Hokori is performing really well, that is why I doubt RNG will be able to get to upper bracket. If Hokori beats Liquid, then there is no chance for RNG or OG for to get to upper bracket. If hokori ends up getting a draw against liquid, then RNG or OG gets to tie breaker with hokori. But with the current situation of RNG, they might just fail to secure upper bracket. If Liquid beats hokori, then the 4th slot for upper bracket is pretty much open.

It is unfortunate but RNG needa to thread a needle in order to secure an upper bracket and with their health in question, it will harder for them to do it.

Huge chance for Hokori to snatch the 4th place from the big names and secure an upper bracket run. OG needs to step up too and be more creative with their drafts like what they did with that Brood, else teams like Liquid and Hokori can just breeze past them and they'd be in for a treat in the lower bracket.

Never expected SA dota to be this good honestly. I know beastcoast has been a standard name for the longest time in SA  but damn they have lots of talents there.

Good to see Last Chance Qualifier teams are doing good in TI. Team Secret is sitting at 3rd and Team Liquid is at 5 but they have a good chance to snatch the last seat for Upper Bracket.
Yeah, last day later for the group stages and Team Secret and Team Liquid are doing it. Well, the slot for these two are worth it. While for those teams like Boom Esports and Talon, well, 2 SEA teams out of 3 are endangered to be gone for the next stage, the playoffs.

There's still one remaining day and these endangered teams can still get out of it if they manage to win, possible for Talon. It still has 2 matches remaining.

While for Boom Esports, they only have 1 match left and it is against EG. We'll see if EG is going to give those two matches.

Hopefully, they could recover but I doubt they can still make it to upper bracket. They may have to continue in the tournament in the lower bracket.

Their last game for tomorrow is against OG though and OG still needs to win to get the upper bracket slot as well so good chances that they might lose this one as well. Im not sure how the covid situation actually affected them but given that they lost twice against Hokori, I'd say it should be pretty bad for them I guess

Took several singles for tomorrow

That's rough for RNG, covid hitting them hard today as they dropped 3 series in a row and they might end up in the lower bracket or maybe a tiebreaker for 4th since Team Liquid is still playing atm and I don't think they could sweep OG tomorrow on their last series.

Kinda wondering about this bracket tally though.

So hokori won twice and is 4th place alongside with RNG that won four times huh. Its kinda sucks I guess because in the end, they tallied everything by your win and lose record for the game instead of winning the game by 2-0 means nothing special at all

It has always been that way, for as long as I can remember. Besides, you just counted the wins of RNG, but you did not take into account the losses, that is 0-2 as well. RNG could been in higher rank if they did not lose 3 straight matches today. It is just unfortunate that they suffered these losses because they caught COVID, otherwise they could have easily contested EG in the top 1 position. They were at the top yesterday and posing to take the #1 slot until they were hit with COVID. Hopefully, they could recover but I doubt they can still make it to upper bracket. They may have to continue in the tournament in the lower bracket.

They'd most probably be under a special arrangement, although until when, that I will not be sure. Either they have to forfeit the tournament or Valve treat them like they are some kind of VIPs, but should they reach semi-finals, they had to be in the stage else Valve and the organizers will have to device a plan to ensure that the room will still be covered even if the players have COVID. It will be hard that's for sure.

I really hope they will be allowed to continue if they were able to reach the semis. But the problem is the crew that will be covering them will be exposed to covid. I do not know if Valve will allow their crew to take that risk.

This is the look of the bracket for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

A new excitement is beginning by tomorrow. It will be a short run and there is no making up for their mistakes for the teams participated because there is no lower bracket. Astralis - Eternal Fire matchup will be the most important one for me as I'm an Eternal Fire supporter. They gave some good signals in the ESL Challenger Rotterdam in fact. Their mental just dropped so easily and let ENCE win easily. They were so close to making it on Mirage in fact.

Astralis are another disappointing team considering their poor performance in the ESL Pro League. Therefore I'm still hopeful about Eternal Fire to eliminate them. It's good to see that the matchups are BO3 otherwise it's really dangerous for the teams as there is no room for big mistakes.

This sucks. The manager should really be penalized heavily for not disclosing that he contracted covid and it caused a chain reaction of events that led to this. Good thing I chose EG to win the bet, although for sure bookies would nullify the result since it's a no-contest match.

Valve and the organizer should also be more strict when it comes to imposing covid rules and health restrictions. They should have multiple swab tests too. But yeah, they're skimping too much on the funds.

I wonder how this will affect them after the group stage where they will play on the stage with other players. Will they be allowed to play?

If the players contract covid after they have done the swab test, then Valve cannot actually control it. Symptoms come out days after getting the disease. Unless you want them to get swabbed every day, there is no way of knowing it until the symptoms come out. It is the team's responsibility to make sure their teams are following COVID protocols and report immediately if symptoms appear.

YEKINDAR has become a free agent officially.

He was first brought as a replacement for buster. But he was one of the most important players for Liquid for a long time. His contribution to the successes of his team recently was really big. It is interesting to see that he has bought himself out of his contract with Liquid. I wasn't expecting such thing to happen honestly because things were going on amazing for Liquid in the recent times. They are the 4th biggest team in the world rankings right now. I wonder what team will be his next station. I hope that he becomes a part of one of the strongest teams. Because he has a great talent not to waste with lower teams.

OG is doing it again by having a flawless standing on 1st day and now they beaten badly by teams that performs very poor on first day. They are now choking and bandwagon fans is blaming Misha on all there loss while ATF is the real problem on there match. They already wasted there opportunity on the upper bracket despite they already have a good run on the beginning of the tournament.

