I wasn't expecting Faze to defeat Spirit after the quarterfinal matches in the first major tournament of CS2 played yesterday. Faze managed to defeat his opponent with a good game and managed to secure a semi-final place in the tournament. Karrigan showed once again that he is a really weird igl. Most people probably thought that Faze wouldn't last much longer and would be eliminated against Spirit, but they managed to surprise everyone. Vitality's defeat against C9 is very normal, C9 has problems in awper and their main awper player could help them to build a better roster.

Yep , every year we have huge esports events here and the biggest one so far was the Covid TI Dota 2 but unfortunately the arena of 60k places was empty because of Covid.

That one was too bad and it was TI with the biggest prizepool ever. Too bad that it ended up with no supporters at all. I guess we wont be getting anywhere close to this prizepool ever again because currently Riyadh Master will always surpass their limit every year by introducing even bigger prizepool. I kinda wonder how high will we get this year in Riyadh Master

Anyway, I bet on few opening games for The Elite League tournament. As much as I love Nigma, I dont think they will win this one

I must say PGL wallachia looks promising and I'm curious if my city Bucharest will host the show here because we have tons of location we can do it + PGL is from Romania. I also love the fact that all the top tiers teams from the world are in the qualification process + the ones who were invited and that means this tournament will be important in prize but also in points.

If I recall, there has been several tournaments on Bucharest and yeah this is going to be another one. As for now this is listed as an offline tournament in Bucharest so you will be able to watch it in your city. I dont know what PGL actually means but they were the organizers for The International 2023 as well so this is going to be huge.

Atleast on this tournament, we wont be watching double group stage which is kinda boring. A single group stage then priceed to playoff is the best format on dota2 !

However , I personally won DreamHack at Mortal Kombat in 2016 and that should be my biggest esports achievement besides being top 3 at Apex Legends in Romania for 2 consecutive seasons.

Sometimes , I still feel bad for not starting an esports career when I was younger but when you hit 30+ , the reflexes are gone man...kids are breaking my ankles in games right now but I still play games no matter what.

Eternal Fire will face Natus Vincere on Friday. For Eternal Fire to reach the quarterfinals of a major tournament for the first time is a great achievement for a Turkish team, and I have a lot of confidence in the team for some reason, as there is the potential for more of this to come. All of the players in EF are now looking for a huge success. To reach the quarterfinals of CS2's first major tournament is also a great achievement for them.Xantares and his team may be closer to a major championship this time than ever before.

For those tournaments that they are part of and they've got EPT points, they have to collect and win as much as they can for them to get qualified.

Although there are regionals aside from qualification from the points and the actual qualifiers that they have. This is interesting, the prize pool is yet to announce but I am sure it's going to be high.

Well this is going to be interesting because there will be regional qualifiers for MENA region as well. Team Falcons is probably going to be getting into this tournament via the EPT Leaderboard so that leave an extra spot for MENA. Nigma really needs to qualify through this tournamentl, they were basically the first top team in MENA region before all those other teams followed their steps into MENA. Nigma was even part of the invited teams from Riyadh Master 2022 so yeah its going to be another complete embarassment for them

Anyway, Riyadh Master is part of the Esport World Cup though
Yeah, all regions are there so basically there are a lot of slots and that's good that the strongest teams will get qualified through their EPT leader boards while the others will go through the first qualifiers  and next will be through the regionals.

I hope that Nigma will get qualified on this qualifier as they dont have enough points to get through the invites.

But this isn't just all about them as there are a lot of interesting teams out there that we have to watch for.

Checking out some dota 2 tournaments and I've seen that there goes the Riyadh Masters 2024 again. Many teams are going to participate and all teams have got until before July as that's the date of the main event.

As a fan I'm also proud of the work Eternal Fire have done so far in PGL Major Copenhagen. They have left really tough days behind until reaching this point. We have seen so many changes in the roster and most of them have been like bringing an old member back and sending another. However it looks like the chemistry is at top level now.  Smiley

Now they are going to face Natus Vincere in the quarter finals... This is another tough challenge. But considering that Eternal Fire beat even FaZe Clan by an embarrassing score I really give them a significant chance.

The odds are very very close... 1.88 for Eternal Fire, 1.85 for Natus Vincere. Who is your favourite? I guess Eternal Fire deserve a shot here.

