I believe in long term investment. I can see myself investing in bitcoin and hold it for a long period. I will save my money to invest everytime i have an extra income from bounty rewards.
I think long term investment is very potential to generate a lot of profits but it will take a very long time, if we do not survive in the end we will sell coins at a low price
Although they compete for a piece of the market, I think that ethereum has very different intentions and plan other very different things when we talk about the use they give to the blockchain, practically ethereum was created to develop applications, instead bitcoin is here to be used as a currency for transactions, for that difference in objectives I think they are not direct competition.
I believe ethereum or any coin available out there is no threat to bitcoin. No matter what you say and try to justify, bitcoin is and will be the king of cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is too big and has establish a lot already to be replaced with some unknown coin. Although ethereum is good and also quite popular as well, it is still nothing compared to bitcoin.

Ethereum and bitcoin is both good investment and I think after few years maybe it will increase very high the price. So better to buy mpre ethereum and bitcoin now and hold it for few years and you will earn a lot of profit. But I think ethereum is threat for bitcoin because we know as of now they have a lot of new project are base to ethereum or erc20 and that's good to increase the price.
Some people really think that ethereum can be a threat to bitcoin, but it isn't an appropriate idea accusing with a scenario which never happens. Although most of the ethereum's platforms of new upcoming coins were an erc20 it doesn't mean bitcoin can be pulled down by these reasons. In fact eth is a strong partner of bitcoin that made the entire cryptocurrency grow for so long years and those were trading altcoins definitely gained their confidence especially holding those slow pumping coins.
My opinion on the above topic as posted on this thread, One should note that this not a Basketball Game, this is Crypto currency market, it can never compared as it was posted on the topic above, Any coins can be a Threat to each other on the market, take a look the market confidence on Bitcoin vs. Ethereum, we have different favorite or belief on the market status of this mentioned coins, Bitcoin have different features as to Ethereum, the price value is par different, we have 200$ plus on Ethereum while Bitcoin posted as of this writing at 6300$ plus.
No i think ethereum cant beat bitcoin why? they work in different ways of market and bitcoin had the bigger audience than ethereum.
Investing is preparing for the future now. It is a good opportunity for someone who has a little knowledge in short-term and much quicker way to earn, also known as trading. Although it is quite risky for the reason that it does not guarantee a gain in income as time progresses.
Anyway long term investment is something good but must continue to follow up the investment and must know when to invest.
And why should he threaten Bitcoin? This is a completely different coin with different goals, mission and technology. They both have the right to exist.
there is no real thing as a guid to long term investment in cryptoworld.. u can't be sure in it.. all works on day to day judgment of making better decisions.. if u keep urself updated on daily basis u will more likely stay in touch with the latest news and will b in a better position ot make profitable decisions else u'll blow ur investment..
Also investing in bitcoin and wait for long will surely give you a high amount of profit.

In long term investment i would probably invest in bitcoin. It have a potential to grow more.
Long term investing is profitable if the coins that we hold are good with a good potential. I am holding Bitcoin, Ethreum, NEO and Litecoin. These four are very good and very promising as well.
For me i kinda prefer for short term investment. Although long term investment has potential to multiple you money or coins. But when the short term investment you can easyly investment and sell and do again and again for just a short time. So dont have to wait for a long term.
Of course Bitcoin is the best for long-term investment, but we should not invest in Bitcoin only. Ethereum and NEO are very good options as well.

Each of the two currencies has its pros and cons. I can not say that they pose a threat to each other. I think each of them has occupied its niche and does not interfere with the other.
long-term investment is great for a better future life with the assets we have and will benefit greatly in the future but with an investment note only on coins that have excellent potential for the future and will continue to increase prices. so I prefer to invest only on bitcoin and ethereum for the long term, both coins are undoubtedly by the growth of its value.
