I do not see Ethereum overtaking bitcoin happening any time soon, if it would ever happen at all. Ethereum would keep developing as we can see commitment to this by Ethereum community. But Ethereum replacing bitcoin would only be in our dreams.
This is my thought process too. Yes it is true that ethereum is growing rapidly and has so far managed to secure its place in the crypotcurrency market and being second only to bitcoin but with that being said, I don't see ethereum overtaking bitcoin because if ethereum is growing then that just means bitcoin is growing too so ethereum is just following suit

Anyone hope that thing happen but btc everyday increase its popularity you may think eth will compete it? it is possible if btc have an issue that damaging investors so eth will replace btc or maybe killed it.

I agree bitcoin will be number 1 cryptocurrency for lifetime and no one can dethrone btc in the future because btc is a strong coin that can dominate the market.

I believe that eth will overtake btc soon, however i wil still hold on to some btc firstly to diversify mu portfolio secondly eth will takeover btc is merely our opinion even there is some facts showing this claim have more than 90% posibility but market is still unpredictable so just unload some and retain some is a better option.
