[DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS is entering day 10. We will watch the 5th round in the group B, as Team Secret is firmly holding their 1st place with 4 wins. Let’s analyse all upcoming Monday matches.

Team Liquid - Chicken Fighters: Chicken Fighters, 1.99 @ BetOnBit
Team Secret - Team Spirit: Team Secret -1.5, 1.35 @ BetOnBit
Alliance - Natus Vincere: Alliance, 2.16 @ BetOnBit
Ninjas in Pyjamas - Team Unique: Team Unique 1.5, 1.55 @ BetOnBit

What’s going on with Team Liquid? They are firmly holding the last place in the group with 4 losses. They have lost vs Alliance, Unique, Spirit and Secret. In their last matches vs Unique and Spirit, Liquid was pretty favoured, as they managed to get 1-0 lead in both series, but they managed to drop the series in the end with 1-2 to CIS teams. On the other side Chicken Fighters are really impressing us all with their performance in this tournament. Their squad looks really promising, as they are sharing 3rd place in the group with Alliance, both having 2 wins and 2 losses. In each of 4 of their matches in this league they took at least 1 map from their opponents, Secret included. Team Liquid is in terrible form, and Chicken Fighters must use that in their favour. Pretty nice bet on CF, but with high risk.

Team Secret is just looking like a team from another dimension in this tournament. They took all their 4 matches seriously and won them all easily with losing only 1 on the way. However, they are facing Team Spirit now, most probably the real underdog of this group. Underdog team that is currently holding 2nd place with 3 wins and 1 loss. They have won vs Alliance, Unique and Liquid. Yes, all wins were close 2-1 results, but win is a win in the end. Those two teams didn’t face each other recently. Yes, Team Secret are big favourites to take this match and I doubt with Puppey on the helm Secret will do a bad draft. 2-0 for Team Secret here is the most realistic option. It might happen that Spirit would take a map, but I wouldn’t risk it.

This was the real el clasico in esports. Alliance vs NaVi, one of the most expected matches in esports history and Dota 2 of course. Or at least was. Not anymore, a lot of things have changed on the way. Both Alliance and NaVi have 2 wins and 2 losses in this group stage play, at least for now. However, Alliance is a little bit better in the map win-loss ratio, and are higher ranked because of that. Alliance dropped at least 1 map to all teams they faced. NaVi maybe had a harder schedule until now, as they needed to face Secret and Chicken Fighters. Of course they lost vs Team Secret, but they’ve managed to pull out a win vs solid Chicken Fighters. Can they do it vs Alliance? Let me remind you that Alliance is playing with standin on position 5, and new member s4. NaVi is really inconsistent with their plays and form, and I see Alliance are trying really hard and they had some really good matches that I’ve watched. I would give a slight edge here to Alliance, even though NaVi are sportsbooks favourites. Odds on Alliance win are amazing. Worth a try.

This match is really hard to predict to me. Unique really impressed me, they are trying so hard and VANSKOR is a good leader to his youngsters. Unique are CIS team with the potential. But inexperience brought them to 7th place in the group B. They have 1 win and 3 losses, but they have given a hard fight to all teams they’ve faced. They have beat Liquid, but lost with 1-2 results to Alliance, NaVi and Spirit. They had some of those matches, but they’ve managed to lose their lead in the last map, and eventually they’ve lost the match. If they managed to work on their late game and communication a little bit in the last few days, I would give them a chance here. NiP is unstable, they are playing with 2 standins, most probably Blizzy and Milan this time again. NiP have 2 wins and 2 loses, but again they didn’t show much. They are struggling a lot, especially in the communication I think. Unique has a chance here to take a map. Go Unique, amazing odds on handicap.

Bet safe, this is very risky league to bet on! GL! PM me for discord / google sheet!

Anyone here looking on the Los Angeles ESL One Online tournament?
This upcoming match on Group A, OG vs Virtus Pro is kinda exciting, Virus Pro is undefeated, (4-0) while OG is (3-1).
The odds are kinda amazing for Virtus Pro, but still, OG is scary team for this tournament. I think this time OG will play more seriously to aim the first spot in Group A, but Virtus Pro showed quality performance since the start of the tournament for staying undefeated. This is also the first time encounter of OG and Virtus Pro.
Who's side are you? I need some inputs  Cheesy.

