Why would ETH have to defeat EOS? is there a tough competition between the two? We are the ones that creates competition for these coins. And for the ethereum 2.0 for sure those scaling problems that it is facing right now will be solve. If it hasn't solved until now, why does many are still depending to ethereum because people sees that it has the potential. When 2.0 is ready, you'll see a boost to the price this usually happens to any coin now if there's a good event.
True, why not consider that most altcoins in the market is trying to compete with BTC to replace it into the top but still failed after all of these years.
Instead on making some comparing its better to cherish out possible benefits of EOS project than minding too much about on how it would beat up ETH instead.

Ethereum have very slower development since one year I am hearing the news about upgradation in the ethereum blockchain network but it doesn't going as per the schedule. Now there is news about upcoming hardfork of ethereum blockchain Constantinople which will make transaction faster and the whole system will become partly proof of stake + proof of work. On the other hand EOS raised huge amount of money from its fund raising due to good marketing plus their developers are also great with proven projects like bitshares, steemit etc. Also the number of Dapps are increasing rapidly on EOS blockchain. EOS have potential to comply with ethereum blockchain but it will not replace ethereum as ethereum is already established and most preferred by any of the new blockchain project.

I don't think anyone will win here. Ethereum has already taken its position in the world of cryptocurrencies. However, competitors are not asleep, and Ethereum needs to introduce new fiches into its network as soon as possible.
EOS is a young and very promising project, which is only at the beginning of its development. And it’s too early to talk about the same recognition of him (like Ethereum).
In the end, I would like both projects to occupy their niche in the blockchains market, and between them there would be healthy competition, the winner in which they would take turns.

At the moment, we can't say anything about this cause EOS is a very good cryptocurrency although it's just a new cryptocurrency but ETH is still the best altcoin for now although price of ETH is very terrible at the moment. Beside EOS' blockchain is also being used to develop new ICO project, maybe in the future EOS will be the winner and take the best altcoin title of ETH but it'll take really long time.

I don't think that ethereum will be able to surprise us with something. I think his time already has passed. I studied EOS technology and I like the fact that the team follows the plan and realizes that promised.

I heard a lot of news about ETH for a couple years already, like they will move from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) and else. But until now, i have yet to see it or to see them moving it from PoW to PoS, then if you are asking me about this 'news' again. i only can say that, let's them proof it first and talk it later.
also EOS is not that good either, both of them are equal. personally i like NEO way more than both of them, but NEO is more centralized other than decentralized.
(promising EOS ? nope, they got an attention from people because of their marketing, no doubt their marketing is the best compared to any cryptocurency. technical development ? average ).

First of all i do wanna know on whos Vitaly?  Grin You mean vitalik. hehe

I dont know why do people keep trying to compare ETH and EOS. Why not consider the competition of ETH and XRP on the 2nd place of the entire market?
EOS project isnt bad and gaining some popularity gradually but it do still needs some time to cope up on to the top.

Hello guys. On the previous week Vitaly founder of ethereum announced ethereum 2.0 with faster transactions and so on. Do you think our old friend ethereum can defeat a very promising EOS? Or EOS is soon going to be crypto number 2 instead of ethereum?
