Nixuh. This is an important matchup for both sides as the loser is eliminated in the tournament immediately. The first map was Inferno and Eternal Fire had a really big difficulty in defeating Nixuh by 19-17 there. Actually there is a big power gap between these teams but mental issues still exist for Eternal Fire players. It was another match that XANTARES had a big role in getting the win.

Now we are on Vertigo and they have started great by a 6-0 score. Actually they captured a similar advantage in mid-game on Inferno but let it slip through their fingers easily. I don't expect the same thing to happen this time. In case they win this series, their most important matchup is going to be against Movistar Riders. The winner of that is going to qualify for the semi-finals.

Called it last minute. OG @ -0.5 is a gem. True, BOOM Esports is one hell of a team but I haven't really watched them win a long, dragged-out fight. That Naga farming so fast whilst his teammates were being battered by the snowball from BOOM seemed like game 2 was over, but all they needed was a good song and a good pick off and they just win the game. 15k net worth transfer in just one fight. OG is DISCIPLINED this starting game especially Ammar who never got caught loads of times by getting greedy on the map.
Boom dominated at early games of the first two games against OG but, they don't know how to end the game when they've got all the items. Or should I say that they can't end the game even if they're leading and can potentially end it? OG is just too strong and knows how to defend itself and then turn the tables. Well, I can just say that good game and we're just at the first day and there are more games to come. I'm currently watching the 2nd game of Team Spirit and Fnatic.

Looking at BetBoom +1.5, Boom +1.5 and draw in Team Liquid - RNG match from thise early starts.
I'm leaning the other way around for both Boom teams but I do like the draw on Team Liquid as I think they'll at least take a map against RNG since they took down XG and VG in the LCQ.

For now, I might go with LGD 2-0 @1.56 against EG and Aster 2-0 @2.9 against Tundra.

Also, Stake is offering an insurance promo for TI but I think it's only for map betting since there's no other winner market aside from the maps.

I am sure LGD is strong against EG but I am not comfortable betting a sweep in group stages. I would like to give a benefit of a doubt for EG against LGD. In group stages, I am leaning more on a split map rather than a sweep.

I am wondering if LGD will change their strategy this year. Instead of going full force on every match, they would lay back a bit and just secure an upper bracket slot. Going full force on every match even on early stages did not went well against them in previous tournaments. They are getting figured out because they do not reserve strats for the later stages and especially for the finals.

Aster vs Tundra, I think tundra will this one. Will go for a split and if there are handicaps, will take that action as well.

Aster 2-0 @2.9 against Tundra.

This is a pretty bold bet though considering that Tundra is actually better than most teams out there that would lose 2-0 to China region's team.

Alright boys, lets enjoy this TI. Starting the TI with my usual silly parlay and hoping that I would nail it. Might be betting some other games along the way but lets start with this

Took PSG.LGD to win against Hokori, EG to win against Soniqs, Team Liquid to win against RNG and Team Secret to win against TA

imoRR's IGL is terrible.
imoRR's IGL what did we expect anyway. Maj3r used to be an IGL player for years. They used to criticize him because he couldn't shoot much in the past. Recently he was good in EF, but there were different problems. But I don't know so he didn't look good in the Xfloud Movie Riders match, he played 47.4 adr. The structure of the team is broken due to constant player changes. I told before, this team is won't take long. Since they cannot defeat the opponents that they can easily win in this way, dissatisfaction and toxicity will increase within the team.

Eternal Fire team are just finished now.

I watched their match against Movistar Riders in ESL Challenger Rotterdam today. The map was Overpass which Eternal Fire were much more experienced on. However their performance was just horrible. I remember the score as 13-1 at one point in the match. There was no proper team effort once again. In one round, they couldn't even reach the bombsite in time and lost the round. imoRR's IGL is terrible. It was one of the things I made sure of. Apart from that, the players seemed very preoccupied. It looks like they are still in a very poor mental condition.

If they don't manage to improve their performance by the coming matches then they should just disband. They can't go on like this. Movistar Riders were a team that they could have beaten easily.

BetBoom always loses one map ,so good choice on that and Liquid looks shaky ,so it's hard to tell if they will be on form or not. My picks would be Secret 2-0 against Thunder , Tundra +1.5 and EG win 2-0 but I still wait to see the drafts before I do bet anything. However, I must sleep way more earlier than usual as I don't want to miss opening day of TI. Grin

It is finally here, T1 starts tonight for me and it is time to take some money away from the bookies.

As usual I will probably target underdogs in the beginning and then shift my focus more towards favorits as the competition is coming to an end.

Looking at BetBoom +1.5, Boom +1.5 and draw in Team Liquid - RNG match from thise early starts.

I like the BetBoom option, full confidence on their roster plus their recent pubs are so cool to see, especially the Visage offlane from Notice. Team Liquid - RNG, I would just bet per map on first bloods and f10k. RNG is highly unpredictable, and we may even pick their on-point version for this matchup and that's what most bettors don't want to see since a lot are heavily leaning on Team Liquid to win.

At the same they we are now struggling with the price pool of Ti11 it is not get half with the previous event of ti10 and that why they release immediately the battle pass promo and it is more affordable than the previous year.