If you checked my bets, you would see that i went with VirtusPro. I've analysed them few times already, and they are playing better and better. OG is always good, they have 2 standins currently, but they are performing good. Anyway, I do think 50-50 match, higher odds win  Wink

Well OG lost and its a sweep. Clearly VP is a better team than OG right now and I am a bit disappointed thinking that they could win against VP. As the casters say it, we don't need to be annoyed about how OG picks their lineup since they've been doing that from the start of the tournament and they've been successful in that in the earlier stage. Right now, we can see that it is crumbling down with a team that has players having their own position to them since OG is having a hard time dealing with that right now.

Any esport game.  I like playing Hearthstone from time to time and I used to play Starcraft as a kid.  That's a fun old game.  I was quite surprised to see there were some Starcraft lines being offered at Nitrogen.

Are those games popular in these parts?
Yes, they are.  Smiley

OG - Virtus Pro: Virtus Pro, 2.05 @ BetOnBit

A bit excited about the game of VP and OG. VP is having a good run this tournament making good decisions and counter picks. Their support is really godly, that is Solo. Resolution is also good the reason why he is even invited in the past by Team OG. I will go with OG here, not because I am a fan of the team but also because of the fact that they might give of their hidden plays and picks here.

Starcraft is a big thing in the past but I don't know if it is still being played right now. As far as I Know, Heartstone had an event last year but I don't have that much info about that now. These games are being covered by the best games in esports right now being lead by League of Legends, Dota 2, CSGO and, hate to say this, Fortnite.

A bit suggestion @rand1919.

U should use multi-quote went responding a lot post just for one post, so no need to makes multiple posts cause is against the forum rules.

Understood. Thank you for the suggestion, I didn't know that  Smiley

I tried watching the game with Team Liquid vs some team on it and I found the game a bit slow...
Dota 2 average match duration is around 30 mins - 50 mins and you won't be able to enjoy it (whether you playing or watching) if you don't really know the details of the game.

Are there any other popular games out there?  Preferably with quicker pace.
Among all esports games? or just among MOBA games? Because Dota 2 is a MOBA game.

Yes, both Starcraft 2 and Hearthstone are esports games, and are both popular, I would say in the top 10 esport games currently.

I'm interested if Esport events are still going to continue because of the COVID-19 Virus. I guess a lot of events that including huge crows are going to be canceled in order to prevent the coronavirus.
You are missing a lot.

Forget about those live events, esports can be played even without those huge crowds.
Yeah, this is the only sports that can be done online so probably events or tournaments can still be continued.

The live events you're referring are those majors events that require crowd and support of the people, are canceled because it can't be done online. Major events need sponsors to gain huge pot, it's part of the strategy to hype the people, watch the series of the tournament and to be the witness of the world champion on that specific game.

You can watch  ESL Pro League Season 11 that is currently happening right now and bet for Astralis.  Wink

Esports can really be played without the huge crowd, but the live events is also a big part of the the esports community. A lot of memorable moments happened in those live events. The gameplays and winning moments are more intense with the crowd roaring. Those pro players aren't robot, they are recognized more as a person in live events, not just a unique IGN. And they deserve the recognition. Well, I hope this pandemic will end soon.

Thanks for the links, I watched my first game last night I think it was hellraiser v gambit

Spent ages picking charectors at the start, then they all ran around fighting trees while some guy in overview mode clicked badly around on the map so I couldnt follow it too well.  Cheesy
First time watching "Dota" Globb0?

The caster needs to overview all the maps Grin, If you want to spectate with your own setting perspective better watch the game directly on "Dota" you can freely set the spectator focus into witch team/players you want to see.

Thanks I just watched Team Secret vs Chicken Fighters

Unfortunately that's a loss. Though Secret did win in the end.

That's the best part of it. Esports is currently booming, and one reason is COVID-19. All TO's are turning to esports. Even big sports companies want to have their own leagues in their own games (NBA - basketball, UFC - MMA games...). All those sports have it's own games, where you can create online tournaments between players and still have some sort of entertainment.
Yes.

Charity tournaments for esports were even made during this crisis.

@rand what's the team that you think will win the EU & CIS region for ESL One LA online?
