- 72M premined
- centralized
- still not updated to POS which is needed to work as it is advertised
- most 99.9999% don`t even understand it at all but they hype it with no moral ground

ETH concept HAS nothing in common with Bitcoin at all!

If the PoW mining finishes two years after the start, the premined coins will be diluted. I hope PoW can last longer.

I also hope so. The PoW can set a floor price of the coin. But the constant money issuing rate will limit the price rise.

being loyal to bitcoin made this people go with it even with some issues.
Later, these people will also burn once they see that even ETH has gradually earned trust of businesses, they will still refrain from moving on.

I agree with this. I mine the Etheruem, I sell most of the Ethereum for bitcoin. But I still keep some just in case it becomes popular.

That is good trading strategy. The bitcoin will always the no 1 coin. But the Etheruem could also be popular.

The Ethereum price will rise against the fiat, but it might not rise against the bitcoin. So far, it reached another dollar ATH, but not bitcoin ATH.

The time has changed and we have to adopt it to survive this cruel crypto-currency world. Bitcoin is the present  of crypto and it will be used widely on the internet. Ethereum is a new generation project and it has bright future. Now let's support both of them instead of comparing them. They have different usage fields.

That's also what I think. They're two different beasts.

There is much space in the cryptocurrency market for:
- a solution optimized for smart contracts (Ethereum)
- a solution optimized for medium-to-large standard payments (Bitcoin)

Both use cases have different requirements and consequences, for example, regarding scalability. So there may be never a "catch-all" cryptocurrency. A diverse market is also better to experiment with various solutions.

There is even more space, for example, for a micropayments-optimized solution (Iota, maybe? Nxt 2.0 childchains? Or something totally unknown for now?). I expect that in some years we will see about 5 to 10 leading cryptocurrencies with different security mechanisms and different applications.

I think Ethereum could also be a currency. It can be used to buy things such as the DAO token or smart contract.

Its impossible that ethereum will be future of crypto.. bitcoin will stay remain and never replace.. so i think its not

The bitcoin will always be the major currency. It is built as a currency and it is the most popular currency.

I also think bitcoin and Ethereum is different. The Etheruem is application money, so we need to find use for it.

They could be complementry. I will hold both bitcoin and Etheruem. Each for its own unique applications.

so far the future of crypto has been only pump and dumped many times and all the 14 pages of this topic is filled with brand new users who are saying eth is king like the comment above me!

The Ethereum is just two years old if you consider its IPO in 2014. But it is growing very fast, with some potential.

Yes, we should give Ethereum some chance to prove itself. Its market cap grows faster than the bitcoin at the same stage.

Why you all cycled on the scamcoin like ethereum?

I do not think it is a scam coin. It is supported by a big community and it is being developed actively.

it might not be a scam coin but it is not supported by a big community.

don't mistake a big volume and a huge market cap with support. all those numbers only mean one thing: pump and dump

Market cap is a good indication of the popularity of the coin. For example, the bitcoin has $8 billion market cap.

At present, there are more strong supporters for bitcoin and Etheruem than most of digital currencies.
