Don't panic. I believe Bitcoin will not leave the scene because too much money envolved. It's very unlikely that major stakeholders would decide to get rid of this currensy.
I think ETH is unlikely to be able to take over the BTC position because BTC has proved superior and safer to use, if that happens takes a very long time.

Bitcoin and Ethereum have the different mission. Bitcoin mission is going to be main currency. And Ethereum provide the platform for business. So if you want to talk about the price, you have to talk about the currency. The price symbolizes the value of currency. And Bitcoin has fulfilled its mission of becoming a trading currency. Bitcoin is more suitable for trading than ETH. Ethereum doesn’t focus on value in currency. They’re not in the same race. So ETH won't have opportunities to overtake the BTC.

There are totally 0 chances for ETH to assume control BTC. After all these ICO's cooldown the marketcap of Ethereum will drop down significantly. It's not even the best stage for tokens any longer, the blockchain always gets stopped up. There are far superior stages for tokens these days and individuals will make sense of that soon. Go do some exploration before discussing things that you have no idea about.

I don't doubt it that someday ethereum will overpass bitcoin based on their value and on their profitability. Ethereum possess a good performance in the market today where the time today is considered as the downfall of cryptocurrency value. But then Ethereum manage to get a green mark in the market though some are didn't have the same potential.
Maybe somewhere in 2020+ years? Then yes, but so far the industry is so that bitcoin will be difficult to push from the first place and fight for its price tag.

It is Ethereum not Etherium, and it is possible for Ethereum to surpass Bitcoin, but it needs more time, Ethereum community believe in its chance to be number one in crypto, however we can not ignore the impact of Bitcoin on crypto. 
I think the ethereum has every chance to replace Bitcoin in the future. Smart contracts are written on it, make ICOs and resolve the issue of scaling. In general from all points of view it has more potential as a valuable asset. Of course ethereum will reach 10K in the future. May be 20K or 30K.
It can possibly be happen that ETH will overtake Bitcoin in terms of using Dapp on top of ethereum blockchain. As more ICO will happen on ETH blockchain the more use case will come up and ETH will clime to high. However, in my opinion this need much time, may be later next year.
