Tonight's match between Astralis and ENCE will be interesting. Two of the old camp, used to stand at their pinnacle at the top #1 HLTV but now fighting for spots to the playoff rounds. konfig and Valde used to be a teammate and played under the North banner, always under Astralis thumb back in the Astralis era. Now both will meet each other under a different banner, konfig under Astralis and Valde under ENCE. So far, this group C seems on nearly the same level between teams.

Map pool wise, ENCE has a smaller map pool compared to Astralis. The odds for both teams are kinda even, 1.8 or around that. I think Astralis is a bit better here so weird that sportsbooks give such odds.
~snip~

This is the most attention getting game of the day in my opinion. Astralis win have an odd like 1.81 now and the gap is really slight as you said. However I think that Astralis will get a reassuring win in this series like 2-0. ENCE are still having hard days and can't compete much with big teams. Astralis lost to HEET also after the disaster against Complexity. This might cause some people to have trust issues with Astralis for this game and I understand them of course. Honestly, I feel pretty confident about their win here. They did this to MOUZ also and I expect the same effort against ENCE also.

Heroic - HEET has started by the way and the first map (Vertigo) is going on very competitive. I don't think HEET can beat bigger teams two times in a row. Heroic should be winning by 2-1 at worst. For the Complexity - MOUZ game, my pick will be Complexity win @2.95. I think it's worth giving it a try while Complexity are impressive lately. It will be a single bet of course as I don't want to increase the risk level of my parlay.  Grin  I thought of adding MOUZ but their odd was 1.34 which was quite low for a single bet. Let's try a surprise bet for once.  Grin

I should have trusted my gut feeling. My bet on T1 lost. Polaris played really well I should say, and even with the space topson and ana provided for themselves during those two games, they simply cannot carry the deadweight of Kuku and the ineffective mid-late game of non-scaling heroes of Xepher and Whitemon.

Next up is Talon and Polaris. Talon should be the favorites here given their dominant performance against the heavy favorites T1 but again, this could be anyone's game. They both breeze past the SEA favorite and this should bring a very exciting match.

Lost two of them and Its painful when you watch Nigma is not going to play in TI for two straight years. Well considering that Nigma hasnt been playing well throughout the year then yeah its pretty much bound to happen.

I still do think Team Secret will make it to TI this year and another step for them is to take revenge against ITB in 10 minutes from now.

I honestly think its going to be Entity though. I totally love how Entity smashed both Liquid and Secret, its as if both of those teams have nothing against Entity. Its going to be Secret or Liquid again in the grand final against Entity so yeah there you have it

I made a bet between talon and T1 of course I'm into the t1 because they have the two Ti Champion Ana and topson, but 23savage proves that they can win the game and they got the series of 2-0 and for sure many people losses with this match because of the 4 man chrono. This is unexpected thing the match of Secret and Nigma no kuroky for the upcoming match and still Puppy trying to pursue to be part of this Ti.

I was curious to see who would win game 3 and take the other last chance spot between Secret and ITB but unfortunately they had to postpone the series due to the server issues.

For the SEA lower bracket finals, I went with Polaris @3.3 just for the value since I think the odds should be closer maybe around 60-40 after both teams lost 2-0 against Talon.

My friend bet a lot on Talon expecting T1 to flop. Can't blame him, easy wins for him too. For this matchup, I'm not liking Polaris' hero choices, although it is purely outplay on the side of T1. Topson dominated the mid-late game, and managed to maintain that discipline even if they are extremely ahead.

Watching T1 losing to Talon is satisfying. Kuku venomancer on game 2 has no effect on the game and didn’t do properly his job to punish faceless void on early game.
Even though I had a bet on T1 I somewhat agree with you there, they should've picked a much better offlane hero that could've pressured void or always insta ban void in the early phase since it's one of the most picked heroes this patch.

Kuku is trying to be Ammar based on his hero choices. Wants to hog the map as much as he can while the rest of his team with the carry is making plays. He's not for this kind of offlane, he's for the playmaking hero type and he's not been using a lot of those since a few weeks ago. In game 2, I'm surprised that he went for a Beastmaster, a hero that finally wants to engage as much as he can on the map.

