I know for sure that the majority had to choose Bitcoin.
I invest and hold more on Bitcoin than Ethereum, that is because I trusted more on BTC. I chose to have this coin, not only because of the price and I can gain more profit but also I could enjoy using it to buy stuff in our country since ETH isn't yet accepted.

^ Definitely right and both of them are very useful in every chain even though they had different networks.
But when you are talking of investment I stick more on BTC than the ETH because I noticed and realized that ETH is not further moving the price compared to BTC, which means, BTC is very volatile compared to the ETH. Nevertheless, if we talk about the transaction fees, it seems they both are too expensive and kinda wasting our money covering the high fees, both networks are always busy that makes transactions clogging up.

Both of them are top cryptocurrencies in the market and whatever you choose is for sure give you a good profit at the end of your investment.

However, I think bitcoin is safer just because it is the number one cryptocurrency in the market and you could make sure that the price will increase in the coming years because of the increasing demand and low supply in the market. Also compared to other altcoins in the market it is already late for bitcoin investment because as we can see it's already around 60k$ in the market so the profit here is less compared to other altcoins.

x2 your investment your need to double the 60k$ in the market, in the Ethereum side it just needs to reach 4k$ in order to x2 your investment, also you could invest in a lot more volume compared to bitcoin.

bitcoin is a pure cryptocurrency and ethereum is a great platform with smart contracts as the main features

Bitcoin is #1, so investing in it is always a safe choice among crypto investment options. What's good about Bitcoin is that it not only goes up a lot over time, but also that it loses less of its value in a bear market than other coins. When compared to Ethereum, Bitcoin grows more and loses less.
Ethereum's previous ATH was almost $1.5k, and then it went all the way down to $92, being generally worth somewhere in between $100 and $200 in 2019. So it's safe to say that it went 10x down.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, was worth $20k and went down to $4k, but largely stayed above this price. So it went 5x down at most.
Moreover, ETH's new ATH is currently less than $2k, which is just 1.3x more than the previous one, whereas BTC's new ATH is around $60k, which is 3x more than the previous one.
So to me, it seems quite obvious that Bitcoin is a better choice. But Ethereum is also definitely a very solid one, especially given how it always seems to find new use cases.

It's a neutral concern over this topic.Because both the bitcoin and Ethereum is best of my knowledge. I had invested on both the project from my trading experience. Each of them gave me a bulk profit with respect to time. And the fact is, whenever the price of bitcoin had increased. It will reflected in the price of Ethereum.

hardly anyone is serious about this issue, because in most cases there are no people among us who would give exclusive preference to one or another asset. A good investment portfolio always has both Bitcoin and Ethereum.
