SAW aren't a team that we can't beat normally. I still remember the way we completely destroyed FaZe in the last Major. Now we are playing like we lost our way. I hope we can make it to IEM Cologne in some way. There is a huge prize pool of 1 million dollars.

By the way Astralis started to look like a much better team. device's return and the increase in team chemistry made a positive impact it looks like. They are playing big for the ESL Pro League championship which can take them to IEM Cologne.
Some teams are just that volatile, and Faze probably broke them after that loss since they're one map win away from qualifying.

Astralis showed some improvements, and before this, they brought in some good results from IEM Chengdu making it in the semis and only got eliminated because of Faze Clan. I doubt they can win it all here in the ESL Pro League, the other groups still have some of the greatest teams like Vitality, Navi, and Mouz.

Nah if there is any team that would stand a chance to win against Falcons then that team would be Tundra though. They won once and I was expecting them to win another one against Falcons.
I thought it'd be BetBoom because of their flawless playoff run from the upper bracket, but Team Falcons only got better as they advanced from one series to another.

I thought that they'd be finished by Team Liquid on the lower bracket but it's a reverse power coming from the former Team Liquid who likes to be in the lower bracket and kicks every team that are in the lower bracket.

Nah if there is any team that would stand a chance to win against Falcons then that team would be Tundra though. They won once and I was expecting them to win another one against Falcons. It gets really boring for the pro scene whenever a team really dominate the tournament. XG won the previous tournament against Falcons before this but Im really waiting for the day that a team would knock Falcons out of a tournament
That's true, last time it was Gaimin Gladiators that have been winning these tournaments but it was good that last tournament it was XG that won against them so that's fine. IMHO, it's a seasonal thing when a team dominates the entire year, last year for GG and this time might be for Team Falcons but I see the possible problem here. Most of the teams are going to focus studying their strategies and how they place wards, response into clash and do ganks. With that, when the grander events like Riyadh masters and TI, they are going to fall short. Look at Team Spirit, they're not as good as they are every TI and riyadh masters, they're always falling shortly in tier 1 tournaments or the majors that we're having but, they're taking seriously the bigger tournaments.

match that they've got was seem to be easy for them. It takes experience from them and malrine has already got a few major tournaments that helped him to grow in a short period of time. Ammar the F has also trashtalked pure to go home. Whilst for malrine, he keeps on chatting '))' for every game which is like a smiley whenever he's getting some easy lane and kills. Well, this is bringing hate to them but they're just having fun and it's just an in game trashtalk but in real life, they're all friends that are probably don't like each other anymore when one of their opponents are going to be serious and puts it into their hearts.

Im totally fine with trashtalk though and I really want to watch them bump up the trashtalk to another level lol. Its not enough, lets bump it up and gets everyone mad at the same time lol
Hahaha, not going to that point that I want some street trash talks come in. But these guys are all civil and all of the captions and chats are all for the memes. It's actually fun and adds drama to it, I'm waiting for Ceb to cook both of them but it's not yet the time for that, maybe on the next tournaments.

Congratulations to Team Falcons for winning the ESL One Birmingham. I was even skeptic on them that they're going to win this.

I guess that I am wrong on my assumption that the Team Falcons are the ones that will be triumphant on this ESL.

We'll have to see if they can get the job done because despite the favored odds it still feels like a toss-up. If they lose against Faze in the lower final, they still have one more chance in the last chance group.

We lost against FaZe... But the thing that wounded me the most was our losing against SAW in the 6th-7th place decider match. 2-0 and with really bad map results.  Sad

Even though I like G2.IG and BetBoom tomorrow to advance, i'll probably switch with the overs.

Gotcha, thats what I thought as well. Both teams from both games are equal though so good chances on pulling over maps actually

I might take a single bet later on for Tundra to win, I personally think they are capable of winning though especially after they won against Falcons. There isnt that many team that could actually handle how Falcons play even Team Liquid was reversed sweep by Falcons yesterday after winning the 1st map

The odds for Liquid to win was less than 1.5 iirc so there is really no reason to put up two games under 1.5 in one ticket so I kinda bumped it up by selecting -1.5 which backfire lol. I should really stick only with XG I guess
I had the same multi with Team Liquid to win because every series ended 2-1, but it didn't matter when XG ruined it after falling short against G2.IG. I have to say G2.IG formed some solid drafts throughout the series while XG made me believe after their miraculous comeback in map one.

For the chinese dota 2 community, that bracketing is quite painful. Two chinese teams both at lower bracket and only one chinese team going to proceed to the next bracket and only one has to win, with this, Xtreme Gaming has been eliminated and G2.IG is going to move on against OG tomorrow. While for the first match of the lower bracket with Team Liquid and Heroic, Team Liquid moves to the next bracket and they're now facing Team Falcons, the score is already 1-0 in favor of Team Liquid.

I guess that I am wrong on my assumption that the Team Falcons are the ones that will be triumphant on this ESL. But it's not yet finished, if they win on the 2nd map against Team Liquid then there's still the last map to decide whether they'll be moving on or not. And together with the match tomorrow, we've got the upper bracket for the BetBoom and Tundra Esports.

