Dang, too bad though. I probably wouldnt take live bet on cs2 ever again. I mean the game progress really fast and by the time the bet got accepted by bookies, score could have change by 1-2 points already so sometimes its kinda makes me feel anxious lol. I'd rather take pre bets on cs2 though
Same, the live odds sometimes overreact after the buy rounds and once the round is over it'd take a few moments before the odds stabilize.

Who are your favourites?  Smiley  I'm going with G2 and Spirit. I feel like Spirit have a good potential to even become champions from now on. Vitality look more unbalanced after losing to 9z.
Those are my bets for later today, and i'd feel like 9z is more likely to pull off an upset if there is one in the semis.

FaZe really lost against G2 and it was even by 2-0. The map scores were like 13-8 on Dust2 and 13-2 on Nuke.  Shocked  I wasn't expecting them to even lose so I didn't get brave enough to bet on G2 @2.80 like I said, lol.

Especially m0NESY and NiKo made a huge impact on both maps. I shouldn't overlook huNter's fragging skills too though.  Smiley  I never expected FaZe to be crushed like this and I bet nobody did either.

Now the semi-finals:

9z @2.90 v G2 @1.35
Spirit @1.55 v Vitality @2.30

Who are your favourites?  Smiley  I'm going with G2 and Spirit. I feel like Spirit have a good potential to even become champions from now on. Vitality look more unbalanced after losing to 9z.

I think that Esports World Cup did distributed it on other esports. While we're expecting like $10M-$15M of share for this Riyadh masters, that's fine. $5M is still big and the other esports are only getting $1M for which, it's already a good share for this tournament.

Oh yeah I just noticed this, There are tons of game out there that is labeled with Esport World Cup on Liquipedia. I dont even know like atleast half of those games lol. Rough count of the prizepool shows that atleast $20M in total for the prizepool spread across the game so yeah but honestly I dont know why the only left cs2 with $1M prizepool though considering that cs2 is probably top3 among all those games

What a mistiming for me, I sure should have just kept watching to know who is actually doing better  Angry Angry

I guess that Riyadh Masters organizers became fair on this one because they should have allotted more slots to their very own MENA region.
It's also the ESL organizers behind the tournament, and they'll always do their best to make it as fair as possible.

Speaking of Riyadh Master, the prizepool is only $5M though. Its actually lower than what I hoped it would be. I knew that they are not going to increase it over $15M but it should be $10M instead. Well still a decent amount but lowering this tournament prizepool actually will give TI some highlights because last year, there wasnt really that much highlights on TI because prizepool was simply lower compared to Riyadh Master

I might place some bets later.

I might have just fell for a trap here on IEM CS, I caught the FaZe and G2 match tied at 7 apiece and I went with FaZe to win the 1st map with hope that I've gotten a bargain bet @ 1.72 Odds, only for G2 to show complete dominance and go on a winning rampage, currently 11-7  Sad

And speaking of Riyadh Masters, there are two teams that are already eliminated in the SEA qualifiers. They are the teams below;

  • Execration
  • IHC esports

What I like here is that SEA will get two slots, so that's for the upper and lower bracket and to have some glimpse of it, this is the current update about the brackets. Tomorrow, we'll see who gets in first at the upper bracket for the 1st slot as their ticket to Riyadh Masters.

I might place some bets later.

FaZe: 1.38                 Vitality: 1.28
G2: 2.80                    HEROIC: 3.30

FaZe and Vitality might be combined in a parlay but the total odds are not even over 2.00.  Tongue  Maybe I might make a single bet on G2 to look for some surprise.

Yeah its pointless to actually parlay it when the odds are lower than 2 so instead of parlaying it, you might want to consider Team Vitality -1.5. Odds should be closer to 2 compared to the parlay but atleast its a single bet rather than parlay and obviously Vitality is way better than HEROIC

We are getting close to the end in IEM Dallas...