So a question here, anyone knows why am I losing all the time lol  Roll Eyes. Been losing shit tons ever since late december 2023 until now. It all happens on dota2 and now it seems cs2 is also taking up on my curse lol. Well I hope things are going to be much better for me on the PGL major playoffs, I will still bet on -1.5 on both Team Spirit and Team Vitality on the playoff though

Bad luck really tags along with me as well and it goes on like that for a long time. I don't know maybe changing the betting habits would be some help. It helped me once when I started to make more different bets. For example do you bet on map handicap mostly? Sometimes even a huge favourite in a BO3 loses a map and shatters the dreams of the bettor.  Sad

I hope both of us can have a good run of bets during playoffs.  Grin  Betting on map handicap -1.5 is really stressful for me so I guess I would bet on sides and look for other options.

I had high hopes for Miracle and Nigma to actually make it to DreamLeague but after seeing the entire series they didn't deserve to qualify because no matter how much you can farm and no matter how well you're doing it , if you don't have a complete vision of how to make a team-fight , then all that farm is for nothing. Exactly that happened in 3rd map where Miracle with AM farmed for 40 minutes just to die without a buyback...

I made a bet with a friend that Nigma will lose this match. As long as they have Kuroky actively playing and drafting, Miracle and Sumail will not be effective as their strategies will always be static and can be easily countered. Kuroky needs to quit playing and not hinder his players' hunger to win tournaments. Countless times has he jumped in trying to initiate as a Mirana for what? Also, their teamfights are a mess. They let the damage dealers be free to do what they want to do while getting their supports picked off by a Techies. It's a shame how a great team like Nigma falls down to teams that aren't experienced as they are just because of one single weak link that refuses to admit he's the problem.

For the first time in Turkish CS history, a team reached the quarterfinals of a Major tournament. Maj3r is really stubborn this time, doing everything to win the tournament. Maj3r's game against VP was incredible. I must say that it was an unexpected performance from an IGL. It is difficult to predict how far they will go in this tournament this time, but defeating the last 3 major champions in the 4 matches he played, he managed to show that he wanted to win the tournament.

Yes, we are in the quarter finals of PGL Major now!  Cheesy

This is just an unbelievable success for Eternal Fire. I was thinking like our future would be decided by the 5th game after having a W/L record like 2-2. However especially after destroying FaZe on Overpass by 13-1 I was in big shock. Right after that I hoped to see to use this momentum to beat Virtus.pro and here we are!

The team performance is at an amazing level now and I hope we can maintain it in the playoffs as well. The playoffs start on Thursday and our opponent hasn't been decided yet.

It would be incredible if we even win the Major.  Roll Eyes

Maj3r has always been hungry for wins. Alongside Xantares, they were always wanting to get a major for the longest time. Currently, I think he's one of the better IGLs since his calls are consistent, and their strategy is working as a team even when faced against stronger enemies. He's also a filling the role of woxic or xantares as entry fragger if need be in order for the team to adjust to other strats. He's not the best in aiming when compared to his teammates but boy he's good in shot calling and putting a lot of confidence in his team.

So well deserved for Eternal Fire! Awesome performance as a team , great mentality to approach games , massive talent within squad , great coach ...all of this lead to this moment for Eternal Fire and I also believe they will do well on elimination stage where most likely a big crowd will cheer for them as underdogs.

Now , we do have G2 who are currently 1-1 with Ecstatic but 3rd map seems to be a winning one for G2 after starting 0-4 on Anubis.  Grin Grin

It looks like your bet lost. But it could have really won though. Spirit just couldn't manage to win on Nuke. Their performance on Ancient and Mirage was really impressive.  Smiley  It was a nice try anyway considering that Spirit have really been on the rise for a while. They are shown as the 2nd best team in HLTV rankings.

Yeah I lost that one and it was only less than 10 minutes after I placed that bet. It was live betting though but yeah too bad, if only they won the 1st map then pretty sure thats going to hit. In fact Team Spirit was already leading on the 1st map, they let it slip from their hands and yeah when Navi took that lead, I know its not going to end well for me

Lets try another one today

Eternal Fire takes on Virtus Pro.Both teams won their chosen maps 13-6 and the match went to the decider map.Eternal Fire's woxic hasn't performed well so far.I can't understand how he can perform so poorly in this tournament even though he is more experienced.2019 The 12th best player of the year should not perform this badly in a major tournament. In Virtus Pro, players had almost equal number of kills, while in EF, Xantares and unexpectedly maj3r emerged as the top fragger.I hope EF will win on Inferno map and make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