Speaking of MC, what actually happened between him and the team though? it feels weird to suspend him indefinitely, I mean why dont they let him find another team. I mean yeah shit probably happened but this is the first time I've seen notes like this though
Maybe there's a part of his contract where he has to stay in the org for a specific amount of time and probably loaning him to another team is his only option similar to what Nigma Galaxy did with Sumail and ATF.
That's right, he's binded with the contract that he has with Nigma but we don't know for how long. MC really needs to move with another team as they've been stuck with Nigma for how many years already without any progress after winning a TI title. We want him to be at a better team that's always been qualified with the majors that we're watching right now.

Well seems likely but its just weird that they never really explained what really happened between MC and the team though but I guess they have found a suitable replacement for him. Im glad that I didnt make my bet on Falcons against Tundra

I'm leaning on Team Liquid as well, Heroic did great but K1's performance felt off for some reason, I think they could've done better throughout the group stage if K1 was proactive.

XG all day over G2.IG now that they're looking better, i'm not sure what's wrong with G2.IG they're always lacking in bringing in good results.

I did make a bet on Liquid and G2.IG though but I made a bit of a twist on Liquid by winning -1.5 map so now Im paying a full price from it

Anyway, Team Liquid should probably win tomorrow against Heroic. I mean there is no reason for them to lose on the first game of the lower bracket and as for the other game, I guess XG should be a good choice considering that they are way better compared to G2.IG

The first playoff match just ended for the ESL One Birmingham tournament and after they tried to run it back with almost the same lineup from map 2 I didn't expect Tundra Esports to deny the reverse sweep against Team Falcons. They're not as favored as before, but still, i'm impressed to see Tundra finally gain some success after replacing MC.

We are moving on in lower bracket now. We managed to beat Imperial by 2-1 first. The performances were satisfying this time especially on Anubis.  Smiley  Today we are going to face fnatic.

I hope to see another win.  Roll Eyes  But if we face FaZe in the lower final then our job will be very difficult. I would just hope to play as good as we played against them during the last Major.

With four qualification spots per group, they should get at least one of them, the only question is the seeding (ro16, ro12, QF) they'd get at the end.

Unfortunately, their matches to secure the QF spot are difficult. They'll face Astralis at the start and meet Faze in the next if they win.

It really didn't go well at all for Eternal Fire...  Undecided  They started really poorly by losing against Astralis by 2-0. The map performances weren't good enough either. They couldn't be competitive which was opposite of my expectation. I thought that they would maintain their ambition in the last Major.

Day 2 is done for the ESL One Birmingham and here's the recap for the past two days and as well as the current standings that they have.

I'm amazed of the last match of XG and Gaimin Gladiators, it was about to become a 1-1 since all of the games in the groupstages are 2 matches per series. XG managed to do a comeback on the 2nd map. I wasn't expecting that when the lead of GG was actually far and they're just about to end the game, well on that match I can say that patience did really paid off for the Xtreme Gaming. Last day for tomorrow and we've got some idea on which teams are about to get eliminated and won't make it to the playoffs.

The wait is almost over, with several hours remaining before the group stage for the ESL One Birmingham kicks off.

The teams in Group B are lucky to avoid most of the tougher teams because Group A looks like the group of death with Team Liquid, G2.IG, BetBoom, and Team Falcons.

I'm going low on Shopify to beat one of the weakest teams in Group A as I think they'll struggle to make it out similar to how Blacklist struggled in Elite League.

Esports World Cup has announced its prize pool. As what in the image says, it's totally going to be life changing event for the participating teams, players and anyone who's going to be part of this grand event. In Dota 2, Esports World Cup is the organizer of the Riyadh Masters. And if others don't know yet, Riyadh Masters has got the biggest prize pool last year so, the distribution might be bigger for Dota 2 on this event.

Last year was $15mil which was a huge amount of prizepool though so Im guessing this time it should be atleast $20mil. Its still a huge amount of money, thats literally 20 DreamLeague or ESL tournament because prizepool for these tournaments are usually $1mil
Yeah, that sure is a lot and the EWC is making a history in here and this is how they're defeating the most grand tournament that's organized by Valve into having more prize pool. Last year, IIRC, it was a news that they're investing into esports to make their region as an esports hub and now they're doing it and making a reality.

But even it doesn't get the biggest share for the entire esports event there, I am in no doubt that the share for each pie is a lot and will definitely make these players change their lives forever. And this is setting a record breaking prize pool, the past highest was with The International 2021 with a prize pool of $40M and this one is $60M, woaah!  Shocked

Its different though, this is an entire prizepool for esports worldcup while those $40mil prizepool on TI2021 was reserved only for dota2 so yeah thats a huge difference there but Riyadh Master tournament is still a top tier tournament and we dont even have anything close to their prizepool aside from TI
Yeah, it's different but having this kind of prize pool for one event with various esports involve is still a history. I can't imagine how much return they'll get from this but typically, this is going to make the organizers comfortable hire or choose this region for most grand tournaments in the nearest future once this event becomes successful and I am looking forward for that because they deserve to have that successful event.

EPL season 17 is happening now for Dota 2 while everyone is bored and waiting for the ESL One. This is in Europe so checking out some teams that have the potential since most of them are strong.

Our good boy Dendi is participating on this tournament and it's got 2 days before the playoffs happens and sadly, I've just seen that they're about to get eliminated.

Still no luck for Dendi even with these kinds of tournaments, he and his team struggles.