We got some surprising results meanwhile. At least for me.  Tongue  9z beat Vitality by 2-0. Natus Vincere were beaten by Spirit and HEROIC and said goodbye early. MOUZ also were eliminated but at least they already have a quota in IEM Cologne which is one of the biggest organizations this summer.

The odds for quarter finals:

Friday                      Saturday
FaZe: 1.38                 Vitality: 1.28
G2: 2.80                    HEROIC: 3.30

FaZe and Vitality might be combined in a parlay but the total odds are not even over 2.00.  Tongue  Maybe I might make a single bet on G2 to look for some surprise.

Being successful in such tournaments is very important to be comfortable in big tournaments. As they gain success, the team will be more comfortable in other big organizations.

Of course, I agree. It always helps with the self-confidence in the end. Our last Major performance was generally wonderful. We could have done more than that as well but we were the victim of not being able to control our mental condition.  Sad  But in time I believe in them to get over mental issues as a team.

I see, I guess that it was changed on the last minute or I just missed that detail. It became now that it's no longer one team per region. So the change was like this for now;
Or it might be both, I remember those five slots were tagged as "interregional" before they officially distributed it to the proper regions.
Well, whatever it is it won't change the fact that these teams are going to have hard time qualifying for each of those slots because the good and tier 1-2 teams are participating.

Yeah, kudos on them for being fair. Because we've seen tournaments that have given favor to their home town and own regions. But I won't mention that kind of organizer and region anymore. Anyway, this is going to be a long process for the qualifiers of Riyadh masters per region.

My bets got cooked, Navi was so disjointed in that elimination series, and with the other top teams not performing well, Team Spirit is starting to look like they'll repeat what they've done during IEM Katowice.

There are still additional 5 teams to get a direct invite based on their EPT points and rankings while the rest of the slots will be through the qualifiers for each region which will be in total of 7 teams(one per region).
It's not a direct invite, but these 5 slots will be given out to the more competitive regions based on the EPT points.

I'll be testing my luck with today's IEM Dallas matches, and hopefully, these teams deliver because I also need them for the BSFL.  Tongue

My first bet is on Navi @1.4, i'm not going to risk the handicap here due to their questionable form, even though they're not on fire compared to before, they should still beat Heroic.

Later i'll go with the Faze map handicap @1.5~ because Team Spirit is becoming overvalued and Faze can sometimes have a slow start.

Congratulations to Team Falcons, they are our DreamLeague Season 23 champ. Their prize: $300k and 6k EPT points.

Gosh Falcons again huh. I had my hopes when GG knocked them out to the lower bracket. I thought it would be atleast way more fun for the grandfinal as we wont get another 3-0 but oh well guess it happened again
I had also wished GG to knock them down. Before I don't like GG when they have been dominating the tournaments, it was last year. This time it is with Team Falcons. But I guess I am a hater of a team that becomes dominate every tournament or should I say I just want to see new teams emerging and become champions of different tournaments that are happening. It shocks that GG didn't even win on them when they're able to defeat them prior to this grand finals for two straight wins.

Time to switch back to cs2 again, we probably wont have any top tier tournaments on dota2 next month as every teams would seems to be preparing for Riyadh Master on July. I was really hoping we would get something before Riyadh Master, the new patch are pretty fun
Yeah, I'd probably switch a bit in CS2 as well. I think prior to the Riyadh Master, one exciting to watch for is the open and closed qualifiers for this tournament. So all of the regions will have these two kinds of qualifiers but for the closed qualifiers, there will be teams that will get a direct invite. While there are already 8 teams that are guaranteed for the direct invite because they are part of the EPT leaderboard.
Here are the teams that are already qualified for the Riyadh Master:

  • Team Falcons
  • BetBoom Team
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Tundra Esports
  • Team Liquid
  • OG
  • Team Spirit

There are still additional 5 teams to get a direct invite based on their EPT points and rankings while the rest of the slots will be through the qualifiers for each region which will be in total of 7 teams(one per region).

