Bitcoin is the future of money. It is not right to compare ethereum with bitcoin. Bitcoin is still the boss and king in the crypto currency market. Hopefully bitcoin will survive for a long run. But ethereum has also a bright future.

Ethereum is without a doubt one of the OG's within the crypto-currency market because it took the essence of bitcoin and blockchain technology and took it a step further in the form of smart contracts therefore you can call it a pioneer in this regard. The ICO boom in 2017 saw the Ethereum price going to the moon as most ICO's wanted to associate themselves with Bitcoin 2.0. This was a massive advantage at the time, but as there was a huge wave of fraudulent ICO's it is hurting the whole market currently and the one taking the full brunt of it is Ethereum as it was the go to platform during the ICO boom of late 2017. The price is low right now because of this and also because of the fork that is supposed to have happened a few days ago got delayed due to bugs. It has its hiccups but it still has plenty of opportunities to gain value, and I believe that this will come along with new innovations and solutions that should come with the new fork. Hopefully.

$83 was certainly a low point and ETH looked really under-priced there compared to BTC. However we must remember that the bear market is not over, so we may see further drops. I do think for ETH though that we have now seen the low point vs BTC, and it will now rise vs BTC although it may still fall in dollar terms.

Well ethereum is a king next to bitcoin of course. For now, bitcoin has the highest market cap volume recorded on coinmarketcap.com. Now, Ethereum has been stabilized for a bit. This may not be a good indicator for a crypto that has low market price volatility. It means that fewer and fewer users has been using the platform especially in trading. I do not know if it is appropriate to call it the king of altcoins but there are definitely many altcoins that depend on ethereum and I have no doubt that eventually ethereum will recover, the greatest issue is that we cannot really predict accurately when that will happen so the only choice for someone like me is to keep holding my ethereum and wait for the recovery to happen.
