We have seen ETH going up and down so many time. Now do you think ETH is officially dead, why do you think so?
i dont know what reasons you say ethereum dead. But if you think up and down market means dead than all the coins are dead and even market stock are dead. Please think what you want to say before make a post about it cause ethereum is a good one and i think they are still doing good and also there is no reasond to say ethereum is dead.

if you put the question so incompetently then apparently you are a beginner and do not yet understand the importance of cryptocurrencies and Ethereum in particular. The world is moving towards a digital economy in which cryptocurrencies will play a major role and at the moment the main question is who will first solve the problem of network scalability. Think for a moment about the Ethereum capitalization do you think that with such huge resources Ethereum will be able to lose this race?

So you are saying that it is officially dead.
Does that mean you are an official spokesperson of the Ethereum foundation and have the authority to declare that the platform will shut down and nodes ceasing to operate?

Seems a bit silly when I put it that way but you need to be very careful with the words you use.
Saying something like that can make you write off a project that is already incredibly strong and will only get stronger in the future.

People have been claiming that btc is officially dead for 9 years now.
Since eth is looking to surpass btc as the foundation of the crypto market, now people are targeting eth.
It is nonsensical and has no correlation to wise trading decisions backed by data.

Rather than gather people's opinions from bitcointalk, try crunching numbers and correlate them with developments like a real investor.

Go up and down is the inevitable rule of the market. If any coins is stable at one price, this coins is really dead, because there had not the selling, buying and transfer this coin  Roll Eyes

Yes the price of eth is in rise and fall but it doesnt mean its dead already ,,for me as long as theres an ICO then Eth would continue its existence,ETHereum is a unique coin and has a strong potential to grow and i know it will not easily be dead, everyday investors of eth is fast increasing, meaning its getting more popular now.

Ethereum will only be dead once all the companies that uses the Ethereum blockchain for their tokens will also perish and investor confidence with the coin will wane. Then that would be the only time that Ethereum will be dead.

As you said, ETH has fluctuated many times, like bitcoin, and every time it is able to return to the normal price, or even higher, that explains its value.

It is very hard for this medium to retain on a constant value for a very long time for the reason of there are a lot of people who will decide to invest and to pull out their investment every single day, but fluctuation is not an indication of being dead but rather a sign that eth is alive and kicking.

The fall in cost does not imply that the coin has kicked the bucket. The crypto advertise is extremely unpredictable and we should treat it tranquilly. Ether is an extremely solid task and it can not bite the dust so quick.

You cannot make such statement in difficult moments. All the market is down but does not mean that is if ‘officially’ dead. Also, you need to prove and reference what you say. Once you cite from Vitalik, then I will believe you. Nice attempted fud.

It's normal in crypto for the price to rise and fall. Ethereum can't be dead. Knowing that Ethereum is very popular now, it's gonna rise back up and recover up to $500 and hopefully pump up further the next coming days, possibly reach $1000 by the end of the year 2018. Just stay optimistic!

I really wish Ethereum would have some sort of system of auditing what can be made into a token on their platform because some of this stuff is ridiculous.   There are lots of people right behind them who only need just a bit more adoption to really eat into Ethereum's market cap.   I sold 90% of my position in the run-up and am hesitant to take most of my position back.   Ethereum will never go away, but I think if they're gonna see north of 4 figures again any time soon, they may need some repositioning.

Ethereum prices are normal things. I believe that they will rise in the near future. I will remain optimistic and continue to hold my Ethereum..

I in 2018 do not hope to see the price of the Ethereum above $ 1000. I think that Bitcoin will take away part of the Ethereum Domination.

Not a single person in this forum can seriously believe and express that Ethereum is dead. It is more alive than ever. The question is not worth asking for a multibillion dollar network.
I am a holder of a lot of ethereum and i am confident that ethereum is not dead and how ethereum will die? It is the best altcoins and it has also a big chance to rise it's value like the value of bitcoin so the best thing we can do is to just trust our ethereum.

The one who made this post probably has nothing good in his life to do or probably posted this just for the sake of posting this. It's a very stupid statement to make. It doesn't even make sense. Market fluctuations are normal. If you don't know that you probably are not fit to be here.
Why did you ask that kind of question? No offense, but I think you're completely understand the life of cryptocurrency. It is normal that crypto pumps and dumps from time to time just like ethereum and the other coins. You should analyze better and right. Ethereum is not officially dead. It will recover soon.