By the way there was a CS2 tournament with a huge prize pool named CCT Global Finals. The pool was $500k.  Grin  There were teams such as Eternal Fire, fnatic, ENCE, Astralis, Liquid and 11 more teams.

Eternal Fire managed to beat Liquid by 3-1 in the grand final and became the winner of the $250k prize as well. What a performance that was though!  Grin  Liquid are right behind us in the rankings and this was a really big victory as a result. I'm so proud of our players. The improvement is real and I hope to see them doing a bigger work in next Major too.

We are ranked #10 in HLTV rankings now. I hope we stay as a Tier 1 team for a long time.  Smiley

The Eternal Fire team made a crazy start in Inferno and showed that they would suppress Liquid in the rest of the series with their comfortable play. It was comfortable for Eternal Fire in the other maps. We became the team that won the tournament with a 3-1 victory. Even though it was not a tournament with big prizes, the teams in the tournament were challenging teams, so it was a good experience. Being successful in such tournaments is very important to be comfortable in big tournaments. As they gain success, the team will be more comfortable in other big organizations.

Yeah, Team Spirit isn't part of the Dream League and I think there is something to do with the points and placing for the direct invites for the past tournaments. Anyway, as for XG, they have lost against Team Falcons and now at the bottom losers bracket they will be facing their other chinese team which is Azure Ray.

ESL now follows point system IIRC in able to qualify to the tier 1 tournament. Team Spirit doesn’t participate much on lower tier tournaments that’s why they are not qualified to join on the current season of Dreamleague. Until now I’m still trying to catch up on the tournaments mechanics since I heard that DPC points is already removed and change to EPT points which is main factor for the direct invites for major tournaments.

Happy to see Ame is now playing on XG with his old teammates. He is still pretty solid pos1.
There's not that much change for the points system, they've just renamed it from DPC to EPT. And you're right for this Dream League, the points have been based on their past tournaments and that's why Team Spirit wasn't there. And now, this DreamLeague Season 23 is done and you know what folks?

Even if many doesn't like to see Team Falcons win this another major tournament, they've just won it and after falling to the lower bracket by Gaimin Gladiators, they went through the lower bracket against BetBoom and went back to the grand finals.

When GG won against them on the upperbracket finals with a 2-0. Team Falcons won 3-0 on the grand finals against GG.

Congratulations to Team Spirit for winning the PGL Wallachia Season 1 as the grand finals champion, winning 3-2 standing against Xtreme Gaming. What a nice game, this is the kind of Dota that we all want and Team Spirit is always like this when prize pool is quite big.  Tongue
Prize;
$300,000 for Team Spirit
$175,000 for Xtreme Gaming.

We will have a rest in less than a day and we'll start with the DreamLeague Season 23.

Well this is pretty weird. I was sure that XG was going to win the tournament but it ended up with Team Spirit winning it despite that they were having it pretty rough for the entire year. Team Spirit wasnt even qualified for the next DreamLeague because they were doing so bad and yet they won against XG so Im totally clueless now lol.

On top of this, I mentioned it like a month or two ago that Team Spirit would probably sign a new player after all those bad results but they ended up making it to the top without any new player. Dang

Both teams are great and for sure a chinese team advances to the next stage of this bracket.  Tongue

What painful day for the Aurora Esports, they've lost the 3rd map by default against BetBoom when it's possible for them to win it.
Anyway, BetBoom didn't disappoint them moving on the next round when they have won against Tundra Esports. Now, whoever wins Azure Ray or XG will face BetBoom.

While at the top bracket, it's going to be GG and Team Falcons.

It was unusual for XG to look flat after cruising throughout the tournament, but Team Spirit was so locked in on most of their series.

Team Spirit probably remembered the Riyadh Masters which is only a few months away and falling short of that DL qualifier gave them a wake-up call since there is a bunch of scenarios for them to miss out on the direct invite.

I also recall you mentioning that potential roster change twice because they had two group-stage exits. Tongue
