So I bought some Ethereum for £1070 a few days ago and it is now worth £1326. Would now be a good time to sell for a small profit?

I am investing more long term in Bitcoin but wanted to trade a bit on smaller coins i.e Ethereum etc.

Investment in bitcoin and ethereum is mostly one and the same. Ethereum is a altcoin, but it's not a same as like other altcoin. It had a unique features then other altcoin. The price of Ethereum itself say you the value over other altcoin. If you are not dependent of the invested money, don't withdrew that money. Just hold the ethereum till the next all time high. You will get huge portion of profit then in bitcoin.

small profit is better if run gradually. So I think right now you don't have to get big profits, if you can get small profits, I think this can be one of the ways to keep profits running at any time. so don't hesitate with small profit, keep doing your best

selling at a small profit is not a problem, because we don't have to sell at a big profit. to me a small profit from a sustainable origin seems good rather than having to be long term but a big risk, so I think it is okay and don't be afraid of small profits, wait for the candle to dim and buy when the price is low then sell at the high price.

Yes, that will be a solution for you if you want to wait for the next high price. By selling at a small amount, you still hold the biggest amount and ready to sell when the price increases. If you can get a small profit and repeat the process, your small profit will become bigger. That is why we don't need just to hold and sell, but we can buy low and sell high to profit. That will be another solution for you to profit while the price does not increase so high.

How much are you expecting profit? 2 folds/ or maybe 3? because for me practically , i will sell right away having that amount mate because that is more than 25% income already and a sure money.

Well your thoughts must change to specific percentage per trade and don't look as if Bitcoin is like Altcoin because they are much different .

Choosing long term with ethereum is also a good alternative while btc was still at stable price right now. But you're choice is somehow difficult if your don't have any other profit source or a job that will be used for your daily spending. I suggest that, when holding eth coins or any tokens associated with erc20, always secure a stable funds in order to sustain with cryptocurrency investments.

Actually back to ourselves as investors, if you really plan on short-term investments, can sell Ethereum that you have even though the profit is small.
But if from the start you wanted a long-term investment, don't sell the Ethereum you have, wait until the sell target that you specify is reached.
In my analysis Ethereum is more suitable for long-term investment, just like Bitcoin. Actually the increase in Ethereum price is not as significant
as some of the other altcoins. Therefore, my advice if you want a short-term investment is much more effective at investing in BNB or ADA.

in fact, it has happened. The adoption of the binance chain has indeed increased. for new projects, also for old projects that are migrating the chain.
regrettable, however, the current situation is detrimental to ethereum. but I believe in the future we will benefit greatly from the ethereum update. after everything is done and the problem of this transaction cost is resolved. there will be something happening in the market.
That's right, buddy, the disappointment with the high prices made by the eth platform is very annoying and has been going on for a long time. So clearly this will leave many looking for alternatives to reduce these high costs. it is not impossible for other platforms to try to bridge the anxiety of high costs, by maneuvering to be usable as well. the opportunity exists because many are trying to find alternatives.

But the information I have heard is that there will soon be an overhaul of the eth platform for high costs as soon as possible and is expected to be July. we just wait, hopefully there is still patience from those who use it.

Currently many users complain against ethereum for its ridiculous fees other than that, many new coins do not use the ethereum platform services
ethereum is getting worse and worse in terms of development, I am worried that many users will leave ethereum and invest in other coins hope that won't happen

Before you sell it, First you have to make a target in how much price that wanna earn your profit, for example you bought it in £1070,
just make a target, if you don't have goal, then you will never can sell it, at the end of the day, you won't gain any profit at all.
just to make sure you wanna make short or long-term investment.

I would recommend that you take profits with Ethereum or, for example, get your investments back and invest your profits back in ETH. I believe that you need to adhere to the basic rules of investing and always try to return your investment as soon as possible, or if you want to get the maximum profit, then you need to take risks and keep the Ethereum you bought for as long as possible in order to extract the maximum profit, but this is already a risk and this must be taken into account.

its simple, sell your ethereum now because you already got a good profit and buy bitcoin, if you only believe in bitcoin for long term investments buddy
Actually even though it is not sold right now it will not be a problem for him and he can also sell other Altcoins to buy Bitcoin which has twice reached its ATH this year, so in general both of them are very good to hold in the long term, both Ethereum and Bitcoin.
Most of the people who are not used to trading bitcoin will panic when they see a correction. that's the reason many prefer lower-value altcoins.
bigger profits might be obtained in bitcoin but when a correction occurs the big losses are there too.
to be honest I prefer to store ETH than BTC. it's not because of its value. but my ability to analyze the ETH market is better than BTC.

But with Ethereum current fees, I think his profit will just go to the gas, LOL.

For me just wait it out, let's see if Ethereum can hit another all time high in the next couple of months or days and then sell and go back to Bitcoin. Chances are, Ethereum might see a new all time high, probably $2,200 or something because we are still in the bullish phase, just saying.

the growth potential certainly exists for ethereum. it's also because there is an update 2.0 currently running and it's still in the process for quite a while.

The anticipated update helps everything around this project, just keep doing your own

research before dealing with your decisions.

but you mean short-term or long-term growth? for the short term, I think it is enough if it is profitable and it is better to get out of the market immediately.

If you are aiming for sure profits, then selling your assets from the time you are satisfied with your gains is better.

because for now, many investors are quite satisfied with the benefits obtained from ethereum. and I believe at the moment they are waiting for a correction before 2.0 is finished.

They are all waiting for another corrections to make sure to avail those

cheap coins and store it before another pumped happened..

In my opinion, everyone should decide for themselves what to do with their money, but if I had already invested money in Bitcoin, I would rather invest some money in something else and it would almost certainly be Ethereum. I think that Ethereum still has a very large growth potential and diversification of investments is always safer.
Whether it is a sufficient profit or not, it is an individual matter for each investor.
obviously what you are saying is very true, that ethereum has enormous growth potential is very true and undeniable. After bitcoin is clear ethereum is a coin choice that has the potential to be a very profitable investment. This does not mean that other altcoins are not that good, there are also many potential, because the development of altcoins is currently very advanced. some even say that this year is altcoin year.

ethereum currently still has problems that are also being discussed among crypto users because gas costs are very expensive and there has not been any change to date, ethereum is very likely to be disturbed if it does not want to improve itself, because it could be that other coins trying to replace it even though it may not be easy because ethereum is still reliable.

Ethereum is a huge volume cryptocurrency and they have number of whales in current traffic. But we don't know when it will pump or dump in cryptomarket. I think surely next couple of months it will going to forward and we know all the coins are follow the BTC way so long term investors are make more profit in crypto platform.
There are way too many whales in ETH because anyone who is willing to spend 40+ dollars on just transaction fee is a whale in my mind, I do not get anyone who is not a whale but willing to still spend that much money on just tx fee that means they are doing something wrong. So, either they are whales or they are making a mistake because it is way too much to spend that kind of money.

I have seen projects literally ask for tx fee for their airdrops as well, obviously it is a scam method but airdrops became harder to do for places because we are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars just to give people free tokens as well. I think it is clear that we should be moving away from ethereum and towards BSC because they are reaching to levels ETH never reached, we are talking about tx numbers 50% of eth but prices of 99% cheaper than ETH at the same time.
