I think it ll overtake because of large amount of coins, but how long it ll take and how long ETH will stay as first in cryptocurrency I dont know but i think it ll happen once at least
Maybe it can be its normal that it can be, but I think that after short time again bitcoin will overtake everyone not just ethereum, if one coin is gonna overtake btc it ll not go long time btc will pass it again.
Nobody can know this but, it can be because coin supply of Ethereum right now doesnt have any limit so Ethereum every day increasin with price also with coins and it make very big market cap for ethereum.
I think it is quite possible in terms of market cap. Maybe just not this year. A double price increase in ETH would surpass bitcoin market cap and it only needs to add $800 on ETH price, making it $1600 something. We have seen such increases many times for many tokens. I think it is possible with hype.
I think ethereum until whenever will not be able to overtake bitcoin. in its history ethereum has never penetrated 50% of the bitcoin price. it seems that ethereum and bitcoin are closely related. so they can not drop each other against the other.

There are no certainties in cryptocurrencies. But I agree with you, I believe Ethereum will have the biggest market cap of the two in the end of the year. Even though that is the case, I do not think that is a reason to sell all holdings of Bitcoins. Even though Ethereum becomes bigger, this does NOT mean that Bitcoin will disappear, and Bitcoin will still be able to make new ATH's!
Ethereum is second popular digital currency in crypto,actually success of any currency behind a competitive team and luckily etherum have which prov to that they have done.While to overcome Bitcoin need more home work,more effort and work in to create awareness of etherum because less people know about etherum.
Bitcoin is king all cryptocurrecny but ETH is not bad It's good because Both are still growing popularity as it has been around for a long time. I thing that it is better to have today for us to have a great future. But ETH will not overtake bitcoin.
It is quite possible that Ethereum may overtake Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin has a network greater than any other cryptocurrency, it does not support the number of Altcoins as Ethereum. Furthermore, the current drop in Bitcoin has decreased its value to nearly half while the loss in value in Ethereum is not on that level. As the network of Ethereum expands using altcoins, Ethereum will pass value of Bitcoin
We can not ascertain whether the bitcoin will be below ethereum because we see the development so far is very high ethereum price, but bitcoin so also experience the same thing. I am sure ethereum can not beat bitcoin.

Ethereum is the best altcoin but i dont think that it has chance to overtake bitcoin because bitcoin is the best cryptpcurrency among the rest and for me the future of bitcoin is more bright over than ethereum.

ETH is the foundation of the crypto market and it's not even a matter of price, although in the near future I see that the price of the ether to bitcoin should grow to 0.3 ETH!
I agree with you! Overtake BTC just can not, but at 0.4 -0.6 ETH can!

Maybe it could come true , but I don't think it could happen in 2018. It's hard to say ETH will overtake Bitcoin .ETH will be grab the second place only in the crypto market. Bitcoin which is mined at the early time still hold by the miners who have done that time. They are the people still holding the bitcoin marketplace growth in their hand for long time.Ethereum will only overtake Bitcoin when more or most mainstream merchants in large number begin to accept it as medium for exchange of goods and services not when it is only used in ICO's.
Until Ethereum fixed its total supply coin, Ethereum can not overtake Bitcoin. Ethereum has good technology, even, I can say it is the best technology just after blockchain of Bitcoin.
