Astralis - Eternal Fire is going on with the second map, Overpass.

The first map was a disaster for Eternal Fire. Dust2 was one of their most performing maps actually and they showed it by a great start too. The team had a good system and the score was even 9-3 to their advantage at some point. However they started to make the same mistake they made against ENCE. Astralis suddenly started to collect themselves due to the mistakes of their opponent and made a great comeback. The result was 16-14.

Eternal Fire made a good start on Overpass by bringing the score to 5-0 but they are still making the same mistakes which caused them to lose 2 rounds right after that. It is still difficult to believe in such team to win truthfully. Despite Astralis' bad form it feels like they will win anyway.

I'm thinking of making a betslip full of these choices:

- Heroic win @1.12
- BIG win @1.21
- Eternal Fire win @2.05
- Vitality win @1.15
Your first guess was successful. Vitality won an easy win against Tyloo as predicted. Now the Astralis vs Eternal Fire match has started. Map selections chose EF dust 2, while Astralis chose Overpass. Decider map was selected as Nuke. I didn't take the risk and put Astralis forward for the bet. It had odds of 1.65. The last IGL change for EF has not been fully efficient for now, but it may be in the future, but for now, I think it is not fully efficient. We're talking about an IMorr that B rush the Mirage map 3 times, IGL meister  Grin

Anyways, Team Spirit the defending champion is in a life and death bo1 situation. SEA teams play like there is no tomorrow when they are matched with top teams. Cheesy

I do believe that Team Spirit will not be knocked out of the competition this early. They were knocked out to the bottom bracket last year as well in the first round of the upper bracket matches but they persevere, made it to the finals, and beat LGD. They are taking it one step further though this year. They are starting at the very bottom, BO1 elimination with Boom Esports. Boom showed resilience in the group matches and was able to snatch the last slot of the bottom bracket, but I think their journey will end this time against Team Spirit. Due to a large hero pool of Team Spirit, Boom will have a hard time figuring them out. And in a BO1 situation, that is very scary.

I do agree with you but sometimes Boom can give an upset match result even on top teams just like what they did on gamers galaxy before with this same lineup. I do sense the weakness of Team Spirit this time compared last year they are on UB even though they knock out early to LB but still it means that they show a good performance on group stage unlike this current TI that they start very weak even on group stage. This will be a history for TS if they manage to do this impossible lower bracket run on this TI.

I will bet on Boom this time just to support fellow Filipino. This will not gonna be an easy fight for TS so I will take my chance to bet on Boom with high odds using small money.  Cheesy

I think RNG they will have to concede the tournament in case they go deep in tournament as I doubt they will hit the main stage with the problems they are currently have.

After the performance they had after they learned they had covid, I also doubt they will reach the main stage. They might not even get out of the BO1 matches. But we still cannot be certain about this. They can still surprise us, considering they are a good team.

- Heroic win @1.12
- BIG win @1.21
- Eternal Fire win @2.05
- Vitality win @1.15

Heroic, BIG and Vitality all have comfortable matches honestly. Their opponents respectively are ECSTATIC, Sangal and TYLOO which are not that much tough to beat for these teams. Sangal are actually a powerful team recently. Because they have made a big progress in last two months by increasing their rank from 86th to 34th. However they still can't beat top tier teams. They lost to BIG around two weeks ago also by an embarrassing score like 16-3 also. I think that BIG would get past them anyway even if Sangal win one map.

Eternal Fire is the most risky choice obviously but I wanted to act with my feelings this time and try my luck. As I said before, I still have hope about their win against Astralis. Because Astralis are not much different than Eternal Fire these days. There is a significant decrease in Astralis' performance.

There is no DOTA today, so RNG has a day to rest, heal up and regroup. I hope they can recover quickly so they can be back at their top form for the main stage.

I wonder what happens next to RNG. I believe they will remain quarantined for 2 weeks minimum. Are there sanctions for them in this tournament or there are future sanctions? People brought tickets already for these coming Playoffs and The Finals for these teams to play in person. We feel sorry for the players but the team did something wrong and needs to get penalized. The hotel they are staying at will probably close for a while, the airport staffs and the other places they went into like restaurants are pretty sure worried. Imagine if they reach the finals or even win the aegis and they're not present at the stadium.

Spirit ...man ...this team can win against everyone but they can also lose against everyone. They will have a strategy to hit main stage but we saw how they perform against other great teams and I'm not a fan of them this year.

Tomorrow should set things straight regarding games but also quarantine program for RNG.

I will go for over 2.5 maps and Handicap Thunder +1.5. I am not expecting a sweep in upper bracket but I might be wrong as well. Good luck with your bet.

