In my opinion, It is possible that Bitcoin will soon overtaken by some Altcoins, because some coins have a potential to pump more and even pars Bitcoin's price but for Ethereum it is also possible but not this month and we cannot speculate when but Bitcoin is not forever being hailed as the number one cryptocurrency in the market but I think soon or later...
I don't think this is a possibility, because Ethereum's currency price has always been followed by Bitcoin's currency price, and Ethereum's price is very different from Bitcoin's price, so I don't think Ethereum can overtake Bitcoin. .
Due to the condition of the crypto market today I'm sure that ethereum will still find it hard to overtake bitcoin as of now. Though bitcoins market value is very volatile as of this moment still the bitcoin is still the most leading crypto currency which has the highest market value and with that being said ethereum will still remain second to bitcoin as it also experience the volatility of its own market value.
Of course everything is possible in crypto world ,but my opinion is that bitcoin will always be in the first place , eperium certainly a good currency but I don't think we should compare bitcoin and etherium , they have quite different price and popularity .
I dont think so Ethereum will take over Bitcoin as we know Bitcoin is the number 1 coin in digital currencies and its very popular maybe bch will take over Bitcoin because its price is stable. We do have many speculation but we cant predict the value of the coin because it will always depend in useful of the coin.

seeing the declining Ethereum will be very difficult to take over such a powerful Bitcoin. so it takes a lot of effort for Ethereum to take over Bitcoin. and should continue to show improvement. 
Etherium and bitcoin are different coins. People more use etherium for transactions, bitcoin for investing and savings. So nobody needs etherium to bit bitcoin.
I don't believe Ethereum will ever cost as much as bitcoin. If bitcoin falls-this is the only opportunity. After all, the ether does not have such support and it is unlikely that it will grow to 3-4 thousand dollars.

It is quite impossible but still doesn't a close possibility, thus returning to each are willing to invest in the ethereum or not, if you want then could have these coins will continue to evolve and may exceed the bitcoin.
I think there is no chance for this to happen, ethereum right now have the most stable price among other altcoins but there is still a time when the price dropped.

Yeah although eth is a really high potential coin and some of its features are even better than that of bitcoin but it does not mean ethereum can not overtake bitcoin because keadan its now very opposite the price of bitcoin current continues to fall to 15% while ethereum every day there is always a good price though slowly then it is possible only ethereum can be the top if bitcoin prices continue to fall. 
It seems that it will not be possible because bitcoin has a greater potential than ethereum. If you think it will happen it seems impossible. It is true that ethereum also has great potential but certainly not as big as bitcoin. And also bitcoin is the mother of cryptocurrency so it's hard to make it happen.

It would be nice if the Etherium was a crypto currency number 1! But I really do not believe it! Bitcoin father of all crypto currency will remain!
I think no it's not. Of course bitcoin is falling, but after some time he will hit up again. Like when he's price was about ~15k$ at the Christmas.
I think its just a question of time until bitcoin will overtake by ethereu. Bitcoin is jsut a cryptocurrencies who could be used to pay. But the ethereum blcokchain is totally something new. It was the first blockchain who supports creating smartcontracts. ANd many projects already using the smart contracts. Theres a lot of projects who are created on the ethereum blockchain and have real use case. SO in future it will surte overtake bitcoin when many companies will use it too.
Ethereum will take over bitcoin, I think it is impossible because bitcoin is the father of other coins .. Ethereum is only used as an ICO payer and takes a long time to earn big profits and that too if ICO is not a scam .. and bitcoin remains the highest price and becomes the benchmark between the other coins and the Ethereum can only compete with it.