Currently, the prize pool is still sitting at USD15 Million. Though a lot smaller than last year, it is still very lucrative compared to other e-sports. Last year was the biggest prize pool. That could have been because we did not have a TI before that, and players are excited. And this year, they split the battle pass and plan to release the second half later. I do not know if DOTA fans are upset or they are saving up for the second battle pass, but it did affect the prize pool for this year.

$15 million is still a lot. Since Dota2 only have 1 big event for the whole year, this is balanced out compared to other esports like CSGO which have a lot of both big and small events throughout the year. Still, CSGO's players are more... I don't know how to say it, more high profile? They can get a lot of sponsor deals and advertising deals, gaming gear and such while the only source of income for Dota2 players is from TI's prize pool. Yep, it kind of balances out. Tho, the downside is this also makes Dota2 dependent on TI and Valve's support of the event. While CSGO is more open and community-driven, Valve can pull its plug anytime and CSGO or CS in general still keeps going.

So this is it, ladies and gentlemen, the groupings are here. OG and LGD are in the same group A while Team Spirit and Entity are in group B.

OG, PSG.LGD, Boom Esport, EG and Betboom are the powerhouse and top team of each respective regions. Its going to be a tough matchup on this group and not to mention that we have RNG and Team Liquid to spice things up on this group as well. Thats it though, I probably going to watch only group A I think lol, its going to be super tense starting from day 1

You should never forget the defending champion. They are still complete so you can expect the same intensity coming from them. Team Spirit will still give the teams that you mentioned a good fight.

Team Spirit is my pick 1 if I have to rank them in a specific order. Team Spirit struggled this season but they bounced back and made a strong comeback just as TI is approaching which is perfect timing. Team Spirit made it second at the highly prized Riyadh Masters after losing to LGD. But they came up on top at the last major beating LGD. Team Spirit has the momentum and they are in great condition for this TI. Team Spirit is not the best team in a group stage but they are at a different level when it comes to the knockout stages.

One more day before TI officially starts.

Agree, Team Spirit these days is no joke. They keeping there title as dark horse same as last year. They are not good on the early tournaments but they started to dominate the Dota2 scene on tournament near TI and have an impressive run on the TI playoffs. So far they are the most consistent team that can rival LGD in many tournaments. It’s either LGD or TS for me because they still dominate other team even OG.

Are we going to witness a Cinderella story here in TI 2022? Will team Secret be good enough to snatch the Championship from heavily favored teams?
I wouldn't mind a cinderella story but I honestly want to see a favored team like LGD claim the aegis this time. For Team Secret there's always a chance to win but it'll mainly depend on the matchups they get during the playoffs, For now, I see them finishing around the middle at best (maybe 5th-8th) since there are too many good teams from my view that can easily take down Team Secret later on(OG, LGD, Entity, Tundra, Aster).

Team Secret is of course a TI team but probably not a TI winner team, not even a TI finalist team. So it's not surprising if they wouldn't reach the finals once again this time around.

LGD of course has always been a strong contender for the Aegis for the past recent TIs. If not a finalist, they are settling for the third spot. If Team Secret would be matched against LGD in the early elimination rounds, Team Secret would probably fall to the lower bracket early in the event.

This time around, TI is going to go full in October and Secret it's well known for having great games in October so no wonder why they went without defeat in Last chance qualifiers and to be honest , we didn't saw the strong drafts of Puppey because there were no need of them. However, tomorrow morning , EG should show us if they really trained hard or it's just the old EG style...

This time there's a lot of people wondering if the LGD can make their third attempt for the aegis of the immortal, Puppy have a really good team but most of the time the only they can take is at the top 4 they cant even catch up in the grand finals we know how Team secret really work hard to be part of the Ti11 continuously, and also we know the possible will go to the grand final here, LGD, OG, Team Spirit these teams already secured because of the skills they have still looking forward to the SEA region teams to be part of the top 5.

What is going on in group B ? so many great teams will fight for top 4 but also , I do expect top tier dota in that group as group A looks not so balanced and tight but plenty of great teams there as well.

What favorites do you have guys ?
Group B does seem stacked compared to Group A since a lot of teams in Group A weren't able to perform well and a few of them slowly lost their firepower at the end of the season like the Gaimin Gladiators and BetBoom.

I don't have any clear favorites as of now but here are the teams i'm expecting to reach the top 4, in Group A BOOM, LGD, Liquid, and OG then for Group B Entity, Aster, Spirit, and Fnatic.   Grin

What favorites do you have guys ? Especially after what we saw in Last chance qualifiers yesterday. I would still chose EG because I've always been a fan of them and on 2nd place , it must be Secret as no wonder why they have the nickname Secretober....because they don't lose in October.
I'm with the crowd shouting and cheering for PSG.LGD taking the aegis for this year. But it's interesting to see new faces on this year's TI.

Whoever takes the aegis for this year, they'll gain much respect from everyone not just from the fans but also from the fans that they'll beat.

Prize pool is lower than last year and the others and that's because of the pandemic and everyone has grown up thinking that it's a waste of money to spend on games.  Cheesy
I dont believe that it was because of the pandemic. You could really see the influx of funds or the one who had bought bp when it opened and then suddenly slows down.
Why? because the treasures and other perks is never been worth or something boring compared into previous TI's where BP purchase is worth basing up on the items
and treasures that you could get which is something that you couldnt see today. There's a part 2 of it though and lets see if they would be applying something interesting
for the prize pool to shoot up even more.Main event is fast approaching and everyone is really excited for that.
