Ethereum does have the potential to overtake Bitcoin. so Ethereum can easily overtake Bitcoin. with a gradual and uniform development, Ethereum can easily control the market. besides Bitcoin in recent weeks has decreased.

i don't think so . bitcoin is the beginning of all cryptocurrencies . it is far more famous than ethereum . bitcoin is nine years old , and for nine years it has is a necessary condition as a currency . the ethersquare is a good coin. but its network is clogged , the cost of transfer is too high , and expansion is a problem , and if you use the ethersquare more on a larger scale , these will become a serious constraint .

i don't think it will happen, ETH can't overtake BTC as the top 1 of cryptocurrency in the near future, because the price itself is very low right now, i don't know why, but if you're saying about 2020 or 2021 it might be happen
Seeing the current state of Ethereum, I wouldn't bet on that. Other altcoins have way more potential and innovation than this one, it's just a matter of time before Eth gets caught up imo.
that is a difficult thing because the history is very far away and it has not allowed ETH in these years to take over the position of BTC as the number 1 crypto currency, which I see ETH is undergoing a good change but to reach the BTC is very time-literate and the old work that can really be at stake. therefore only time will answer it all, until now ETH is not the time to be number 1.

In my opinion, this will not happen soon, ETH is not yet ready to create a great deal of competition for the BTC, but it develops, but to become 1 still needs a lot of work.
Everything is possible and might ethereum will get a chance to overtake the bitcoin, ethereum itself a widely use platform that probably will have a huge impact in crypto industry.
Unfortunately the possibility is small and seems not yet realized until now. That possibility exists but very small and seems to be very difficult to beat bitcoin.
ETH handles several thousand transactions per second. XRP handles 14,000 transactions per second. This is a worthwhile investment. It will meet future needs.

ETH is a strong coin, but it will not overtake Bitcoin.Etherium has a very big threat. As it is the main platform for most ICOs, all projects withdraw fiat throw ETH, what influence its price negatively.
But Bitcoin is a basis for all crypto world, so it will not desapear, or lose its positions. May be in future, but not now.

for this moment, ETH is the most acceptable currency to invest on ICOs. around 95% ICOs that i've learnt, they are only accepting ETH and some of them are accepting USD as well. Just a few of ICO companies are accepting BTC

4 months has passed after you posted this and we see no signs of this happening. Even if this happens, it will take at least 10 years or more. We may have no crypto by then.
For me no one can predict the price of these two because their price gets high and low everyday bitcoin turn into huge price but gets low and ethereum gets high price but it gets low again for that case no one knows who can overtake each other.
It's a lot easier than you think. To these two tokens very much attention and those fluctuations which occur in the market, they are doubly affected. And in fact, and predict nothing. Bitcoin has taken its niche and is not particularly in a hurry to make changes to the project. But Ethereum is trying to reach new heights. Will pass if the Ethereum bitcoin, Yes. If bitcoin will continue to behave in the same way as now. 
I fully agree with you that Ethereum will overtake bitcoin. But also I have suspicions that there will be altcoins that are much better to take place in the ranking and value
Whether it will happen or not, what I like to see is a growing market, actually bitcoin and ETH are not competing because they have their own usefulness and there is a big market here in crypto, people can invest on coin that they believe will increase its value in the future and most of
them will surely choose those coins which are already established like ETH and BTC.

Bitcoin is the king of coins, in my opinion, it is very difficult to overtake Bitcoin.

I don't think so Ethereum cannot surpass Bitcoin because there are lots of Crypto Currencies out there are more better than Ethereum and as of now we cannot tell if which crypto currency can beat Bitcoin in the future there are more things to be considered first before that happen.
