As for me, Both bitcoin and Ethereum could boom when the bull run strikes as it did last time. Sometimes, Ethereum depends on the value of Bitcoin so we can't say that it could overtake Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an independent coin and it could soar high even without the influence of any coin.

Do you think ETH may outperform BTC in the next bull run?

ICO under ETH smart contract is not performing well and that is what boosted them the last bull run. I do not think it will work for them this time around. Even right now, the price of ETH is moving up because it is just being pulled up by the price of bitcoin. There is no way it will outperform bitcoin in that way.

No. How can it out perform when the price of ETH is way below BTC, apples and oranges here. If you want to compare ETH then it should be other altcoins and not BTC because they are totally different and investors are more into BTC, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
I agree, we cannot compare ethereum with bitcoin, because in terms of price, investors, and others, bitcoin dominates more than ethereum. When a bullrun occurs it is clear that bitcoin is outperforming other coins including ethereum, and as we know that the price of bitcoin affects the altcoin price
It's because ethereum is just an altcoin like many others. Only bitcoin is king, if another currencies want to fight for a better position, they will have to fight for 2nd or below in crypto currency market. And as you said, bitcoin price affects altcoins price, not the contrary.
When an altcoin starts pushing the market up and not bitcoin, then we may consider the possibility of an outperform against btc.

The comparison for ETH and BTC is absurd taking into consideration the quick facts on the last bull run. BTC was always the best performer among all cryptocurrencies, so others came later after the BTC.

No, I don't think ETH will outperform BTC ever! Because Bitcoin is an uncomparable coin and it is the king of the cryptocurrecny kingdom. And there no coin can beat the bitcoin! Even all of those altcoins can't match the bitcoin! If you look at the coinmarketcap, you will see Bitcoin is dominating more than 58%!

although the Ethereum price is now increasing but for the bull run in the coming year, in my opinion it hasn't been because it is still far from being able to outperform the bitcoin that every bull run gets stronger.

I do not think that eth will outperform btc in the next bull run but i do agree to the extent that eth will surprise many this time around and we may see a new all time high for eth/btc pair.

For the selling value of Bitcoin, nothing will be able to sure eat it. Ethereum did experience a very good price hike. But Bitcoin price can also still be in the pump higher again.

Bitcoin will continue to be the number one coin and of course, it will be more interesting because Etherum is also rising. My hope that Bull Run for this year can happen and lasts a long time.

We all hope that this bull run is here to stay and not just a sharp and temporary one. The bear market hit on ethereum is very strong, even when the market is recovering I don't see bitcoin and ethereum going at the same pace let alone outperforming bitcoin.

After a long time, I am seeing this common troll! If you use the search button, then you will find tons of topics like this one! Every time people answered NO! Because there is no comparison between ETH & BTC! Bitcoin is the basis of the cryptocurrency, people know the crypto industry because of the Bitcoin! Otherwise, Ethereum is the head of the altcoins! So, both are great, but ETH in comparison with BTC? No way! Seems like the crypto market is going for a bull run, I hope ETH price will cross 400 USD this year, and BTC price will overcome 10K USD!

This is a dream that is very impossible to happen, even though we said that there is a chance but this chance is very little. This is because as what I have observed the ethereum is dependent to bitcoin price.

Once the bitcoin price drop, ethereum price is also affect and once the bitcoin price rises up as you can see right now in the market. The ethereum price also follow, but no one knows what will happen in the future.
Exactly I agree on this, Ethereum price always swinging when the bitcoin price raising up. So, I think is impossible that Ethereum will bypass the price of bitcoin. Because for me Ethereum is altcoin only with bitcoin and they are a different thing with bitcoin. However, there's nothing to make any sense why we compared these two cryptocurrencies which both of them can make a profit.

According to the current market situation it is very difficult for any coins in the market to pass btc. None of coins can move without its movement. A lot things need to change to make this possible.

It's high time we stopped making such comparisons. I'm a big holder of ETH but it doesn't compete with BTC in any way. Bitcoin is coin, if bullrun occurs, bitcoin leads. If bitcoin goes down drastically, it affects the entire market. Bitcoin takes far higher market cap compared to altcoins. When it comes to tech and infrastructure, I admire Ethereum but will never compare it to the king (BTC).
Indeed, we should not compare ETH and BTC. Because as you say if bitcoin has decreased it will certainly have an impact on eth or other altcoins. So it is indeed inappropriate for us to compare. For me, I hold both because I am very sure that both crypto are good for the future.

That is right, why not let ETH and BTC work together and let bitcoin lead the cryptocurrency while ETH can give more profit to us. ETH and BTC cannot compare because the function will be different. And if we take a look at each price, there is a big gap for both coin, and besides that, ETH and BTC will have their own path.

No. I think there will not be any coin which can value more than bitcoin, even if there is a lot of development, bitcoin is more known, used more than other and accepted on a lot of places.

no i dont think so.
Bitcoin and Ethereum are at different levels.
not about price but different levels.
investors prefer to invest in bitcoin.
while ETH is a different platform that can only be juxtaposed with other altcoins.
