ETH is the best coin in my portfolio. It will bring me around 1200% profit if I will sell my holdings now.
How do you know the potential profit from a trade you're not even going to make? And why is ETH the best? Isn't bitcoin better anyway? And what about Monero? It is also quite stable and successful. I think we can only say that ETH is among the best altcoins. And it does have it's advantages like the programmable code and fast transactions, so it's more flexible than other currencies. And it is also not only the currency but a platform which can be used for many other things.

I totally believe in Eth's future because there so many organization behind to support it. They can make it brilliant by the time and when BTC going to be stable in its price, ETH will break out I think

I don't believe in eth as an alt. As for a distributed app platform the technology is interesting, but as for an alt, no.

What's an "alt"?

Alternative to Bitcoin?

Ethereum is a replacement for Bitcoin. It learned from Bitcoin's mistakes and re-architected something better.

In terms of value store, Ethereum matches Bitcoin for security/ease-of-use/etc.

In terms of value transfer, Ethereum is: faster, cheaper, more reliable, more energy efficient.

In terms of value programability, Ethereum is years ahead.

Bitcoin is a 2D blockchain technology that's getting old, is slow and expensive. Ethereum is a lightweight 3D (value store, value transfer and value programability) blockchain for the future.

I repeat myself. I do not consider Eth as a coin at all. It is an interesting technology with the smart contract concept. As a coin it totally lost its credibility after the fork.

ETH is a good coin, one of the best, it has been forked but it maintained it's endurance over the market pressure in the cryptoworld, over the years it remains on it's good position, though the price changes but still having a reliable market, i can say it's one of the reliable coin in line with BTC, INSANE TRUMP and the others.

Ethereum has all the properties Bitcoin wished it had. This is because the Ethereum devs came after and learned from Bitcoin's mistakes. Bitcoin had an important part in the blockchain history... but that is all it is... history...

eth has proved itself to have good value. it dip to 8$ months ago but look at it now. its $15 each. if you have invested during the time when it dip to $8, you could have almost doubled your investment. ETH and XMR and DASH can be a good alt so long as its being used and has purpose.

The ETH is one of the best altcoins. It has good development team.

Ethereum tokens are not "alt" to Bitcoin.

Assuming Bitcoin dominance could well be your downfall.

On what planet do you guys live ? Get some ETH while still cheap.

And to the idiot above me: Ethereum is centrally planned and developed, and that is normal. Are you stupid enough to think people outside the ecosystem should have a say in it's development and future ?
Being centrally planned and developed is normal, otherwise it would be chaos. Do not mystake that with centralization ( what bitcoin currently experiences).
There HAS to be corporate interests, that's the whole point of it. You'd expect random average people to build dapps to do what ? Random average people don't have money to create and sustain such ecosystem beyond the simple use as cryptocurrency ( what bitcoin currently aiming to be ).

I personally don't like the fact that ETH is very centrally controlled and is full of corporate interests, but at the same time I hold a sh*tload of it because that central control and corporate interest means it will almost certainly go up in price substantially (I'm betting on $50).

Hi everyone, I've been around for a while now..
I've seen a lot of posts positive and negative about Ethereum.

At the moment I am holding Bitcoins, but I have invested in some Ether as well.

Now I am wondering, what are legitimate concerns about Ether (except for IPO, as I've already read this in a lot of posts).

So can anyone bring real other issues to the table, to enlighten me (and maybe a lot of other readers?)

Thanks!

Ethereum I say its good because the value is at ease and nothing change only the projects is slowing move but it is still moving in progress. and criticizer of ethereum is just a part of ethereum success in the near future.

I think a lot of projects are gone quiet. More testing and security. Early launch with a code oversight could be a disaster.

The security is more important.

The only thing about ETH that gives me hope for future pumps is that it's somehow backed by big pockets, big brands are behind, for some reason they want it to succeed.

But I don't trust it long term because it's going to screw up again in a hard fork or another DAO fiasco.

There are some big owners of Ethereum. They will want it to succeed.

they will help developing the coin.

Slow move could be good if the software is tested properly before the release. Stability is more important.
