Previously, Bitcoin and Ethereum went parallel to each other, but for almost 2 years now ETH has been very far behind Bitcoin. In May 2018, Bitcoin was around $ 12,000, Ethereum was $ 800, and up to this time the balance has been severely disrupted. I believe that when Ethereum 2.0 is launched, ETH will start to catch up.

this based on the so many big news about bitcoin. more and more billionaires are starting to take crypto as a part of their consideration. Afaik if there's also a famous company in US are willing to use crypto as their investment too. if that news will come true and then crypto could worth a lot of money.

The golden era of crypto will be repeating again.

Fundamentally ETH is looking so strong to achieve this goal very soon as it is very close to that border line. After BTC it is most loved coin and so many people investing in it there is big reason the launch of 2.0 is coming closer so that I also will do agree with you very soon we will see this on the board.

We will be seeing the price go up or maybe breaking a new record of ATH for ETH this time, who knows? It's about time we will see those price listed in OP in no time. $500 or even $1000 is not impossible even though there's a lot of volatilities it's just the start of bull run. It is very positive seeing ethereum price has an increase. It touched above $400 so more likely $500-600 is very possible this year ends. But let's see what will gonna happen once upgrade will occur in ethereum.

The news about ETH2.0 to be released is false though it still in the testnet stage and the last time i checked ETH is still in the Medalla phase. However, the Beacon Chain phase need to execute next month before ETH2.0 will be released and even Beacon Chain is done 2.0 version is not totally complete.
With that been said,the previous years trend cant be used to judge the price of ETH this year cause the traffic gained this year is huge.

I think we are lucky if Ethereum cross $500 because the way this coin moving this whole 4th quarter is weak and nothing good in expecting,even the 2.0 version has been released yet no Bull effect towards ETH.

Looks like you are mistaken here eth 2.0 has NOT yet released its only a deposit contract it means you can now deposit an exact amount of 32 eth if you want to take part in staking when POS started, the expected genesis date of eth 2.0 is Dec. 01 so still its really bullish the $800 level can easily achieve even in 24 hours.

My Bad i misunderstood the Thread i read or better say i am lazy reading the whole context thats why i thought the 2.0 version was released not knowing that it is the deposit contract .
Thanks for clarification mate this helps a lot as i am also waiting for the Bullish of ETH as i have funds in mine that awaits for finally profiting .

The whole market is moving upwards now, led by bitcoin... so to a large extent what happens to ETH is determined by wider movements. I would expect the bullish sentiment to persist, and prices - including ETH - to continue to rise, as the case for crypto grows stronger against a backdrop of government bailouts and money-printing.
For ETH there is of course the move to 2.0 and staking, which will be an additional factor.. . but it's something that is known about in advance, and factored into current price considerations.
So I'd say the whole market movement is the bigger driver at the moment and for the near future.
