Its a big target for ETH in my opinion. And during the height of its hype around May-June ETH didn't even reach $500, correct me if I'm wrong so why do I we think that it will even touch $1000 at the end of the year?
Yes, smart contracts and everything hands down there's no doubt that ETH is far superior than bitcoin, but why it didn't gain enough traction to push the price to at least $500? Because its just being used for pump and dump just like any other altcoins.

I don't think $1000 is the target for this year. Maybe next year but it's definitely not this year. I also have big Ethereum investment and I hope to see 4 digits soon but it's not too realistic. Especially while ICO's still collect big amont of ETH and dump it in the market. We need to wait more to see 4 digits. Maybe 6-9 months later we can see new rally.
Why not! It's possible for ETH to get higher price in the near future.However, Sir Alex said: “Form is temporary, but class is permanent”. I think it's meaningful and reasonable in this case which BTC will still stands strongly with its leading position.

I think that would be impossible for ethereum to go up $1000 this year and struggles to maintain its price from $290-330. I heard that Morgan is hoarding this coin. I don't know if that's true. If that would be true then

Now, I see only how bitcoin grows up. ETH has long been stable around $300
Well, that is a good technical analysis though that price didn't hold that long so it's kind of invalid for the people that wanted to sell their coins for that price or higher.

It would be a big surprise if it somehow reaches even 500$. I don't see a reason for ethereum to have 3x...

Actually if this happen then it will not be surprising because after bitcoin ether is the best coin. According to present position of ether $1000 is now a matter of time. Ether is promising coin so it should be increase about $1000 very soon.

Ethereum is a good coin i agree with you.ETH is next BTC no doubt.ETH value continuously going up & down.But in this year last month eth price pump $500 i think not possible 1000$.In 2018 ETH will be hit worth 1000$+ in my opinion.
The price of Ethereum is around $300 and to reach $1000 you need to have a big push in the price and i do not believe that we wont see those kind of rally in a short period of time as i am not aware of any news that would lift the price to those levels and if anyone has a solid vision on how these rally could occur . 
i guess eth waits a news on btc specs to go to the moon. hope will go before summer
May go $1000 but not in this year. But, am sure next year it will go derive it's new value and much higher than expectations of everyone. Till year end ETH value can go atleast $400. But investment in this coin would never go loss.
I think if we invest right now our earning would be 2x more like in the half of next 2018 year.

Yes, I agree, the best crypto money Ethereum that comes after than Bitcoin. Bitcoin speculations didn't give the opportunity to increase the price of ETH, and at the end of this year ETH's closing at $ 700 will not surprise anyone. ETH investors have waited so long, patiently, will reach the goal.
I would be slightly surprised if Ethereum went up much more by the end of this year. All the ERC20 ICOs are dumping their Ethereum to fund their projects which stops ETH from going up a lot.I think it take some more months to happen.It will not happen in a two months and all.Even it will happen only of the number of user invest in ETH is increased suddenly.Even I had invested some dollar in ETH also.If the price increase mean,I will sell that ETH and get some more dollar.

with the current sinario, eth has the perfect platform to rise up, bcz eth was never a pump and dump coin, it can easily raise 1000$ mark if gets the support of the community
ETH is very good coin after BTC in history of cryptocurrency .i guess it will touch 1000$ in coming few months
Of course it's very good, look at how fast and cheap the transaction are and compare to BTC fees. Today I paid a fraction of 1 cent for an almost instant transfer! EOS might beat ETH some day but it doesn't exist so far ; )
