I thought about switching some more BTC to ETH about a month ago. Kind of wish I had done now but was put off by the number of competing products that are coming into play.
Yeah I think its most likely to happen. We are seeing a lot of investors trying ETH right now. There are many problems in bitcoin and they are now switching their assets.
I think that Ethereum will reach about $ 10,000 this year is absolutely achievable. The market is recovering after difficult days. I believe in Ethereum because it brings with it the technology of the future with the leading technology platform, backed by Vitalik genius and a huge support community. You probably already know that Ethereum is coin that has the most practical applications to date. That's why I'm very confident Ethereum can do much this year.
No way. $10000 is really a big number for ETH. it is a slow growth coin. it need more time to development. Maybe 3 or 5 years to get that target
Ethereum is growing very fast recently so i think it needn't 3 or 5 years to reach $10k even the price of Ethereum can quite reach $5000 in 2018. In fact, many coins which have smart contract, is going up very fast like NEO, Waves... Ethereum is first altcoin have smart contract technology and it's leader in the field so i think we can believe Ethereum will be second coin after bitcoin reach $10k
This could happen in the ongoing year, because more support has been gained by ethereum over various other altcoins with its unique platform which has been serving as base for more projects. Already the price has been found around the $1200, so by the end of first quarter of the year $5000 could be easily reached.
There is slight probability but I'm not taking it serious.
At least there should be some conditions met:
1. Eth should integrate Raiden and some distributed FS to have cheap and fast transactions and ability to store large docs on blockchain
2. It should actually incorporate with some large corporation or even government of some country
3. It shouldn't be hacked during this time

Efirium as for me will not rise to 10,000 to him even 5000 will be difficult to take, but this is my personal opinion of 3000-4000 about as much as he can take
What was Ethereum price in January 1,though never say never but if the price of Ethereum hit $10k then it is going to take the position of BTC on CMC by then, because if BTC do 10x its price will be above $100k by the end of the year

That depends on many factors, and most important of them is development strategy. Ethereum team now seems to be more flexible and ready to implement new features. Imagine that tomorrow Ethereum foundation announce switch to Bitcoin emission model with only few million ETH remaining to mine, the rate will skyrocket to the moon in the same day.

I also hope that this year ETHER will become very expensive and will reach 5,000 dollars. It seems to me that for such a strong project this price is achievable.

I doubt ETH hits $5K to $10K. However, I feel that ETH will 5X-10X before Bitcoin does...
If you look at the chart of ETH/BTC on the log scale you will notice that it is in a long term channel. This channel has Ethereum reaching 0.4-0.5 BTC in the first half of this year reaching somewhere in the neighborhood of $5000. It sounds crazy but lets not forget that it also went from $10 to $800 in a single year. Also, there's a ton of catalysts with futures/ETF, casper, raiden, plasma, sharding, and the first gen dApps coming online.

at the end of 2018 close to 2k $ is my expectation, but who knows what will happen in 2018.
It is always good to aim high. I personally think Ethereum might reach 5000usd in 2018 but not 10000usd because it is too high for 2018 unless they have partner with an very big company in 2018. Anyway 2018 will be great for Ethereum thanks to the Proof of stake fork and Ethereum 2.0. Right now Ethereum almost hit 1000usd so it is not far from 5000usd. Ethereum still have a lot of room to grow
What would transfer fees be if eth was 10k? Would it kill Ethereum?
Ethereum price at this time is $800 and this coin I think this year will increase more and possible to become $1000 this month so $5000 this year is possible also but we don't know what month but the percentage is possible to happen is very high but they have possible we don't see that if many people sell their ethereum but I hope it will increase more and many investor will invest to ethereum.

I'm not sure about that mate,, If we see ETH price pattern this 2-3 months, I think $2000-3000 is the number that we can hope for to be relistic... $10.000 is way too much ~
