If you're thinking to put your money for the long term investment, the current price si verry cheap and i'm sure we can't see this price again in the near future especially when ETH 2.0 release. But if you're thinking just for the short term, i think ethereum isn't your choice.

I also see that point from OP that fear will hurt your trading business, if you are unsure and not knowledgable enough

in regards to your chosen assets better to review and research for more,. ETH is good for both lng and short term trade

only if you know and understand what you're doing, if you are hesitant then better not to do anything just continue observing

the market first before deciding.

Hi Smiley I'm new to the crypto space. I'm looking at the ETH graph and I'm unsure if I should buy now. But its at an all time high, and I was taught to buy low sell high. I really don't want to be a sheep, but what if the price keeps going up? Should I just wait for it to go down and just buy the dip?

This is the dilemma of most people, we afraid to enter because the price already high, but afraid to not enter because the price could keep rising and will resulting a higher entry price. Anyway, just buy if you think the price is low enough, don't expect a deep dump for ETH so we can enter with low price because the price is already high in the market.
That's right I think we need to take risks in making decisions and for sure it's not easy,
but before making a decision we also have to think carefully first,
I am curious about the future price of Ethereum

There are many ways you can do if you want to invest in ethereum.

1. You can buy ethereum at once at a price now and hold it.
2. You can buy ethereum by diversifying your order buy in many prices range, so you will get a chance to buy low and sell high.
3. You can try to buy ethereum constantly, weekly or monthly and hold it.
4. You can buy when the price is down and buy more when the price still goes down.
5. You determine by yourself.

All of those things will need money, which will depend on how big your money is to invest in ethereum. Do not use all of your money to just invest in ethereum.
If you are doubtful or unsure of buying now, maybe you can wait for a while and still analyze the market so you will get a sign to buy.
At least, by analyzing the market, you will know what you need to do.

ETH is one of the biggest gainers this rally and i never expected the price to reach above $3k let alone it is breaking multiple resistance with ease and i will not dare to enter the market when it has already rallied a lot. I will rather wait for the market correction to invest in any coin as i am not too confident to invest in any coin at this price range.

If you aim to HODL the amount you are going to buy, then it is sensible even now to buy some. And I'll give you that about the buying-low thing is the best option of course. Because you can be in a big profit even earlier.

If you want to entry just entry, but dont all in in one position, so you can averaging down your position when the price down.
Or if you want to have another strategy like divide your investment to another altcoin, i can suggest you EOS, EOS/USD weekly chart shows Adam&Eve Patterns while EOS/BTC graph already break the bearish trend which is so nice for long term investment.

No, buddy. If you want to buy ETH for a long-term investment, you should buy it in the next bearish season. The price of ETH will decrease much and it will be cheaper than the current price. Buying ETH now is only for the short-term holding, it is the price in the bullish season. Buying a crypto coin for a long term in the bullish season will be a mistake, buddy.

I was taught to buy low sell high.
Yes that is a rule of thumb when you do trading, but for me personally "buy low and sell" suggestion is kinda vague. Because you don't know when the exact time the price will be "low or "high" and when someone suggests that kind of suggestion to newbie on trading, they will be really confused to determine when is the best time to do it.

This is why the advanced stuff really benefit you the most, trading chart, reading the orders history etc.

I really don't want to be a sheep, but what if the price keeps going up? Should I just wait for it to go down and just buy the dip?
You should wait, if such thing happens. The outcome would be either dump or pump, that's why I have stated above that you have to rely on different stuff not just solely from the price.

Seeing that the current ETH price is too high, it is very risky if investing in the long term and it is not recommended, you can apply the day trade method to invest in ETH, if you are still in doubt you should first switch to another altcoin which price is still affordable and also has a bright future in cryptocurrency investing.

Looking at the ethereum movement seems pretty good for short term way aiming to increase the price at $5,000 who would know? But these are only my opinion i can share you my friend it all depends on your research and strategic way of making profit.
Yeah, who would it continue to reach $5k, but also who knows if it drops after OP bought it. If we buy at this current price, we are definitely facing a huge risk and higher chances of losing. If we don't want to fall into the trap, the wisest thing to do is to wait until it slows down.

I suggest to OP not to get rush and I hope he will be thinking it seriously before making a decision so he will never be regretting after. He is not wrong of choosing ETH but it was not a good time to acquire it.

If the price was going up even higher and what you can do to bet your money or waiting for the dip to come soon. There will be an update for ethereum next month. Once this update will become a successful update and then you will see that if ethereum will shot even higher than before.
The best thing should be waiting for the dip right now consider ethereum doesn't even face another correction and this is your chance to get into the ethereum.
be patient and it may come very soon.

The current ETH price is indeed on the rise and is above the previous year's price, if you want to trade daily maybe you can take advantage of this moment to make a profit, but if you want to keep it for a long time it's better to wait for the end of this bull run situation.

At present, you can invest in any other coin without buying ETH. There are many good projects in the present that will help you to make a good profit in the future. ETH has already crossed its maximum high so it is better not to invest here at present.

If you are going to buy low and sell high in a short period of time, then you should avoid buying at ATH. No one can predict where a coin’s price will be in the future.

However, if you believe in the project and think long term, then it is worth the risk because the general sentiment is that the ETH token's price will continue to rise. But remember, always DYOR and never invest money that you are not willing to lose.

Well, you're definately have the correct mindset.
Problem is, we're in the middle of a bull run, so it might go up even more (some say up to $5k or even $10k) aand then, we might see bear market tomorrow and everything goes down sub $1k

That's a joke and doesn't really mean anything, it's referring to the fact that we all would have done that in hindsight. But whole TA is prediction game and no one really knows when the price is "up" even when it has gone parabolic because it might have just broke out for a new price discovery. If you have a marketcap price in your head you think it can reach, buy now and sell then. If you think it's overpriced, buy later when it's cheaper.

now the price of ETH is very high but no one knows whether it will continue to increase or will the price go down again.
If you want to buy it depends on your trading strategy if you believe that one day ETH will continue to increase in price whenever it is the right time to buy. and now if you want to trade on a daily basis it is also great to see the very good ETH moves lately.

It may be high today but looking at the potential of eth in the next coming months, especially this July, the probability that it will go up more is very high. So this $3k+ level will not be high anymore. So it really depends on the OP how he look at ETH platform. Does he believe that ETH will stop increasing today or has the potential to grow more? I believe the latter. Also, it relies on how long is he looking to invest on this project. Is is just for short-term or long term?

If you don't want to be a sheep then wait for next retracement in the 4h or daily chart. Market of Ether is too over bought as of now. It has given a good rally of 20% in past week. Market of Ether would definitely come down till 3000 area so if you are looking for investment this can be a good area to keep your buy orders. I just made a mistake yesterday when I tried to buy Ether at 3600 thinking that it's breaking it's all time high but ended up being a sheep when prices came down immediately. So 3600 is a good resistance which won't easily break. Try to buy any downward move that comes after we fail to break this resistance.
