I use ethereum as payment when btc transaction are stuck unconfirmed.
I think BTC need to fix its transaction on blockchain due to the demand of people want to buy btc - fiat

Is ethereum going to be next bitcoin?
Bitcoin cannot be replace by any coins. It is the base of all coins in cryptocurrencies so there is no chance that any coins can replace the main one. I agree that Ethereum has a great future ahead but I can't agree that it could replace the Bitcoin. Ethereum is popular and Bitcoin is much more popular. 
I think Ethereum will never die, Ethereum will have a great future, Ethereum ERC20 Platform is also very in demand and crowded in use in ICO or new project
I believe that value of ETH will grow more in near future. However, if we say that ETH will replace bitcoin...hmmm...I think it'll be not. Both of them have their own advantages and people might select what they really need from them. For me, I will keep bitcoin as saving amount and use ETH to exchange with altcoin 
Yes i also think that you are saying it right and in the industry right now ethereum is now making their way to the top and being the best altcoin in the industry right now
Ethereum is the basis of many projects. Ethereum responds to all kinds of needs. Ethereum is always solid
Eth is another altcoin and just as other of its kind it has the potential to gain more value. But still, the applicability of bitcoin so as its exponential growth right now distinguishes it from other cryptos. Eth has potential but it's hard to tell if it can replace bitcoin as the future of crypt.
I think it's impossible to predict this. Nobody knows what will happen to all crypto-currencies even in a year! You can judge and compare these most popular coins, only for the moment! The fact that Ethereum takes quite a certain place in the market of crypto currency is a fact.
With all indications I think there are chances of ethereum being the future of cryptocurrency. Having said that, bitcoin is still on fire and gaining momentum everyday I think ethereum still have a lot to attain that feet.
Ethereum still has some issues that need to be solved. Although the price is increasing, in order to be successful in the future, these problems should be tackled first. The team should not come with excuses that they know about the problems, but that they'll wait till the upgrade. Solve the problems, so we don't lose faith in Ethereum.
But I'm wondering, how can bifurcation affect the ETH that were predicted? Perhaps this is an opportunity to strengthen the Ethereum .

Ethereum is a rising star of the cryptocurrency world. It has quickly the second largest digital currency in just over two years. At the speed at which the price of etherum has increased in the last month, the future of ethereum will shine like the moon.
Etherium has its own part, which in the future will be big. But from here to replace Bitcoin i think it will be very difficult.
Calling Ethereum the next Bitcoin would not be so correct but I think that Ethereum is going to the king of Altcoins. Bitcoin will always stay 1 step ahead from Ethereum because market cap of $ 280 billions is the reason that people believe in Bitcoin and it's the investors first priority. Ethereum is highly demanded as well in it's own way. There is no doubt in the sophistication of this coin and the fact that many ICOs launch on Ethereum blockchain is the reason that this coin will be very demanded and high value in future. Ethereum has showed significant price increase and it will increase in future as well.

It can be with the right push and guidance by the devs and community. Ethereum will reach $1K soon, but then what? Will it rise even further? That's the question we need to ponder on.
There are other coins too that have high potential, like Ripple, Waves and Bitcoin Cash.
We all need to keep an eye on these altcoins.
