I just wanna talk about the rational range that can be achieved by ethereum which was around $500 - $600 and any rate other than it will quite difficult to be reached by ethereum.
The launch of ethereum 2.0 is not working so well as there's no a lot of interest to be validators in ethereum network.

It's not yet even reaching the hardcap to launch ethereum 2.0 and it seems like ethereum 2.0 will not become a game-changer for us.

Bitcoin keeps pumping its price and Ethereum is following it, $800 is a high bet but not impossible. This post was made yesterday with Ethereum price $464.03 and today sits at $472.96, I'm not saying its price will keep pumping but its clear it will break the $500 wall and the new 2.0 launch will solve a huge problem this coin has been facing for quite some time which will help with the raising price.

Ethereum is one of the few cryptocurrencies I have money invested and will keep investing on it.

ETH is just waiting at the right timing, bitcoin is already close to its ATH, if bitcoin achieved a new ATH this year, then I think ETH will also start to pump to at least close to its ATH. Once a coin is on a pump, it's hard to predict what price it will land because the FOMO is there, so $800 is not impossible, it's doable as long as bitcoin will be continue to pump.

If you are talking about a short term yes that could be bad for Ethereum for a short period of time . But why wouldn't you go long time for it ? Surely after a bitcoin pump most of money will split into altcoins and we will see a decent pump on other coins

Market always go with itself .Eth is going with the uptrend along with btc .If btc being stable we can see a huge uptrend by eth .So it will be better to hold eth for long term .Now the eth is around 466$ surely we will see at 500$ mark soon .If we buy it here short term we can still get some profit .

The $800 price prediction is a realistic value for eth though we cant be certain for how many days, weeks or months we can achieve that price.

Since most alts are not following the growth of btc, I think if we see a btc correction then alts has a chance to pump including eth. This coin is a well-established thus I can wait longer until I see an acceptable price to take profit.

We hope that ethereum will stay at a price now and not going down if bitcoin pumps again. If we check on the market, ethereum still not going down even if bitcoin now touches the $16,400 range level, so hopefully, ethereum needs more support to stay at that level. $500 seems pretty possible before the end of 2021
Going up to $500 from $460 is close to 10%

Since we are weeks away till the end of 2020
I would put $800 by perhaps Q2 2021

What time frame are we talking about?
Anyway, there's a higher chance that ETH will reach the price of $800.00 before that year end especially if the trend continues to go up but its really hard to predict the price movement on a short time frame.
