Thanks for the heads up mate I think for our safety just stay away with this exchange and wait for the statement that ED will provide regarding to this concerned as we still have some doubts with their security and its better to stay safe than sorry in terms of our investment.

Heard of this already, DNS server attacks are super powerful, kudos to Etherdelta who acted quickly to let the people know what happened.

The only thing they did was to make a tweet 2 hours after 250+ ethereum was already stolen. They could've disabled their website because even after they made the tweet, hackers are still transferring eth.

Disabling their website would've done nothing. The Domain Name Server was attacked, it translates the etherdelta.com address into an IP address of a different server. You could say they should've fix the DNS, but any changes to DNS take time. And yes, maybe they only found out 2 hours late.

Oh thanks for the information. Luckily I've been busy with work and didn't get a chance to check my orders at etherdelta for past couple of days. When I tried to access the site just a little while ago, the site wasn't reachable. I am glad they disabled the access. Now I am wondering what will happen with my ether and tokens.

Those that bought coins on Etherdelta and moved them to a Ledger Nano S via MyEtherWallet... are they safe???

As long as you didn't use the site while it was compromised earlier today, I believe.

Did etherdelta give any information as far as time it would take to fix and restore their site?

Sure, but maybe it could have been prevented in the first place? Have there been more details about the attack yet?

Etherdelta has bn hacked... If you have your fund there... Do not attempt to remove them... The attackers will gain access into your wallet.. And steal all your funds

To check your current holdings on ED use https://deltabalances.github.io

It's interesting, is it connected with the fact that the entrance and display of rates on the stock exchange has been difficult for the last few days?

I did visit etherdelta today and it did log me in automatically as it usually does, but I didn't trade anything.

Just in case I used the same method as the OP to withdraw my main investment just in case and then used MEW for transfer to a safer wallet.

Stay away from Ether Delta though. There is something funny about those dudes in charge anyway. I seen them list coins on their exchange that are clear scams meant to confuse and manipulate people. A respectable exchange wouldn't list those coins.

I don't think the maintainers should be gatekeepers on a decentralized exchange. Because then you turn it into a centralized exchange. Maybe not technically, but in terms of power.

Whoever hacked this site is going to continue to drain accounts when they log into etherdelta.  Thank God I have found out it was hacked before I have visited the site. I feel sorry for the many people who were not fortunate to get the heads up on the site being hacked.  I think the word needs to go out more so that people could avoid that site until the problem has been solved.

This is a big news and great help as well, thank for share the information.
Fortunately, I haven't get into this decentralized exchanges, as there are some flaws recently.
But, I believe you can post this in Service discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=85.0) or Exchanges (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=223.0) as well to let more people knows about this problem.
