Keen observation. Bitcoin is moving so slow in this fast pacing field. If one coin does not evolve, it will be obsolete and will go down in terms of value. The store-of-value shilling for BTC will soon be over since I didn't see why other altcoins cannot be a store of value if BTC can be. With constant forking, BTC is not a store of value anymore. BTC is undergoing inflation due to these forks that cannot compete with top altcoins.
Ethereum has high prospects in the future, and of course, so these coins generate huge fortunes for long-term investment.

I am not sure that but not impossible. personally I don't use btc I am comfortable with eth.becouse btc transfer is so high than eth.so my opinion is eth may overtake btc but its not be easy.

As of now ethereum will not overtake bitcoin as base on the world coin index, in the next succeeding year we cannot project for the competetion of cryptocurrency but for me bitcoin is strong it will remain on the top rank of cryptocurrency world.
I think bitcoin still have a chance, remember it will more popular than the rest of the altcoin.

Ethereum is growing very confident recently. People begin to gradually become discouraged in bitcoin and start using ethereum. The new ICOs also add strength to the ethereum. 
I'm sure that Ethereum has the capability to overtake Bitcoin but now today or tomorrow, it will take years before it happens and accomplish. Who knows about the mind of people; they may support Ethereum after the decreasing value of Bitcoin.

I think ethereum is a very capable coin and it is currently the most popular platform for hosting ICOs but i don't think ethereum will be able to surpass Bitcoin simply because Bitcoin is the master of all cryptocurrencies. It is the most popular crypto and without any doubt the most widely accepted crypto available in the market right now. You can easily expect BTC to be above every other crypto available in the market. What does it mean "Bitcoin is the master of all cryptocurrencies"?
Ethereum has lower fees, transactions are faster AND can support ICO's.
Bitcoin has high fees and Bitcoin is slow (transaction time minimum 10 minutes if you pay high enough fee). It isn't decentralized any more too - the transactions are made by few companies which can afford ASICs. Only advantage of Bitcoin is that it is more popular in the media and more people have heard about it, so more people buy it. Lot of these people eaven don't know about Ethereum or its advantages.
If more people would know about Ethereum it would be definitely winner.

I think there will be Bitcoin numbers. This is good from all aspects. That is why Bitcoin transactions will increase further. Because Bitcoin is fast transaction and there is no problem Transaction Gmail Transaction charge is free. And at the time, eth and good time. But it will take a lot of time.
I think you underestimate bitcoin because of its recent drop. Well etherium its true it havent made that big of a drop but still .. bitcoin is the mather of everything .Everyone knows bitcoin and everyone knows that the final target of its invest is bitcoin.
I think it's too early for speculation. I still believe, bitcoin will still have a future in the next few years. but not to close the possibility of ethereum can compete with bitcoin. let's wait what will happen next.
It won't happen in the near future. Definitely not this year, but in several years I believe more in ETH because most ICOs are planned as ETH token and future is in qualite tokens.

Are you sure? for now ethereum does have a better price than other coins, but it is so much different than the bitcoin price, so I think it would be a little difficult if the ethereum overtook bitcoin, and it would take a long time until ethereum could exceed the bitcoin price. But I hope the price ethereum and bitcoin will continue to rise, the more coins that have a good price, the better it will be in the future...
I think this will happen anytime in the future, the actual Bitcoin like talking will always be more believing compared to other coins and ETH in particular. This trust will always continue to build more investors and crypto fans who like bitcoin that leads to major investments into bitcoins. So you see here, the value for bitcoin will always be higher than the ETH.
I personally keep my conclusion that with the present price of Bitcoin about IDR 140.000.000,- and Ethereum IDR 15.000.000, It is really a small opportunity and possiblity for ETH to overtake the price of Bitcoin. The most possible one is to grow up and price may become higher and higher.
This year ETH price can rise its price gradually with the support of official authority. With no controversy and debate on this cryptocurrency, all kind of coin will grow faster and people will invest in this crypto to earn profit for their investment.
