of course ETH. NEO is a centralized thing.
I would look at Ethereum in 5 years. I think it will be the best asset. It's a pity that they did not come up with a time machine, and it would be just me.. Mmmm dreams come true... 
In my opinion, these are two very promising coins that will show strong growth and development in 2018! If you choose to invest, I would advise you to choose both!
Looks like neo. Because I from now until now less believe in ETH. But once in a while I look at ETH up. I am so tempted to have it. So I'm still wondering which one..

ETH currently is way more powerful than NEO; but the last does really well lately I should say.
NEO has very good prospects, but the etherium is the first project with smart contracts and it will have a price always higher than that of neo
It will be exactly the same as it was with bitcoin. Bitcoin though loses in many respects to other new currencies, but it still remains the most expensive currency in the world.

I choose ETH and always support ETH forever.
Ethereum is in better position right now, but NEO is not one to be underestimate as well. I have invested in both coins and think, that both have a lot of potential and bright future.
Which do you think is better and why?
I would go with Ethereum because it's the more well-received in the market, and it's the pioneer amongst these two coins that share somewhat the same technology and background. The only major difference with these coins is that Ethereum was developed in the US, and NEO was developed in China. NEO was even dubbed as the Chinese version Eth at one point, therefore, I side with Eth because the pioneer usually leads the copy; I am not saying that it's because it's made in China, but the fact that Eth has more experience and it commands more support from people.
I have a lot of confidence that Ethereum will soar high in the future. I know what Neo coin is but being in the top 2 in the lists is the proof that Ethereum is really the most valuable of all the altcoins.
Neo coin looks better to me.It may show a rapid increase in these times.I'm waiting for ethereum hacking.Mew,Erc-20 etc.Neo started to grow in money-based icos.
For the exchange, the pair NEO and ETH resembles a pair of Monero and Bitcoin. Huge potentials, opposing the points of the globe by the concentration of developers. To talk about who is whom, it's just as though to disassemble one half of humanity differently. I think we will be pleasantly surprised by the joint work of all these blockchains.
You do not even know which coin to allocate to the leaders. Both coins are very strong and serious, these two platforms are the best on the market, despite the fact that there are many interesting projects and platforms, these will always be in the lead. I would choose investments in both coins!
For me personaly Ethereum is better and more developed, all the bounties, airdrops and other things (99%) are concentrarted around ETH and MEW
I think NEO is more potential in long-term. Although NEO is late to the race, it can easily catch up with its rival because NEO promises to cater to a much bigger market. This is exactly why it may survive competitive pressures in the long run.
I would prefer ETH which is the best altcoin now! It is still in development while the market is going down. Its code is evolving fast, each updates is never useless that many other coins could based on it to built a new one. 
I think that NEO is a good contender to the Ethereum - it grabbed some ICO projects on it's side - instead of erc20 they use their protocols.
I think ETH - is king of crypto, but NEO very perspective too, but ETH more popular, so for now ETH!
From my understanding, NEO has much better tech for long term growth than ETH as it currently stands. So, there is no reason for NEO not to overtake ETH.