I still do think Team Secret will make it to TI this year and another step for them is to take revenge against ITB in 10 minutes from now. Also , sad for NIgma fans today but to be honest , Sumail did anything he could in order to save that game but Pango from Nisha in game 3 had no counter and then , if that wasn't enough , Liquid lost 2-0 against Entity but StormStormer is one of the best midlane right now in Dota 2 and he proved it again today.

Yeah i am also quite sad that Nigma now has no chance anymore to be part of the International. For me it's just a shame that we will not see players like Kuroky, Sumail and Miracle at the biggest tournament, but they just did not manage to play well enough to qualify so in the end it's their own fault. It will be interesting to see what happens to Nigma now. I doubt that they will keep the exact same roster for the next season as i can imagine that Sumail or Miracle will look for other teams now that have better chances to win big titles.
Team Secret vs. Into the Breach is 1-1 now and the last match will happen tomorrow because of technical issues. Secret is still the favorite here for me.

It's proven wrong today, when they got beat up 2-0 straight against Talon, and both Topson and Ana used a serious Hero, Invoker and LD, LD is very good in this Meta and invoker is kinda Topson signature's. But Talon still win, I didn't mean to say that they play bad or they are getting worse, but Dota is a 5v5 game, two people cannot just beat every team, they need to bond with the other player first.

There are some miscommunications here and there in their gameplay but they still played great. They showed amazing DOTA and they gave talon a good fight. I thought they are trolling when they left a refresher in the Rosh but I think they did not see it or expect their teammates to get it because when ana checked next Rosh, he pinged the refresher. They are not out of the tournament yet. They will face Polaris tomorrow in the lower bracket finals. Hope they win it and have a rematch with Talon.
Indeed. They have a lot of this same communication even on Game 2 of the series. 23savage is so strong on this qualifiers because the T1 offlaner can’t give him an early aggression despite his hero is counter by the enemy. I like to comment Talon on all of there picks and team fight on this tournament because they are very consistent on all the clash they are picking and also Kpii is very good providing space for savage to farm freely.

T1 on Game2 already have the advantage but they are rushing the high grounds multiple time that result to there loss of the game. They can’t do anything when savage caught 3 man in his chrono.

Their weakest link is Kuku, no doubt. The dude's trying to emulate Ammar's offlane heroes by trying to transition as a carry and hog one side of the map for his farm. Even then, his farm is still slow and his item choice is not impactful all throughout the game. That game 1 Viper he has had a lot of space, even more space than ana, and still end up not doing anything against the aggression of Talon. Game 2 he may have done something against 23savage but his poor shot calling ended up in Talon slowly but surely taking the upper hand. They better get this sorted out else they will not qualify to TI at all Cheesy

In the group matches of the ESL pro League, the matches in Group C are more competitive than I expected. The leaders in the previous groups had no losses, and both teams got out of the group stage by collecting 15 points. In today's matches in this group, they beat MOUZ-ENCE 2-0. MOUZ beat their major rivals first Heroic and then ENCE wow they had really amazing odds. Heet team also beat Astralis 2-1, actually it wasn't a comfortable match for Heet, but they won and got their first points.

It was a quite interesting day. It's really hard to know how Astralis can lose this kind of matches in the group. Complexity and HEET are both teams to easily beat for them normally. But Astralis are still having issues with focusing on this kind of simpler matches as it seems. I mean how can they be this bad at the same time while they are able to beat the current leader of the group?

Speaking of the leader, MOUZ didn't surprise me by defeating ENCE comfortably as well. Their odd was a nice gift which was around 1.90. ENCE were shown as the favourite but it wasn't sensible at all. It was so easy for MOUZ to finish the job on Overpass by a huge win like 16-3. Snappi was the worst player of the team for ENCE here by only 4 kills. I won't be surprised if even HEET get past them and they finish the group at the bottom.

As I was saying yesterday, one has to go and to be eliminated. And this has happened in the lower bracket, still no guarantee for one of them to proceed to the grand finals. The winner still has a lot of way to go before the grand finals.

WEU is exciting, Nigma and Team Secret has to eliminate each other.