I was actually thinking about taking over 2.5 maps on all upper bracket games as well. I think there is a good chance that atleast 3 out of 4 games in the upper bracket might ended up with over 2.5 maps. If a team still holds on their hidden strat or whatsoever then this is pretty much the time to use them so good chances that all of those games might ended up pretty intense

Anyway I took EG to win -1.5 on their next upper bracket games though. Considering that they were pretty good on the group stage, I guess this should be doable

EG picked Thunder over Aster to go against so they might feel very confident against them. But personally, that is quite a risky bet. I would not underestimate Thunder just because they ranked lower in the group stage. We will see main-stage strategies moving forward so they may catch EG off guard. I will go for over 2.5 maps and Handicap Thunder +1.5. I am not expecting a sweep in upper bracket but I might be wrong as well. Good luck with your bet.

Boom Esports is still hanging on their hope to clinch a spot in the lower bracket. They got the first map against EG. They need another map to force a tiebreaker against Soniqs. They are doing everything to win against all odds. Where is this fight from Boom early in the group stage? It's like they have just woken from deep slumber and finally find their fight.

SEA teams play at best when matched against top teams but went too soft against supposed weaker oppositions. And just like that, Boom took game 2 and is now headed into 3-way tiebreakers with BetBoom and Soniqs.

Boom Esports continued their streak today and was able to secure a lower bracket slot. I think they play better when they are playing elimination matches.

This is a crazy group stage and no one expected this current ranking. The Last Qualifier teams Secret and Liquid are in the top 2 of their groups. My bets are bleeding as well. It's unpredictable, unlike the other TI where I earned hundreds of dollars. In this group stage, I only managed to win 3 out of around 20 bets.

I expected Team Secret to at least snatch an upper bracket slot, but I did not expect them to be 2nd in group rank. They have continued their momentum coming from the Last Chance Qualifier. These LCQ teams might have a better grasp of the Meta since they are playing in this tournament longer, coming from LCQ matches. I did not make bets on this group stage because I expected it to be crazy. I reserved my funds for the Main stage where the matches are a bit predictable, and I have a little information about the strategy of the teams.

Good luck to the top 1 and 2 of Group B, OG and LGD are waving at them.  Cheesy

Tundra avoided LGD and chose OG for their first mainstage match. I would choose OG too if I were to choose between OG and LGD. LGD is on a hot streak. After a bad first-day start, they then dominated their matches dropping only 2 maps in 6 matches. That is a 10-2 run. Team Secret is in trouble because they have to face LGD immediately after the group stage.

YEKINDAR has become a free agent officially.

He was first brought as a replacement for buster. But he was one of the most important players for Liquid for a long time. His contribution to the successes of his team recently was really big. It is interesting to see that he has bought himself out of his contract with Liquid. I wasn't expecting such thing to happen honestly because things were going on amazing for Liquid in the recent times. They are the 4th biggest team in the world rankings right now. I wonder what team will be his next station. I hope that he becomes a part of one of the strongest teams. Because he has a great talent not to waste with lower teams.

https://www.hltv.org/news/34814/yekindar-becomes-free-agent
Dumb move from Liquid there. YEKINDAR carried the whole Liquid team hard in some very critical moments and clutches. If Liquid benched YEKINDAR, who's going to take his place? And the upcoming Rio Major is nearby, is the new player have enough time to train and be familiar with Liquid strats? Anyways, YEKINDAR becomes a free agent and may send a signal for new CS organizers out there to get him. Maybe TSM?

It was definitely the situation. YEKINDAR carried the team literally in the recent tournaments. This is a huge power loss for Liquid as a result and I wonder how much they will be affected by this big loss. I guess we won't find out about it much until the Major which is going to take place on November 5. Maybe we will see Liquid not even being able to get past the group stage there. They really need to find another solid fragger to fill YEKINDAR's place strongly.

TSM might be a nice choice for YEKINDAR maybe as they are entering CS: GO again after a long time. We might see very familiar faces there also like maybe some of the old Astralis players. They don't think of buying any team so they are going to build the team from scratch. YEKINDAR is a huge opportunity to take advantage of for them.

