ethereum seemed like the best alternative and promising coin compared to bitcoin before, however, it looks like it has become same old currency like bitcoin. yes they are both powerful but there are lots of promising and easy transferable coins out there.
My opinion is that Ethereum will never be valued as high as Bitcoin. And ETH won't overtake BTC in all case.
I depends on the application of technology that Eth brings in itself. Eth will reach bitcoin and replace bitcoin if it really cater for the future demand of the world

I think not. Ethereum will not overtake Bitcoin in next future. Because Ethereum is an advancement based on the principle of blockchain that supports bitcoin but with a purpose that does not compete with Bitcoin. Ethereum take support with Bitcoin. But Bitcoin only a coin that the head of all the altcoin for all time.
It can but I don't think its going to happen. Bitcoin is N1 for a long time and no-one knows whats going to happen after after total supply will be circulating
Anything is possible even ethereum and bitcoin could be replaced by other coins that came from below. This is all about the markets responses, if the market responses good for the project then it could be rise and rise.
this will be possible only is bitcoin fall to $1k then ether can hit the boom get past bitcoin and seat as number in chief of crypto.

I don't really think that Etherium will be able to overtake Bitcoin.... Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrency and bitcoin is the founding pillars of cryptocurrency it had already existed before the cryptocurrency craze and it is still remains. Etherium however had been replaced by ripple in the second place but it was able to take back its position in the second place... so with that being said, Etherium will just remain in the second place or lower but it could never replaced the first place where the Bitcoin stands unchallenged.
I doubt ethereum can overtake bitcoin. Maybe it can reach what bitcoin attain but it will never surely surpass the bitcoin’s price has. Maybe theres a possibility Eth can overtake bitcoin if the so-called Bitcoin Bubble theory will happen,hoping will not probably since as we observe right now btc is somehow stabilizing. 
I think this will happen anytime in the future. Bitcoin will always be in the first place in the world of cryptocurrency. Actual bitcoin as talking will always have more confidence compared to other coins and especially ETH. This belief will continue to build more investors and crypto fans to support bitcoin that leads to the final investment into bitcoin.
I just assume Ethereum as altcoin very successful among other altcoin. Until now I have not seen any other altcoin that can beat Ethereum. And I think to overtake the bitcoin it is very unlikely to happen. Bitcoin is the first very popular cryptocurrency and has a high value. If Ethereum wants to overtake bitcoin at least be able to beat the value and popularity first.

it's impossible ethereum can be replace bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king and the volume on the market crypto is huge.

I have heard that 80 percent of the people who entered the market in the last period did not trade with bitcoin. new block chains finish bitcoin trend. but the lead of the bitcoin will continue for a long time.

Eth Is starting to gain ground again, perhaps it will be back to the .1 ratio again soon.
I think that ETH will always remain in second place after bitcoin. This is a strong project, but bitcoin is a leader and people trust bitcoin. ETH can not beat bitcoins.
