Haters gonna be hate. I remember when ethereum was new in the crypto and a lot of people were blaming it as scam project. It almost surpasses bitcoin with 50 million gaps in the market capitalization.
We don't even see any further update from the core developer. That is gonna be huge, and they will be regretting it to not believe with ethereum.

I think it is not a logic prediction that Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin, for now. Of course I think ethereum has a really good potential for the future to reach a wonderful value and price, but for now, I think bitcoin will continue being the king of the cryptocurrencies.

Do not exaggerate please. Now with lightning network in action Bitcoin has much faster transactions than Ethereum and with a much lower commission per transaction. Ethereum can become the Father and it can happen this year already but only if all the updates they are planning will be implemented in near future.

I think that altcoins has the potential to move bitcoin to a few notches below the rating of cryptocurrency, because now a lot of ICO companies are very qualitative and it will be a company which will have great features and it will be very ambitious!!!

ETH is the basis for 90% of altcoins, very popular too and can be considered as the top coin, but i do not think it's gonna pass bitcoin this year. However i think it's possible to happen that ETH become the number one and surpass the bitcoin

I really think ethereum would replace bitcoin in the near future,bitcoin seems to be declining and going back to where it started,most of the altcoins has potentials but if you ask me which coin would be re-placing bitcoin im sure even the experts would say its ethereum.

2018 will be a promising year for ethereum.there is a very good chance for ethereum.this year will make investor happy.but ethereum price can not exceed bitcoins price.because the difference is too high.in future ethereum can exceed bitcoin price. but it needs time.but one important thing is that bitcoin has potential and it is pioneer of cryptocurrency.so its price will rise sooner or later.and always remember that no one knows what will happen in future. I love ethereum for some reason and hope it will be more profitable.but in 2018, I think it can not be the number one cryptocurrency.

I completely agree with this. Bitcoin is useless, I havent touched the thing in so long, massive transaction fees, slow network. It was a research project which has now reached its limits, which is great we have learnt from it but it has more or less reached the end of its usable life.
Ethereum already has more than half the market cap of bitcoin, soon coinmarket cap will have to start tracking ETH dominance not BTC dominance.

People see ETH price steady while bitcoin go down and expect ETH to be #1. Huh

If bitcoin go down ETH and all crypto go down. The whole world of crypto is based on BITCOIN not ETH.

Perhaps in the future it might change but it's not going to happen any time soon. All exchanges in the world need to be overhauled to ETH for this happen. That is not a easy task.

If I was holding ETH right now I would trade for bitcoin because at this point it's @ all time high levels.