Since I am sharing my winning tickets sometimes, the time has come to share a loosing one. Not much of a stake since I expected to loose it and played it just for fun but I think there has been years since last time I managed to get all the games in x5 multi wrong

Kinda wondering your thoughts on taking EG -1.5 though considering that EG has already qualified for the upper bracket before the day 4 start. I personally wouldnt take Boom to win or draw either considering that they pretty much sucks on the day 3 so probably would have avoided this but yeah its a small stake to risk on a fun parlay though

@blue_hurricanger  It's been a really long time since we last saw a different team than FaZe or NaVi at top. But now we see that Vitality have taken the lead and Liquid have left NaVi as well. Maybe this is related to that the FaZe - NaVi duo have been passive in the recent times. They had a shocking ESL Pro League run like being eliminated early after the group stage. So it is normal to see them losing their spots from now on. Balances can change even more after the Challengers Stage starts at the end of the month.

By the way, s1mple has extended his contract with NaVi for three more years. He has been a part of this team since 2016 and I don't think that he will join another team that easy in the future. Maybe at some point we can see him going back to Liquid which is his old team. He can do this before his retirement but it looks like we will continue to watch him at NaVi for long years. He will need to keep his effort high of course otherwise this bond might be broken earlier than expected.

Surprisingly, Those 2 teams Team Liquid and Team Secret who who won the last chance qualifier are both second place on there respective group. This is the effect of the momentum from there recent do or die matches. I hope they will continue there good run up to the finals especially Team Liquid since this is the last tournament of Matumbaman. I made huge profit by betting to them since the last tournament. I will go all in this time on all of there upcoming match.
Secret and Liquid also boosted my bank in last chance qualifier and here. I sort of forced them just because they were coming hot while most of the other teams had long breaks.

Anyone else surprised about SA claiming upper bracket spot from Thunder Awaken? Lots of surprises as we head to the end of the group stages. BOOM just take down the seemingly unbreakable EG to hold on to tournament life, and TSM leaving the tournament very early into the game. Lost my parlay because of EG dropping against BOOM but man, SEA dota is something else when it comes to tougher opponents.
I expected the unexpected for the SA teams, just like last TI when beastcoast has surprised a lot of Dota fans. Well, it should have been 2 SA teams that shall be at the upper bracket but hokori fell shortly. TSM FTX is already out of TI and they're the first team to get eliminated. There's a tie breaker for the group A, BetBoom, Boom and Soniqs. Well, the first game has happened and Boom has won against Soniqs. Now, it's Betboom versus Boom, if Boom wins then they're in.

Same scenario in here. Last TI I made a handsome profit from all the games, but that is because I avoided the group stage like the plague and I guess I should have stick with what works for me. This current tournament, I already lost 8 out of 12 bets and I'm already in the negative, but we love a good competition and I'll just bounce back on the main stage.

OG was able to secure the final spot of the upper bracket in group A by beating RNG 2-0. After they played badly yesterday, losing a map to BetBoom, they turned everything around by demolishing RNG in their match.

Given the situation of RNG, I do not blame them for losing to OG. Since their health issue came out, they did not win a single game. We know how strong they are at the start of the tournament, if they could just put this bump behind them, then they can still come back from this. I do not know if a lower-bracket team was able to win a TI but there's a first time for everything. They can still go deep into the tournament.

And just another news came for RNG. 4 members have contracted covid-19 except xNova.

News: 3 more RNG players test positive for COVID-19 at TI11

As of posting this, they're having a match against EG and most of them are isolated while competing for the group stages. Anyway, congratulations to EG as they've secured upper bracket even if they still need to play for other matches.

This sucks. The manager should really be penalized heavily for not disclosing that he contracted covid and it caused a chain reaction of events that led to this. Good thing I chose EG to win the bet, although for sure bookies would nullify the result since it's a no-contest match.

Valve and the organizer should also be more strict when it comes to imposing covid rules and health restrictions. They should have multiple swab tests too. But yeah, they're skimping too much on the funds.
Yeah, the punishment should on their GM and not on the players. He's liable for what's happening to the team now. Honestly, RNG has been doing well not until these things occurred to them.

They should still make some restrictions and be strict with implementing health protocols and don't be too confident with loosening with this protocols.

And just another news came for RNG. 4 members have contracted covid-19 except xNova.
That's rough for RNG, covid hitting them hard today as they dropped 3 series in a row and they might end up in the lower bracket or maybe a tiebreaker for 4th since Team Liquid is still playing atm and I don't think they could sweep OG tomorrow on their last series.

It might be safe to say LGD is the second team qualified for the upper bracket since they'll be facing BetBoom tomorrow for their last series, and worst case they drop one map against them.
PSG.LGD is close in securing the upper bracket slot. Well, here are some teams now that have secured the upper bracket.

  • EG
  • Team Liquid
  • Tundra
  • Team Secret

Two teams from the last chance qualifiers have secured the Upper Bracket! 4 more teams will fill and secure the upper bracket slots this day later.