So good to bet against them after I watch them losing on LGD. I’m impressed about Hokori performance and I believe they are now the dark horse on this tournament. Betting +1 with them on bracket stage is my next strat.

I think OG lost they chance to get to upper bracket when they lost game 1 to BetBoom. BetBoom is at the bottom of the bracket but they were able to beat OG. Too bad for OG, they needed that win to have a fighting chance for upper bracket. I guess they will start the playoffs from lower bracket and everygame will be an elimination game.

It might be safe to say LGD is the second team qualified for the upper bracket since they'll be facing BetBoom tomorrow for their last series, and worst case they drop one map against them.

BetBoom is fighting for their life when they face LGD tomorrow. They badly needed the win in order to at least have a chance to snatch the last seat for the lower bracket. We will see how they will fight tomorrow that their chance to continue in TI is on the line.

The Academy League tournament continues. In the first match of the day, flames furia. He defeated the academy team. It was the flames team that performed better as a team. They showed that they worked well on the CT side.
Now big and ence academy teams are fighting. Big has a step advantage in the academy because it has a player like tizian.

Yesterday, in the flow fireleague tournament , spirit met pain in the final. Pain chose the first map and won the map they chose themselves. Spirit, who brought the situation to a tie in the second map, won the decider map and won 100 thousand dollars and the tournament. Since Spirit is made up of young and talented players, it is natural to see surprise results. But in this tournament, there was no opponent that would push them too hard.

Well, looking at their standing today. They're no longer joking as it seems that they're on a 4-0 run, while their other 2-0 from RNG looks like an easy game for them.

They'll have their last game against Gamin Gladiators today.

While the bottom 4 as of the moment and not yet official for this day are, Boom Esports, BetBoom, Talon Esports, and TSM.

Team LGD win because of getting a by default one of their former player Sommnus got a covid and we know how this man strong in the midlane and RNG right now are struggling in the match because one of their core right now is cant fight with the bracket game, still LGD gets the win for this match because we know their capability but again there's a chance that RNG can manage to win that comeback, still there are a lot of games right now and congrats to EG the bleedblue is back again.

News: 3 more RNG players test positive for COVID-19 at TI11

As of posting this, they're having a match against EG and most of them are isolated while competing for the group stages. Anyway, congratulations to EG as they've secured upper bracket even if they still need to play for other matches.

But, they're still winning.

I'm not just used to see PSG.LGD struggling during these group stages but that's it.

Well actually they are still good compared to like half of the teams on that group. Probably saving up their aces rather than giving it all up on the group stages but its just so random at this point though.

Going with this single bet for the opening game on day 3 though, PSG.LGD needs to start racking up wins on their next games to make sure that they will get the upper bracket so yeah this could be it though

Hope you considered the penalties to LGD before you committed the bet. I am not sure if it will affect LGD, but RNG is quite strong right now. I am more inclined to a draw if not for a win for RNG.

LGD is struggling but it could be that they do not want to give a lot of clues to their gameplays once the bracket rounds begin. I haven't watched these match-up since I was busy with the other games. But I also thought earlier that this ends in a draw considering how strong RNG is showing. So what's up with RNG forfeiting game 2 due to a medical issue? And yet they are here ready for Hokori? This is another incident wherein a Chinese team gives up points to another Chinese team? Smells something fishy while there is stiff competition between LGD, OG and Liquid vying for the 3rd and 4th upper-bracket slots.

Anyways, I'm a little sad for the 2 Boom teams. It seems they are clearly headed to the next rounds, the airport rounds. Cheesy

So many DOTA games, really difficult to cover them all and make proper betting decisions. After loses on day one I had a better day with my main DOTA ticket hitting nicely and I was very close to land another long shot ticket as well. Still keeping it very low stake until we get to BO3 games.

That is my strategy too. I will wait until we reach the playoffs before I start betting on any team. For now, just chilling and observing which teams are more stable and have the meta down.
It's better to bet with confidence on the best of 3 series' than on this one on the group stages that only have two games. It's hard to beat those bets that a team would go 0-2 or 2-0. Because usually, they're going to have 1 win and tie at most times.
Day 2 has ended and RNG is at the top of Group A and for Group B, it is Team Aster. Well, just some Chinese teams again.  Grin
And with breaking news: PSG.LGD penalized by Valve at TI11 after failing to report COVID-positive staff

Quote
For the series against BOOM Esports and Gaimin Gladiators, PSG.LGD will lose their reserve draft time.

This will surely hurt them. I do not know how fast they draft but if you lose your reserve time, you will be forced to have a quick draft. I hope they will come prepared for these matches so they can still win even with this disadvantage.

It will be a break for Boom though because they really need a win with the remaining matches that they have if they want to keep going in TI. They will surely take advantage of this penalty given to LGD.
Well, PSG.LGD vs RNG was done and LGD took 2 games of win. There's another incident that has came from the side of the RNG. I don't know if it's true that Somnus got a continuous nose bleeding and that's why he wasn't able to play for the 2nd game thus, the game was forfeited. So, an automatic win/points for LGD.

How are they coming up with penalties? This seems so strange. Here is the quote from that link
Quote
For the series against Royal Never Give Up, PSG.LGD will lose priority selection for Radiant or Dire.
For the series against BOOM Esports and Gaimin Gladiators, PSG.LGD will lose their reserve draft time.

Why different penalty for different games? Why not same penalty for all three games? Never actually played DOTA so I don't know how big of penalty is loosing reserve time but it seems to me this could end up being a catalyst and firing them to even better performances.
I don't know what's the basis of that but it's the officials that are giving that penalty for them. It's a better penalty IMO rather than they'll be deducting points during this group stages.