Nigma is out, no kuroky, no sumail for this TI. And Team Secret is still in the qualifiers but isn't sure if they'll proceed even up to the last chance qualifier. As I am watching right now, 1 win is already there for their opponent, Into the Breach. If they lose, Team Secret is out. And if they win, they'll secure a last chance qualifier and has to face Team Liquid at the lower bracket which is one step away to the grand finals.

Eternal Fire are competing in the ESL Challenger tournament before starting the ESL Pro League. They started with a match against 1WIN. This was going to be a good test for Eternal Fire before a more serious tournament. But they started badly by losing 2-1. Actually the results of all maps were really close.

deko and flamie tried to carry their team on all maps by really solid peformances. deko was always the 1st while flamie was finishing the 2nd. On Nuke, there was a great competition for being the top fragger of the match between deko and woxic. paz had a really poor day today and he was the bottom fragger on two maps. Eternal Fire needed his firepower to be more effective in this matchup. So one of the reasons of this loss can be seen as him. Eternal Fire have one last chance in the lower bracket and their opponent is going to be the winner of the forZe - Iron Branch matchup.

Just got my observation people today keep picking the death prophet into a  different role still as a core and because it is too much op partnered with the vessel at the same time is the shroud for the life steal, I saw it again with the match of Team Nigma vs Brame those games have death proper and with the earth spirit, game 2 becomes chill for the nigma and too much chase but at the end still, they manage to win the game.

Death Prophet spirit siphon is buff with additional damage. I just heard it on the caster but I don’t read the current patch so I don’t know the exact details. You can see that DP is so OP once he is linked to enemy hero using his siphon. This makes her tanky and very perfect for his exorcism.

Many heroes now are being use as pos1 just because they have a buff skill like undying that recently used by Ana on SEA qualifiers.

Death Prophet can gain more additional HP every time its links to the enemy at the same time is taking a damage, also there's a regen with the use of the urn or vessel that's why DP makes so much OP in this meta and also the shard have fear for the siphon, actually undying is ideal to make a hitter type because of the upgrade of it every hit there's a summon of zombies and make slow and damage to the hit which is too much OP if you added an attack speed, today T1 lose against their former player 23savage for a 2-0 series.

It is really difficult to understand what Astralis are doing now. They lost to HEET by 2-1 today. gla1ve was really ineffective today as he was the bottom fragger on both maps with bad statistics. I know that he is the IGL of the team but he needs to make a bigger contribution with getting more frags also. Farlig was really incredible on last map with 31 frags but they still lost on Nuke by 16-14. This is the second time Astralis are losing against a much weaker team of the group. Before the matches started I was seeing wins against HEET and Complexity as certain.

Now Astralis' remaining matches are against ENCE and Heroic. Maybe they can defeat ENCE but they might need to win the Heroic match also to finish in top three. But in the circumstances it is really hard to believe in them to have a winning streak of two matches against much tougher rivals. If Astralis fail to qualify from the group I assume they would lose a lot of points in the world rankings.

Only ANA is doing this kind of experiment heroes because heis confident that Topson will carry him. Morphis the real pos 1 on that game while Ana only serves as back up carry although undying damage is really good but its completely no match for slark.

Topson and Ana is just trolling SEA dota because they knew that they can manage to beat all the teams that participate on this qualifierswith there current line up that's why theycan do crazy pick. Let's see if they will still do this on there match against Talon.

I missed the Astralis - HEET match for making a bet however Astralis have an odd like 1.15 so I didn't miss so much.  Grin

My choices for the other two matches of the group are like this:

Heroic - Complexity: Heroic win @1.25
ENCE - MOUZ: MOUZ win @1.93

Heroic are going to play against a team which is in a good form. Complexity beat even Astralis which must have increased their confidence a lot. But I don't see them as strong as repeating this multiple times against bigger teams like this. Heroic can make them taste their first loss by a solid game. As for the other match I think MOUZ are one step ahead even though ENCE are favoured by bookmakers. I don't even understand why ENCE are favoured. Maybe they considered their latest head-to-head in Roobet Cup which was a big loss for MOUZ. But there is a big difference between the quality of these tournaments. ESL Pro League is much more important of course and I expect to see MOUZ showing this by a decent win. ENCE are still in a poor condition.
