Seeing the articles and taking all the research done in consideration, the market will be split in two when it boils down between ETH and NEO. Because both of these coins have an equal amount of goodwill and users in the market. These coins are equally good and there are 50/50 chance for both of them.
The play that I would do is 50% on each and hope for the best. They are two great blockchains.
Ethereum and NEO are two good coins and very promising they both have advanced technology and potentially become bigger in the future maybe in the next 5 years these two coins will compete tightly, so if you have the big capital I suggest to choose both in your portfolio.
I'm sure that ETH will still be ahead of NEO but NEO will still be able to keep up. NEO has a good platform with this I doubt it will have a hard time going up but with the ETH's new things to come ETH will take the lead as there is so much updates and changes that they're planning to make, the only chance of NEO having a lead over ETH is by ETH messing up their changes and updates.

In five years from now, Ethereum will be aproximately $2,000 and NEO will be at $500 - $700, those are my predictions and i really think that they are highly achiavable, so let's see what happens, i really like those coins because they are useful.
I think that Ethereum will be able to retain its leadership position as Ethereum is more perfect in integration than NEO. But this is only my opinion.
I think within the next 5 years both the coin will reach much higher but Ethereum will be ahead. Eth is a very potential coin and within few years it can even give a competition to bitcoin. So, I think Eth BTC will have higher market value.
